date of service: February 05, 2013 Hire Again: Yes…read moreApproximate Cost: $118.00 Description Of Work: Cleaned carpets in 2 bedrooms, living room and a small carpeted doggie step. They also deodorized 1 bedroom where I had major problem with a new dog I adopted with a pottying problem. I also had them scotch guard a small entryway. These rooms are very small, and no furniture needed moved, actual carpet to be cleaned was pretty minimal. Member Comments: They arrived when scheduled, worked very quickly - didn't have time to chit chat but still was professional - I'm sure keeping to business allows them to max number of jobs completed in order to keep their prices very reasonable. The only issue I had was I could still smell odor in the "potty bedroom" - I called them after a couple days, they told me that the deodorizer needs 72hrs to allow wicking, then sweep good, then allow another 24 hrs and vacuum again, also that when vacuuming the odor might get stronger but in the end it should improve, then if I was still bothered by any odor then call and they would give the room a 2nd shot of deodorizer; it worked exactly how they described and improved 75%, but still had some odor - I called, they came back out, gave it a 2nd shot, I went through the 72/24 routine a 2nd time (this time without a dehumidifier, allowing it to dry on its own, which was another suggestion they made). It now has no odor! The only complaint I had was that they should have taken the time to explain the 72/24 routine in the beginning, I had a friend come over and we had rearranged furniture after it had dried, I then had to "unarrange" so they could get to the bad carpeting area again, then rearrange again, also I was just lucky I had not vacuumed the carpet before the 72 hr "no vacuum period", I suppose that most of the time this may not be required. But they were very pleasant, professional and priced VERY reasonable - I will definitely use them again.

Ross Restoration charged us almost double what they quoted us. They never gave us any indication…read morethat the project was going over budget and there was no work change request or anything to show extra work was needed. I understand a small variance between quote and final invoice but this goes beyond that. They refused to negotiate the final invoice. Terrible service, do not recommend. The owner responded saying my problem is with insurance. It is not. My insurance is treating me fairly and paying the claim. My problem is with the bad faith estimate that was provided to me by Ross Restoration. I think his response shows their lack of ownership of when they make mistakes in their work. There are regulations that are supposed to prevent surprise billing and it is reasonable that consumers shouldn't expect more than a 10% difference between estimate and final bill. His response is a great example of why I do not recommend them.

If I could give less than 3 stars I would. I hired this man to install a dishwasher in my home. It…read moretook him 10 hours and the job was not done correctly or completely. He shocked himself during the wiring process because he didn't want to turn the electricity off, and he flooded the area under our kitchen sink and it dropped down through the floor into our basement onto my dish washer. He was also uncommunicative and didn't respond for 8 hours the day he was meant to come install our appliance. He also cross threaded the inlet on our dishwasher and used a TAP AND DIE on the elbow that attaches to the water inlet on our dishwasher. I reviewed him on google and he has since deleted his website and removes his business from being searchable and reviewable on google. I have attached screen shots of my original review. We have also contacted our bank to get our money back. We paid $400 for him to ruin our dishwasher.

But once they finished on the 3rd night and I went out and looked at the cleanup I was greatly disappointed. They left leaves and tree branches laying under the wood they cut from the last tree and pieces were anywhere from 2 to 3 feet long on the last tree. Not sure they got the rake out on the last job. Very disappointing.

Dishonest company!!!…read more On Mother's Day, my family found water leaking into our home in our kitchen from our ceiling/wall. I have always recommended Protechs Restoration as a firefighter, through their 800-Boardup connection. So, I called them and they responded to our home for water mediation. Our baseboards were already removed, due to our kitchen floor being replaced. The employees looked at our roof (from MY LADDER) and probed the wall with a moisture meter. They went into our newly finished basement and probed the ceiling in a vent directly below we're the water was on the floor above (using MY LADDER and SCREW DRIVER). The supervisor arrived and said they were going to set up a dehumidifier, and 2 fans to dry the wall. He said they would return "tomorrow" to check the wall and pickup the equipment. The next day, I saw an hour meter on the dehumidifier and the wall was dry and Protechs Restoration didn't show up as we were told. Because I didn't want to be charged, I shut off the dehumidifier and the fans, at 23 hours. Protechs didn't show up until Wednesday and they picked up the equipment without saying anything to us. Our insurance paid part of the cost of the entire incident, but it was under 1k after our deductible. Our insurance said they didn't cover the roof, because it was "wind driven rain". I heard this term from the protechs supervisor when they responded to our home. Our insurance received a bill from Protechs (we never disclosed our insurance information) and the Protechs bill said "Wind driven rain". We didn't call them to diagnose the cause, we called them for water mediation. Protechs provided us with a bill for $1,368.87, but not itemized. I was told by a former employee of the company that they offer discounts to first responders, so I inquired about a discount and was denied. I requested an itemized bill, to see what exactly I was paying for and it was provided. They charged us with 3 days of drying, with 3 days for each piece of equipment. I contested the 3 days and I was told that was their minimum dry time. I asked why they told me they would return the next day, and they never replied to me. I asked again in a long email and the response was pay your bill, because your insurance approved it. Excuse me? I never signed anything, and was never provided any information from Protechs. My email also asked for the removal of the two days of drying that wasn't done. I was more than willing to pay for the work that was completed. A few weeks went by and we were given an ultimatum, pay the bill or it would be sent to collections. I thought about fighting this in court, but I don't want a lean or something stupid put on my home by this dishonest company for $413.80, so we reluctantly paid the full amount. I will no longer recommend Protechs or 1-800-Boardup to anyone. If this company will treat a firefighter this way, how will they treat the victims of fires or other water losses. I encourage all my firefighter brothers and sisters to really think about who you recommend to your scenes. Protechs is the 1-800-Boardup company for our area, and I intend to reach out to them as well. Since my insurance didn't cover the roof, I tore the shingles off above the leak. Guess what, not wind driven rain! There was a damn hole in the roof, under the shingles, and it finally started leaking. I ate the cost of repairing the roof, which cost me over $600 in materials. I did the labor myself with the help from a good friend, which saved me some money. I'm also encouraging all my friends in the insurance business, as my wife and mother in law have been in their entire careers. DO NOT RECOMMEND OR MENTION PROTECHS TO YOUR CLIENTS!! I will now inform anyone looking for a restoration company about my experience and tell them to research Paul Davis, Water Out, ServePro, etc... and make an educated decision of who they want to entrust their property too.

I asked how much it would cost and I could not get an amount and there was nothing to sign. This company is very expensive One guy from different company drained the entire crawl space for $366, than I asked Protech to come and dry it out. They went in the crawl space and said it was already dry except two small little wet spots on the ground so they sucked it up. I was not able to get an estimate, later got the bill for $575 , it was more expensive than the company that drained entire crawl space. I was furious asked that bill be adjusted , it was wrong and they said no. Don't trust, make sure they give u an estimate. They are expensive and would not work with me on the bill. They did not do $575 worth of work therefore I was robbed. Find a different company.

They don't pay the pro rewards, so if you are a tile contractor read and follow:…read moreI have been passively trying to get paid for commissions earned tracking back to April 2024. The database is primitive and they offer no modern tools for tracking anything. There are far superior programs available with equally low commission rates but with better tools to help you reach sales goals. The Tile Bar is one, Ferguson Builds, Wayfair and Floor & Decor are just a few. My commissions should be easy to payout. There is no customer satisfaction to be concerned with and TTS shop is paid immediately in most situations. They told me that the local stores have to "click a button" to get the commision active in the payroll and it is often over looked, effectively passing the blame to the local local level. Im not a pass the blame kind of guy, however and this to me is unacceptable. what it means is you can not escalate issues, there is no where to escalate them to. On my commissions, they did send a direct deposit to my bank in April of this year. However, it was not for all commissions, only one, from June 2025. They addressed it to my domain name; not, my name, not the payee: or pay to: lines in their database, which is managed by paymentworks. How this could happen is beyond me but my bank refused the transfer because it was not addressed to me. My bank notified me within milliseconds. so I am sure they were notified as well. After a couple weeks I contacted them again, and they said it was my fault, that i needed to update my information in the database. So i went to do so and found everything to be correct. Furthermore my domain is not included in the information at paymentworks. The only place you can find Phlattile.com is in their own rewards account area, where it is listed as the billto: entitty. So I asked that they send it again but with the right name, they said they would look into it, and a month later i got a check - addressed to my domain name. I called na dasked if i coiuld just take the check to the local store and have thekk cash it and thehy said no, now its the first of June 2026. So I call to tell them I can't do anything with the check - for only one commission mind you, I have to go through all of this a few more times to get the rest. I was told i had to wait for the payroll cycle, on the 18th, and that they hope this would be the last they heard about it. The 19th I call, they said they were sending a check. I asked again if they could direct deposit it and they said no. I asked for a tracking number and they said they would look into it. Today is June 23rd 2026, and still no check.
