Love this place! Located on 99 super close to Greenlake Park. Great store for all your Mexican food…read moreneeds and products. Nice hot sauce selection, dried peppers, beverages, pan dulce, and meats and cheeses. The store isn't very large and aisles are short and tight, but selves are well stocked and organized. There is also hot food in the back, like a small restaurant. The food is buffet style so you just walk up to the counter and let the server know what you want. I got a chili relleno with rice and beans. I also got some of their carnitas. The chili relleno was delicious and made in the traditional way. I really enjoyed eating that. Rice and beans were not the best that I had, but were decent. Their tamales are also very good. They are seasoned well and the masa is tender. I wish I had something positive to say about the carnitas, but I don't. That was my least favorite. They were very dry and almost crispy when I had them and lacked flavor. I might have come on a bad day for those. If you want cabeza, they have that there a part of the buffet as well. There is parking available on the south side of the building and in the back. The owner is super nice, friendly, and helpful. I was looking for a specific hot sauce for my sister and asked him about it. He didn't have the brand I was looking for, but recommended a similar one. I trusted his rec and bought it. My sister loves it and now she has a new favorite and wants more. Great place to support!

The broth was so flavorful, the meat, so tender, and the vegetables created a perfect balance. Eaten with soft warm tortillas, I couldn't ask for more. Super friendly service. Seating is limited and uncomfortable (stools at a shallow counter).

Appreciated the option for a glass of wine or seasonal housemade soda drink. It took three hours, which was in part because it was a little disorganized. That's long time to sit there. For anyone seeking a cooking + tasting experience, I totally recommend checking out The Pantry!…read more At The Pantry, there are a variety of cuisine you can learn, cook and eat. For my friend and I, we signed up for the Puerto Rican Pantry class. Overall, class was fantastic! Our instructor, Gino, did a great job leading the course. We learned how to make 4 dishes, 2 sauces, had yummy wine along the way, and learned some new skills/tips on cooking better. Experience wise~ class had a nice mix of hands on activities (ex: food prep), learning and watching, and towards the end, eating all the food we made. The food made was super yummy and so so filling. Plus, the cozy kitchen made it a much more immersive feel for the class. Overall, had a blast with the class and definitely coming back for more of Gino's courses :) Additional Tips ~ The course we took was around 3 hours long, so would recommend eating a light snack before class. Parking is limited to street, so come early before class to get a spot.

But the real problem is the exorbitant prices and the shoppers here look more than willing to pay those prices, so they must be really very well off. Typical prices are 25% to 40% higher than Safeway or Fred Meyer and that's not an exaggeration. Most of the deli salads are $10 a pound or more which is crazy high. The deli sandwiches are delicious and they are high price but they are well loaded with food about $9 each. Fresh lamb cuts are $15.99 a pound; fresh hamburger $10 a pound. Eggs are $9.00 a dozen and more. Talenti gelato is $6 a pint which is $1.50 higher than Amazon Fresh. I really don't buy much here except things like the deli sandwiches or hard to find soft drinks like Fentiman's, which are a real treat. The rest is just too expensive. Freezer manager: check them. There is a LOT of frost on the ice cream and frozen treats. You probably have a seal leak somewhere. I really liked the Skagit Valley Deli Chicken Sandwich, esp. when heated.
