We have had a huge mystery stain in our landing upstairs for about two years, that was said by many carpet cleaning companies that it couldn't be removed...we would most likely have to have our carpet replaced. This past week we tried out Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration for the first time. We were so impressed with the job that Alan did on our luxury vinyl flooring. The floor is about 5 years old and had never been professionally cleaned -- only me pushing a wet mop around on it once every week or so. The floor has a textured finish and there was plenty of grit trapped in those crevices that I just could not get out. In less than an hour Alan had my floor looking like it did when it was first installed. He did an especially good job on several high traffic areas and left them looking as clean as ever. Alan also gave us several tips for everyday maintenance of our floor which we appreciated very much. Distictive Cleaner's owner personally did our carpets, some of which are very old (15+ years, maybe 20) and very very used. All the carpeting looks brand new now. It was truly amazing. My teenage daughter gets all manner of things on her carpet and it was very spotted with gummy spots and inky spots and who knows what else and now it truly looks new. I can't recommend this company enough. They are not the cheapest by a long shot, but after going to other cheaper places and not being impressed at all, I think it's truly worth it. Allen spent many hours doing 4 bedrooms, a hall and a family room and there wasn't a single spot he didn't get out. I'll definitely go back to them the next time. They charge by the square foot, I think, so I may not move as much furniture next time if it doesn't really need to be cleaned under there. That should bring the price down a bit. While getting ready to sell a home we purchased carpeting for two rooms and decided to just clean the rest of the carpeting. Well I wished I had called Distinctive first! I could have saved myself from having to purchase new carpeting. Alan is an absolute miracle worker! When I was out of town for a few days, my kitty had an "accident" on a rug I dearly love. The urine left ugly brown stains. In my haste to remove the urine smell, I used a well-known pet urine removal product. It did help the smell, but also caused some of a darker color to bleed into a lighter color. I made it worse! Disaster! I thought my rug was totally ruined. But Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration was recommended to me another cleaner. I called and the delightful Audrey sent Alan to look at the mess my kitty and I made. He was pretty confident he could at least significantly reduce the discoloration. He did more than that! Audrey was very understanding when I had to reschedule my carpet cleaning " assuring me it was ok, life happens. Allen was here on time and called to say he's was coming., He did a very professional job plus got a big stain out plus all the hot pink nail polish out of the carpet and my sofa. VERY CLEAN CARPETS! I previously had carpet cleaned by Alan when he worked for another company ~5 years ago, then I was very pleased with his thoroughness and knowledge. I used Distinctive Cleaning to clean my carpet, upholstery and my epoxy garage floor. I see multiple reviews for carpet so I will share my experience for the upholstery and epoxy floor. Alan spent a lot of time on my sofa and chairs. Because we have dogs that enjoy spending time on the sofa, the dog hair was embedded into the fabric. It had been years since I had this sofa looked at. The dining chairs had multiple spots as well. I could tell that he really cared about getting everything clean. For 7 years now, I have battled my tile flooring in my kitchen. I have tried everything to keep this whitish color tile looking clean ...mopping, scrubbing, homemade baking soda pastes...I even hired another cleaning company to professionally clean it, but no matter what I tried my tile still looked dirty. We had new light grey carpet installed about 18 months ago and had two problem spots arise since. A greasy black area underneath the whole rocking chair and what looked like furniture stains from the feet of a borrowed wooden bedframe.
