Originally, I read reviews about Ciao Bella and was going to head there, until I saw that this place had the same owners and it was closer to me. Therefore, I decided to give this new salon a try. Customer Service was amazing! The ladies were friendly, greeted me right when I walked in. Rachael was my stylist and she made sure I walked out happy! I went in for a haircut and blow dry, and walked out with that and my hair colored lol. Luckily, she wasn't booked for that day and I was indecisive about what I wanted to do to my hair. She gave me her opinions, we talked about it, looked at a few pictures and began creating miracles. It's been a while since I've found a good stylist that I wouldn't mind going back to. She made sure I was happy. Price: This isn't your usual "Great Clips" or "Hair Cuttery" place, a cut and blow dry for women is $40, but you get what you pay for. You walk out happy, receive great customer service from the ladies who enjoy what they do. Cleanliness: The overall look of the shop is beautiful! I love the decor, I love the color scheme, and the shop is clean. There isn't old hair laying around from the previous customer, the glass is wiped clean, I even saw one of the ladies grabbing a vacuum for what little they have to vacuum. Overall, everything was up to my expectation, the waiting room area to the restroom, everything was well kept. This place is a must try! Call ahead to see what specials they may have going on! I've been going to Storm for a few months now. She's amazing - she's great at her job and gives you exactly what you're looking for, and she's also super personable! Although I don't go to the other girls, their clients seem to be super happy and all of the girls there are so nice! The environment is so nice and friendly and i recommend to everyone.. I hadn't gotten my hair cut in YEARSS before I came to Storm and she made me wish I'd gotten my hair professionally cut/colored for forever! A couple days ago I went in for a hair cut and agreed to layers. This was my first haircut in a very long time and I was really excited. After my appointment, when I had the chance to really look at my hair at home, I just about cried. The layers were not blended at all. The front half of my hair is so much shorter than the back, with no blend. While my hair was being chopped, I was turned away from the mirror the entire time so couldn't see what she was doing. My hair dresser was truly kind and nice and I didn't have the heart to tell her that I did not like the cut. Unfortunately, I don't see how my hair can be fixed without getting it cut even shorter which I am unable to do. I will be getting it fixed by a different hair dresser once it is long enough. My hair will not be worn down until this is corrected. I have been to Stiletto Hair Studio in the past and had it done by someone else. I was incredibly happy with how my hair turned out then. This is extremely unfortunate and I wish it didn't turn out this way but I am truly sad that I paid so much money for a cut that looks like this. read more

I got a full coverage balayage and deep conditioning treatment I was very nervous at first we cut off 4 inches and still got a lighter color while keeping the integrity of my hair it feel so soft and healthy I love it so much Storm was my stylist highly recommend!!! Had a great haircut with Raven! Hadn't had a haircut in over a year and she gave me the best refresh and blowout!

I hate having to leave a bad review, but this was the worst blowout I have ever received in my life. The lady who did it was nice, but she overcharged me for what she did. I went to the solan for a reason. They normally do a really good job, but this was awful. I could've done it myself, which I did when I got home, and it looks much better now. If your customer looks worse walking out than they did coming in there's no way you should be charging them anywhere close to 100 dollars. read more

Came here for a last minute hair cut and made an appointment for the same day through their website without issues. Their staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I came for a trim to rid my hair of all deadness. Lol. No wash or styling came to be $35 which I think is pretty reasonable for a woman's haircut. I part my hair in different ways but my hair stylist knew exactly how to accommodate for that in order to properly frame my face. Overall loved my haircut and my experience here. I don't do bad reviews ever because I know people have their days but I've been coming to this salon sporadically for years and have had great experiences until my last two visits. I was excited to be squeezed into an appointment for a full balayage, root smudge, and a cut only to leave wishing I didn't. Samantha was my stylist, she was super nice, seemed to listen to the vision in place with my hair, but was very vocal on how new she was. Once the session was done I was excited to go about my day but noticed something looked off with my hair whenever I caught it in the light or turned. My husband kept telling me it looked like I had a spot in my hair so when I got to good lighting I noticed my roots were horrendously chunky and the blonde was hard lined. I called next day and spoke with the front desk about the mishap and if I can come in to get it fixed which I was placed on hold for a long while to wait for Samantha to come to the phone. Sydney, the manager, called me back to book a fix and admitted that she spoke with Samantha and that she just forgot to do a root smudge and that I can come in to get that fixed. I came in for my hair fix and was informed I was going to need to spend $40 for the root smudge because I never paid for it last time even though I had paid what I was quoted for the service upon booking. I should've left right then and there and asked for my money back but I was traveling for an event this weekend and needed my hair fixed. Samantha didn't hold back from informing me that the office had asked her if she had done these services before and she said no but they just verbally told her how, the day before this visit was her first day ever doing a root smudge and that she had spent 5 hours with the client because she had messed it up originally, proceeded to complain that the woman never even tipped her, and followed it with "but I think she was Mexican and I don't think they tip like that in Mexico". I was honestly just shocked. How are you going to admit you are bad at your job, have unrealistic expectations to be tipped, AND be racist. It felt so out of left field and she just talked to me as if I should understand what that is like. After the "fix" I went home to STILL find uneven tones/chunks in my hair and honestly just cried. I'm not understanding how this was just unnoticed 2x when the stylist is standing over my head and then to also charge me for a fix and make it sound like it was my fault overall because "I didn't add it" to my previous visit when it was requested twice. No. Unfortunately, I had to drive out to Chicago for a big family event and have a session booked out here to fix my hair before the event but now I will have paid 2x the money just to potentially go back to the brown hair I had before. I gave two stars because I've been coming here for so long. They've had amazing stylists in the past but this experience really just has me looking for a new salon in the area for the future. read more

Unfortunately my friend and I received the most horrific blowout by the woman with purple hair and purple eyeshadow. We asked for a voluminous, bouncy, 90's blowout, but It was more of a frizzy, flat blow dry that I ended up having to fix myself when I got home. I would've just done it myself instead of paying $40 to get my hair messed up. While styling our hair, she pulled out to the sides rather than straight up and so our roots were just puffy and the rest was flat. No rollers were used either, so halfway through I just accepted that it was gonna turn out bad. My friend and I were going on a birthday trip and excited for weeks to get our hair styled and were looking for highly rated salons, but we were very much let down. I'm not sure if she was a stylist or just a receptionist but I don't think anyone should do hair if a simple blowout can't be done. read more

I have been coming here for several years now to see Sydney, who is a knowledgeable, talented, and personable stylist/hair artist. She truly takes time to understand her clients' goals, presents options accordingly, discusses the process and provides excellent education about hair care and styling. She took me from years of at-home jet black box dye to a beautiful multi-dimensional garnet red and introduced me to Bellami sew-in extensions, which I will never go without but, if I did, the actual health of my natural hair and length has improved dramatically - the extensions have not damaged my hair at all! The stylists and administrative staff are welcoming and professional, and I have an excellent experience each time. It was well time spent and I enjoyed my afternoon. I'm a senior lady and she fixed my hair, cut it, re-colored it and took the brassy old blonde out. Cut it short and made it a nice light violet. Gave my old white grey hair a real lift. It was well worth every penny I spent!! I can't wait to go back again. I was really scared to get my hair cut because I've had people mess up my hair in the past but she did not disappoint! Went in asking for a full icy blonde highlight on my already blonde (with strawberry blonde) roots. The stylist was sweet and seemed to understand but after 4 hours i realized my roots were brown.. Nowhere in the process did she mention the word brown. I am very upset. Seems like she heard what i wanted and went ahead and did what she wanted, which was to make my hair dirty blonde with brown roots when I requested ice blonde. I'm really torn over this review, I was happy with my hair, but absolutely cannot wrap my head about how much it cost. I was charged $270 for a color, partial highlight, and hair cut for above shoulder length hair. Not to mention I was at the salon for SEVEN hours getting this done. Again, happy with my hair, but I didn't receive anything special and wasn't blown away by the results. I called the salon back after coming to terms with the price tag and was blown off and told "well that's our pricing". For a breakdown of charges: I was charged $90 for the color, $110 for partial highlights, $35 for a toner, and $35 for the haircut. I will not be back and it's made me never want to go to a salon ever again. There's no reason it should have cost this much. And I've had the same color for years now and it's never cost over $200, let alone $270 before tip. read more
