The steak was really good, but the short rib was the standout for me. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I also loved the asparagus that came with it. Overall, the meal was a great value, well prepared, and very enjoyable. Definitely enjoyed everything :) Nice random stop I made, glad I found them read more

The spinach and artichoke dip bowl was half-full. More than enough pita slices for dipping, however this shareable appetizer wasn't. Manager said it was portion controlled. Eight year customer won't be back. read more

I have ordered the Mac and Cheese more times than I can count, especially the BBQ Pork and Short Rib Mac. The wings and bar pies are also quite good. The deserts are also excellent, including the Peanut Butter Brownie. You really can't go wrong at Stone Fire. read more

My rib eye was delivered dry. No sauce on the side. Lacking flavor. Asparagus were extremely overcooked, they looked like skimpy string beans. Smashed potatoes were also shy. I like the crab cake and Mac is delicious. I wish rib eye had more flavor. read more

Food in this area is very sparse, so we tried this on a whim. Food was tasty overall. I got the special- chicken Caesar wrap with French fries. The service was good. A friend was at our table who has a lot of dietary needs (gluten, dairy, and soy) and she struggled to find something on the menu, so fyi for others with that issue. Service was attentive and met expectations. Ambiance was a little dark for midday and maybe a bit outdated all around. While it was positive overall, it didn't feel like anything very special. read more

I rarely waste my time with casting a review but I am surprised at the good reviews this place gets. The food is beyond mediocre and menu choices are not all that great. It was a once and done for us. read more

On our way to Cape May NJ & not wanting to stop at a rest stop we found this place & glad we did. It's a sports bar with a dining-room. Clean and nicely lit. The service was excellent, from the hostess to the server. The food was tasty and prepared to order. I had the chicken sliders with sweet potato fries and hubby had the short-rib cheesesteak with shoestring fries. He really enjoyed his meal. I did too but my fries needed an extra minute or two in the frier and the chicken was small and they are already sliders so the chicken should be the size of the bun, but in all fairness everything was very tasty and fresh. read more

Excellent service and delicious food! Stop by for their ribs. The owner was very gracious and was a great part of the experience.

They charge for ICE in drinks, they should just add it to the price of drinks then there wont be a charge on your bill

Have not been here in a long time and was pleasantly surprised with the food. The fish tacos were so good with Ahi Tuna. The Macaroni salad was rob the best part was warm and garlicky. Our waitress was very friendly. Great atmosphere and comfortable booths. read more

Came here on a Sunday night after another local spot was too busy to seat us. We sat outside immediately (we have a large stroller and we fit perfectly fine) & our waitress Madison was attentive and friendly. We ordered Caesar salad and mozzarella pops to start. Both were delicious, fresh and flavorful. Both large enough to share between two people. I ordered the fried chicken and Mac and cheese which again was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the salmon with roasted potatoes and asparagus. We left full and pleasantly surprised. read more

Had been here pre-covid and it was pretty good, but then started to go downhill a bit. Haven't been there in 2-3 years, thought we'd give it a try again to see how it is now: Atmosphere: if you're up around the balcony, it's cozy - if you in the center of the main floor the lighting is too bright and it's noisey! Service: Average at best! Food: Nowhere as good as it used to be! Drinks were watered down (weak) and overall - just not worth the time / money to give it another try....... read more

Always love their food. Chicken wings scarpiello are my fave. Bar can get quite loud on a busy night. The dining room is a bit quieter. All in l their food is great. Patience when busy is a must. It's not fast food. read more

We were a birthday party of 14. The food for the most part was fair to good with only one entree and one appetizer rated as very good by 2 of us. Personally, for me, I started with a bowl of French onion soup. It was horrible. I can honestly say that it was the worst I have ever had. Any time French onion soup is on the menu, I order it. I sampled some of the other appetizers; except for the broccoli which was very good, they were at best just average. Presentation was good but the taste did it an injustice. I had a smash burger with asparagus for my entree. The burger was very good but the asparagus were under cooked and tough. For desert, I ordered crème brulee. The sugar topping was very thin and provided minimum crunch. The custard was not chilled enough as it was still partially liquid. Very unappetizing. The ambiance was really good except when anyone went to the restroom, they had to walk past our table. I do not consider this as a negative, just a comment. The best part of the entire experience was the staff. They were all very friendly and each of them took the opportunity to wish my wife a happy birthday. I really appreciated that. Our server, Judy, rates a 10 all by herself. She was outstanding and went out of her way in seeing to the desires of each and every one of us. This young lady, by herself, raised the grade I give this restaurant. Will I give the Stone Fire Grille a second chance? Probably not. read more

This was our first and last visit here. The food was excellent and I am sad not to be going back! The place is dirty. The decor is beyond description (not in a good way). The prices were equal to beautiful venues we have visited. It is not a full bar. The cocktails I usually drink were unavailable. The wine list was sketchy as well. I ended up just drinking water. Service was terrible, even though they were well staffed and many empty tables. The bathroom on the other hand is amazingly clean. read more

Stone Fire Grille is a real friendly restaurant/bar just South of Toms River. Their food is very good and the staff are super friendly, especially at the bar, namely Tía..una camarera muy simpática y servicial. I asked for a beer menu, No, she replied and began to recite. No craft beer???.....so I ordered a Johnny Walker Black. Then I yearned for a Philly Cheesesteak, SOME COMBO, huh? The sandwich was great with pickles and fries. The jalapeños kicked it up a notch. They have a variety of food from snacks to full entrees. Big parking lot, clean restrooms, good music capped off a nice evening. I gave it four stars because it's excellent for the type of place it is, not gourmet but decent food, not a classy bar, just a nice local hang out. Tía says it's always busy. read more

I'm only giving it a two because the bingo hosted by BJ was so much fun! The food was horrible! The chicken noon soup tasted weird, seared tuna fishy and gross, and my sister's shared the French dip they said was good. I would go for bingo and a drink definitely not food! read more

It was our first time here. We ordered buffalo wings, garlic parmesan wings and french onion soup. The buffalo wings were edible, but the soup and garlic parm wings were terrible. stone fire apparently is against a mother standing up for her child. the staff service there apparently doesn't know how to handle a verbal altercation. once considered this restaurant a safe place...but it is the total opposite. I counted on the staff that I know personally to have my back and let me down and turned their back on me. I did the right thing and they know what went down but that doesn't matter apparently. the only people who can betray you, are the people you trust... read more

The food is good. It's a great little local spot! The service is fantastic. Very friendly! Good live music!

Out the gate, 4 stars because I was disappointed in the cocktail and beer menu. ALOT could be done to improve that situation. But, the choices they do have are solid, and certainly popular fare. But the rest of our meal was PHENOMENAL!! I had the fried chicken with cheez-it encrusted Mac & Cheese. I had questions about the gravy...but it turned out to be amazing. The portion was huge! I'm pretty sure there was an entire 1/2 a chicken on my plate. The fried parts were crispy and salty and delicious. The Mac & Cheese offset that really well. The meat was not dry. Simply...awesome. My husband had the Ahi tacos with sweet potato fries. The portions of tuna in the tacos was impressive! And they seasoned the tuna extremely well. They did not rely on the sauce to carry the flavor for the taco. Hubby says the only thing they could do to improve, would be to add salsa. But he's a hothead. So. There's that. He also usually doesn't eat the fries, even when he orders them. However, this time, he ate ALL the sweet potato fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The seasoning went very well with the meal. Our server, Tyler, was prompt and definitely made sure we had what we needed throughout the meal. We are for sure bringing this place into rotation. read more

Fried chicken was horrible and had a freezer burn taste to it. The forks we were given were all dirty.

Went here last night, got right in. Ordered the fried chicken with Mac n cheese and it was really good. Also got a coors light. My husband and I met my mother and father here today at 1 pm. When we entered the girl asked us if we had a reservation...no one was in the restaurant. 3 tables and about 6 people at the bar. Service was awful-slow with no check backs. Our shared truffle Mac and cheese came out cold 2 times (yes I walked it up to the bar and returned it and it came out cold again) and was served with my fathers soup AND his main course at the same time . Then my husband's wings came 10 minutes later. Then my sandwich and mom's salad 15 minutes after the server came back and asked if we needed anything else. Food was mediocre at best and we spent $100.00 on lunch. Never again. Roy Rogers is right down the road and is better. read more

Excellent food. We did a takeout order but the food was still excellent. My boyfriend got the Beachwood Burger and I got the Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was to die for. It's such a simple dish but man does this place do it well. The burger was so good that I had to make room for a couple bites, much to my boyfriend's delight (NOT!). Dunno when/if I'll be back in Beachwood, but if I am then I'll be sure to go to Stone Fire! read more

I enjoy certain things at this establishment, it's hit or miss, but it's a decent place to eat.

Stone Fire has been renovated and is a big improvement over the somewhat seedy bar that used to be there at its location. Girls seem to like it because it's a bar without being a sports bar, so it's a good place to bring a girl on a date to. They have some interesting things on the menu. But the beer is not outstanding, and it's not really a place for a guy to hang out at after work. In summary: an independently owned restaurant with a bar with a clean, renovated look that appeals mostly to women and to many men, too. read more
