Best Fresh Pasta…read more This review is based on the products-- we've been going to the farmer's market and always find ourselves visiting the La Pasta stand every time. The ladies at the stand are always very friendly and helpful in their suggestions (such as which type of sauce to pair with the pasta, or the flavor of the pasta or ravioli filling). Thus far, we've gotten the egg bucatini, the red pepper bucatini, the seasonal gnocchi, and the dreamy garlic spread. Generally, I'm not a big fan of fresh pasta, because many times, I feel it gets too mushy (or perhaps it is the quality of the pasta). La Pasta fresh pasta has never been mushy; it has that imperative al dente bite-- a clear sign of good quality pasta. The gnocchi is flavorful and pairs well with the dreamy garlic spread. Looking forward to trying the pumpkin ravioli later in the week. The price is comparable to the fresh pasta you would find at a specialty store, like Whole Foods, Metropolitan Market, or PCC Markets-- however, La Pasta's quality is far superior. La Pasta products are worth the price. We look forward to trying any new products, as well as upcoming seasonals. We also hope that they may have a brick and mortar store in the future on the Eastside for the farmer's market offseason.

Aurora Ave is well-known for its plethora of Mexican food trucks (at least to me, what did YOU…read morethink it was known for?) El Camión stacks up with the best of 'em. Which is good, because you can't feasibly name your food truck "The Truck" if your food is trash. We were famished, so my dog and I were on a late night hunt for an Absolute Unit-Rito. Something that would take an army to demolish. After a disappointing realization that one of my favorite spots was closed for the night, little did I know that the stars were aligning for a real Guac-Ness Monster that was headed my way. I think that one of the truly special things about El Camión is that it's in the Home Depot parking lot. What's better than taking in the aura of home improvement before smashing some tacos? Let's get to the food here. I knew I was getting a burrito, but what type? It turns out that El Camión is serving up cochinita pibil, which is a rarity in Seattle, so I had to give it a try. They will also LOAD up your burrito with vegetables for $2. And I'm not talking about some skimpy little vegetables. We had some thick slices of peppers, onions, and even squash. This made me feel a liiiiiiittle better about the long term health effects of my burrito obsession. This may have been one of the heftiest lads I've ever encountered on my lifelong apprenticeship of burrito studies. If I could give you one piece of advice here, do NOT operate heavy machinery while eating this. It's meant to be enjoyed while sitting down. But what the meal lacks in structural integrity, it makes up for in flavor. As a sauce-boi, I applaud El Camión for their variety of salsas. This is completely necessary on a burrito of this size to cut through all of the fat. Major props to The Truck. Stop here after you get your new light fixtures for a good time.

It's a reduced price, not wholesale, place for chefs, cooks and restaurant owners to pick up bulk supplies for reasonable prices. They're not going to get any lower than this especially if you order through the mail. Today I picked up a case of monster energy drinks which is 24 for $38 and now I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 3.79 each. There are supplies even for barista stands things like cups and stirrers and coffee syrups and coffee beans and the like. A good supply of essential professional cooking cookware like inserts, whips and utensils and some really good knives. For the bar there are dozens of different Frozen appetizers that patrons love like deep fried shrimp, chicken strips, zucchini, even pickles breaded, onion rings and other things like burritos, chicken strips and the like. They have a whole walk-in dairy refrigerator it's bigger than my bedroom which is quite nice when you need a lot of supplies and don't like the crowns of the supermarkets. No you do not need to be a member or have a special sign or club membership to shop here and no there is no fee for that it's just like a regular supermarket only with a different kind of display setup. In fact there is no display setup. They just open the containers for you to see what you're getting and then you can buy brand new containers of what you like. In some instances they will break a case like cleaning supplies, pinesol and other things too. Sometimes it's fun just to come out here because you never know what you see that will surprise you. Location could be better, it's off the beaten path past 130th Street North and Stone avenue North off to the east side kind of tucked away there. By the way, I still call it cash and carry because it has a nice ring to it.

Convenient location in North Seattle, ample parking, no membership needed, and prices often lower than local grocery stores and Costco. Most people who shop here are office, food service, restaurant, cafe, and catering staff. But the general public can also score great stuff in bulk, larger quantities. Perfect for those big gatherings. I've stopped in for kitchen gear, picnic supplies, spices, condiments, baking ingredients, and dairy products. Convenience and savings without the crazy crowds.
