My ex and I ate here yesterday, September 6th, for lunch. It's a cozy little place in downtown Toms River. There's other places to eat nearby, coffee shops, etc. It's street parking with meters. I think there's a municipal lot close by but you probably have to pay for that too. Very friendly service, and the owner Mike was great to talk to. They also have nice outdoor seating in back. My ex had the chicken pesto panini with fries, I had the bacon and brie omelette with breakfast potatoes and rye toast. The French fries are just the way I like them, fresh cut and no flour or batter. Just excellent flavor. Portions are generous. She gave me a bite of her sandwich, top notch on flavor, texture and temperature. I have the other half for leftovers! My omelette was good, cheese could have been a little more melty, eggs a little less done, but otherwise very good. Rye toast was excellent. I believe they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. We will definitely be back because I liked everything about the place and the menu looks amazing. I can't wait to try other options. You can tell that they put care into what they serve you.

The owners are friendly and make you feel "at home." The food is a "foodies delight." Warm yet ecletic menu. May I suggest the pork belly sliders with kimchee ... fabulous !

TOMS RIVER: although they brand themselves as a cafe, A Thyme For All Seasons is much more than that! Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they have an elevated American-style menu with unique specials and wine! Chef Michael has worked with a bunch of famous chefs in his career and creates delicious meals at reasonable prices. Leashed dogs are welcome at their outdoors tables in the front and the wine patio in the back. We sat out front and enjoyed the quiet hustle of downtown. Our server, who is also one of the owners, was very attentive and so sweet. A not quite so hidden gem at the Jersey Shore!

On Friday nights, Toms River closes off part of Main St and it turns into a fun night out with outdoor dining offered by local eateries, bands playing at Battleriver Brewing and/or Garden State Distillery and the opportunity to just be out on the street with adult beverages. This time we enjoyed dinner by A Thyme for All Seasons. Our servers were super friendly and food was delicious. We had the filet mignon sliders, Mac n cheese, and watermelon salad. Everything was very good. Will definitely eat there again.

My sister, niece, and I went to breakfast at A Thyme for All Seasons. We were the only customers; it was quiet and hot, but my sister had enjoyed eating there before. Before we ordered, loud music began playing. I could not hear the server, so I asked if the music could be turned down a little, which it was. Once we placed our orders, the music became loud again, and I could not hear the conversation at the table. Although the food was ok, the loud music and heat made the breakfast uncomfortable. The waitress took away our plates, not even asking if I wanted more coffee. When she brought our check, the prices on the check were different than those on the menu. My sister asked to speak with a manager about the discrepancy. The manager/owner told us the prices on the menu were wrong; he pointed to a small chalkboard that could not be read from where we were seated which mentioned that egg dishes were 25% higher. The waitress did not mention the prices nor did the large visible chalkboard noting the specials. It seems as if that the owner was intentionally deceptive and hoping no one would notice the price changes. The owner was rude and told us that he could not afford to change the menus and loud music is expected in a restaurant. He did ultimately remove the price of our drinks to placate us. Although the food was ok, the service, loud music, deceptive prices and attitude of the owner are unacceptable. I will not return to A Thyme for All Seasons and based on other reviews, there are a number of people who have had similar experiences. There are several good places to eat in Toms River, but A Thyme for All Seasons is not one of them.

Great food as always and great to see my old friend, chef Mike. Best hidden spot downtown that feels like home when you're there.

There is plenty of street parking, as well as a nearby lot with four hour parking. My girlfriend and I visited on a Friday evening in August. They have lots of seating both inside and out. I was very impressed by the selection of beers on offer: a whopping 26 beers and one hard seltzer, all despite the small size of the brewery. The variety was impressive as well. I've been to a lot of NJ breweries, and I saw a lot of beer styles here that I rarely, if ever, see at other places. This included a Japanese rice lager, an ESB, a white stout on nitro, a black lager, and a red wine ale. The real standouts for me were the Bluecoat (blueberry blonde), the Bayonet (honey stout on nitro), and the Red Headed Vixen (aforementioned red wine ale). My girlfriend and I each had a flight and a full pour, and we loved everything we tried. We live over an hour away, so we can't be regulars, but definitely hope to come back someday soon.

We approached the tap guy outside and asked him how seating and service worked told us to sit any where. Then that was it. We sat in a corner awkwardly for 10 mins just exchanging glances till we left. Don't know if we had a server or we were supposed to go and order our drinks and bring them to the table. The menu looked cool but didn't understand if it was to be brought to us or if we called the number on the menu and ordered. There was at least one server we saw.
