One of my dining partners did, and after seeing it, I was glad I did not. The pasta looked as if it was cooked properly with a variety of mushrooms;, but I did not see any chanterelles. I would have been disappointed. The salmon filet and grilled vegetables were presented nicely. The clams in miso broth were an unusual presentation; the stark white shells and plate contrasted sharply with the brown broth. The broth was tasty though. The desserts were also a mixed bag. The ganache on the German chocolate cake was rich and delicious. The pumpkin basque cheesecake did not have the consistency of a typical basque cake, but had a good flavor. As mentioned, it used to be in Bellevue, so my friend and I would walk over on Tuesdays when it was here during our lunch break. There was a huge sign that said, #LumpiaLife, with a few tables that were set up for cooking and the food. The menu is straightforward with a few items, including three different types of lumpias and combinations, with daily specials. The first time I had 88 Cues, I tried the combination with the lumpia, pork belly adobo and pancit, which was outta this world! The pork belly adobo was so incredibly flavorful and good, so is worth the upcharge for this meat versus the chicken version. Then when I came back, I tried the special, a smoky palabok, which was the best palabok I've ever had! Jason is the owner of 88 Cues and he remembered us from last time, calling out our names. He was also very responsive through Instagram when my friend tried to contact him, to make sure he was in Bellevue during the lunch hour.
