Great service and nostalgic visit. Frequented this building many a time in college. Pleasant rediscovery.

I went at an off time. I still was able to enjoy all that stone arch brewpub had to offer. I did sit in the pub area, which was nice. Next time I think I might sit more in the restaurant area and see what that is like. I chose stone arch because of the sale that they were offering. It was a caprese, peach salad. The presentation was very nice. It was lettuce, sliced fresh, peaches, mozzarella pearls, fresh basil, and baby tomatoes. I think it came with a vinaigrette dressing. It did not disappoint. Being in Wisconsin I also got a side of cheese curds. Really unusual for me. Since they were square came with the ranch dressing. Quite excellent. Service was good. Prices reasonable I would return.

This was such an awesome place!!! We absolutely loved it here and spent quite a bit of time here. We had originally planned to make this a quick stop but ended up getting a tour haha. This is an old brewery which originally was two buildings. The Horse and buggies would pull up in between the buildings and unload/load up. This has since been bricked in and is the main entrance and hallway. The main brewery is downstairs. There is a tap room and gift shop on the main floor. Upstairs is an event space. There is also a very nice outdoor seating area. The beer is great! We didn't eat, but we loved the whole dining area in the brewery. There's also a game room which was super cute. The guy working in the gift shop loved his job and was super passionate. He and his wife got married there! I have already recommended people come here and check it out. It was fantastic!!

My wife and I rarely go out to eat and in the past stone arch was always a favorite. Not anymore, the food was mediocre at best. The short rib/brisket burger is a pre made patty that looks like a Burger King burger. My food was cold, and I mean really cold. The pizza was good so I'll give them a 2 star, but when you spend over $120 on a meal for your family and it not only sucks but they refuse to even say sorry. It's unacceptable

The burgers were very good and the kettle chips had an excellent crunch. The waiter was constantly attending our group of 16 and put up with noisy babies and toddlers. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the pub ambience proved an excellent overall experience, will definitely come again!

I am not from the area. I'm from a southern state. This place was recommended by the locals and I can see why. There were a lot of different choices in the kind of "atmosphere" you can have when you come here. You can sit outside, in the basement, by the music, and a large slew of other options. The food, comes out fast and with good quality. I've never had Cheese Curds before in my life and I'm afraid that wherever I go, it wont be as good as it is here. The beer is decent. there are a lot of beer options and I only had a couple but I thought they were good for the price paid. 9/10 would recommend.

I got dinner with two friends on a Saturday night. The place was packed, but we had a great server and didn't have to wait long for our food. Two of the meals were overly salted, but that would depend on your preference. The decorations and setting were very original and fun. The cheese curds were great!

Excellent food and drink in a historic unique setting. Had the opportunity to stop by this amazing restaurant during work travels for a glorious meal and beverage. The service was amazing and the atmosphere energy and clientele matched.

"Meh." That was our thought while walking out of here (well, and after our first few bites of our meal too). I have been hankering for a GOOD plate of nachos for a few months now, and Stone Arch wasn't my initial choice, but after seeing their Carnitas Nachos on the menu, I thought I'd go here and give it a try! Isn't it deflating when you have been looking forward for a yummy, filling supper after a long week of work? Or a long day? and then you get your food and, while it takes care of the "filling the stomach" part, it fails on the flavor-fulfilling aspect of the meal? That was this. This was that. It filled my stomach, and by no means did it taste bad, but it just really didn't...TASTE like much. Very flat flavor. Boring, and super mediocre. I was expecting them to be better, especially for $14. My SO ordered their BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich, and he said his sandwich wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't memorable. Go here for average, and you'll be satisfied.

Ask the Community - Stone Arch Brewpub

Is this the original brew pub in the basement that I went to 40 yrs ago and got cherry beer?

We have been here for 17 years, and were formerly know as Stone Cellar (2004-2012). Prior to us there were a number of restaurants, breweries, and other businesses here in the "Between the Locks" building. We have an excellent Cherry Wheat brew that… Read more

We had a private room with pre-set menu that included bread service + soup or salad. Do not skip on the fresh bread with compound butter. I never knew how delicious bacon Parmesan compound butter would be. I want to be a butter snob now and only crave compound butters moving forward. :D Food presentation is beautiful but taste is what wins me over. The tenderloin is magnificent. All of the flavors are in perfect symmetry - the sprouts and mashed potatoes were dynamite. Having broccolini as another vegetable was even better. This is a generously sized dish and easily makes for 2 meals. I can't say enough positive things about my first Fratellos experience and very much look forward to coming back for another taste.

We went to one of their limited dinner services. I had called the day before and reserved a table. When we were quickly seated at a table by the entrance, I admit being suspect of how our visit would go. The hostess asked if the table was alright and pointed out a heater by the table. Not only did it keep us warm, it made our table feel cozy. Despite it being very busy, I'd describe the restaurant as being a great place for a special date. Our waiter for the evening brought great energy. His timing was great and his knowledge of the food served was helpful. Without hesitation he suggested the Napolitana (which was phenomenal). He also made the restaurant less pretentious than I had assumed it would be and it definitely wasn't pretentious). We ordered the empanadas and beet salad as appetizers. Great picks and I'd return just to get the empanadas! As previously stated, I had the Napolitana. My dining partner has the quinoa bowl but added chicken to it. No complaints for either. We finished with two desserts suggested by our waiter. Although truly full from our meal, we polished off the tasty treats. I'm going back, just disappointed I've haven't visited it before now.

I'm just kidding, I always have more to say. ;) But, in fairness, it's a great little spot that's kind of tucked away about a block and a half off the main strip (College Blvd or whatever it's called). But, it's a hidden gem worth searching for! We were made aware of this place thanks to the kind woman working at our hotel. We were in town for a game at Lambeau, and we heard that there was a shuttle from Rookie's to the field, which we definitely wanted to make use of! (That's a whole other review, but let's just say, it was an experience I'll never forget, and one I would repeat in a heartbeat!) The crowd here was clearly Packers fans. But, in their defense, they didn't make us opposing team fans feel threatened or not welcomed. Quite the opposite! Once they realized we were going to be respectful of their place and their folks, they welcomed us! The food really is good, especially for the money. It's one of those rare inexpensive places left in this country, where a pretzel appetizer easily feeds a family of four! LOL! I wish there weren't just two of us, because we also ordered boneless wings and cheese curds! Everything was hot and fresh, and it all tasted great. The drinks were large, inexpensive, and cold. No complaints at all. The service was also really wonderful, with friendly staff and very efficient servers. Like I said, nobody gave us a lot of grief for being from out of town. But, we could tell right away, this was a "local spot" and for a very good reason. Locals and regulars definitely make up the customer base, but they keep coming back for all the other reasons provided: good food, good drinks, and very reasonable prices. Example: I offered to buy a beverage for a very nice person who was incredibly helpful to us, specifically in arranging our spots on the shuttle bus. She was drinking a rail Old Fashioned. You know what that cost me? $3.50. That's not a South Park reference. That was what I paid for a rail cocktail! Anyway... if I'm ever in Appleton again, I'm stopping by. This really is a diamond in the rough, and one well worth your time in searching for.
