At the new Greenwich studio, I worked with Humberto, the lead fitter, and he was fantastic--friendly, professional, and put me completely at ease. The studio itself is gorgeous: stylish, chic, and perhaps one of the nicest Alts locations I've been to. Plus, there's plenty of parking right on Putnam Avenue, which makes it super convenient. I recently brought in more than 10 garments (dresses, sweaters, skirts and jeans). Mix of complex and simple alterations. It's incredible that they are able to handle everything with ease. I also needed some outfits rushed for an event and the team was able to accommodate my short window. Within just 3 days I got an email that everything was ready for pickup--and the tailoring was flawless! I was told they were on the last delivery truck and would arrive by the end of the day. I was assured I would receive a call when they arrived. That call never came. I returned after the store's closing time and was told again that the clothes had not arrived and were still on the delivery truck. I was promised another call once they did arrive. This time, I received a call, but it was to inform me that the clothes were not on the delivery truck and would not arrive until Monday. The only explanation I was given was, "I'm not sure what happened." This was completely unacceptable given the circumstances. I had to scramble to purchase new clothes for the funeral, adding unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. I was told I would be notified when the clothes were ready on Monday. (Not that it mattered - I was already out of state.) Unsurprisingly, I did not receive a call. Adding insult to injury, I was not offered any discount or compensation for this ordeal. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
