When I was checking out, I got it again from someone else - this time I had to say no multiple times in multiple ways. I don't want to go to an esthetic visit to get a sales pitch. Ever. They have a front lobby area where they greet you a secure door to buzz you in from the street makes you feel safe and they bring you back to a lounge area before you are seen. It was really cool to see that. They do have a like a monthly plan that you can choose from having a facial to having your eyebrows tinted and laminated to also having a lash lift. I'm pretty interested in that haven't gone through with it yet because been having some health issues but I'm hoping that in a few months I can start being a regular here.

The feeling here is such high class and really feels like a nice & serene spa. I love shopping in the front/reception area (their cards are hilarious!) and waiting in the waiting room is so luxurious. The chairs are so cozy and the beautiful decor is always fun! I've seen a couple waxers who no longer work here (due to moving or raising a baby- hope you two girls are doing great, if you ever see this!), and I now see Starla. She's so efficient & does a beautiful Brazilian to the forestry that I grow. She has such great conversation and I thoroughly enjoy seeing her every so often! I also get my upper legs waxed every so often, and she does a great job on those, too! A total comfort to be on her waxing table (I mean, the wax sometimes hurts, since I'm not consistent, but I never shave, so you know that helps). If you're looking for a place to feel comfortable & handle the fuzz/forest, look no further than this fine woman-owned & operated small/local business.

They are super quick, and from what I've heard, all their waxes are done similarly, so you can't go wrong with having anyone wax you here. I've personally only been to Aaliyah, but it was the fastest Brazilian I've ever had, and done in 12 minutes. Unlike my previous waxing establishment, you immediately strip down to whatever you need to expose right away in the room (Aaliyah turned around for this part to prepare for my wax), and then lay right on the table. I got my Brazilian done and then I got dressed and went out to pay. She cleaned off the table for her next client as I was getting dressed. She immediately took the next client. It was a quick & smooth process- I was amazed at how it was done so quickly & efficiently. They have so many specials (for example- I got the June Brazilian special for $45!!! That's $20 less than my previous spot). I will definitely return. It's a nicely decorated spot, but no extra frills- get what needs to get done and you're out within a good time frame.

After I was done, the receptionist helped me book my next few appointments and they sent me home with some goodies and chocolate. I wasn't in search of a new hairstylist, as I love the one that I have gone to in the past…read more However, my go-to hairstylist is located in Wburg, so it takes a lot more coordination to make the trek to the other side of the water. My hair was so long and I was beyond annoyed with the length and definitely was in search of a new haircut. I asked my sister-in-law who she and my niece went to, and she referred me to Kayla at Sleek Salon & Spa. I submitted my inquiry on their website that night and that's where all the magic began. The inquiry was late, but I got a call from the salon mid-morning the very next day. The person who called me was so nice and answered my preliminary questions. It turned out that Kayla had availability that same day, so I jumped at the chance. - Kayla - My sister-in-law raved about her, so I was expecting no less. Kayla was super friendly when we met and asked what I had in mind. I also asked her the same out of curiosity lol... "as a hairstylist, what are you dying to do to my hair right now?" We came to an agreement (I wasn't feeling drastic this go around), but she did want to bring my hair back to a more healthy look. What I got: a haircut. She actually cut it twice, because the first time, she cut a few inches off, but I was being a little more daring and decided to cut another few inches off. I had so much hair! Due to my Asian heritage and the way Asian hair tends to behave, she suggested and asked that she reverse the process and cut my hair while it was dry, then wash and them blow dry. That was a great suggestion, because there weren't any surprises and it shows that she knows what she is doing! Result: The proof is in the pictures. I'll leave it at that. I must have lost a good 2 lbs just from the cut. It. feels. so. good. I ended up getting the leave-in conditioner that she used on my hair which was $47. A little steep, but it'll probably last me awhile. Things to note: - AVEDA products for sale only, unless AVEDA does not make a certain product. They have a mix of CBD products. - They are open late for working customers which I thought was very nice. I got an appointment at 7pm. - Stylist price varies according to education and experience. Kayla's haircut starts at $60 depending on texture and length, but my hair is in the middle, not thin and not that thick. I was charged $60, which I was so happy about because have you called around for haircuts these days? Kayla can take my money! - you can get $25 credit for referring new customers! The salon was pretty spacious too, and clean. Just a nice vibe. They don't play super loud music and play the chill vibe tunes, staying true to the word "spa" in their name. It's right next to Momo's Kitchen. They seem to cater to all ages too, because there were kids next to me getting their hair done also. Highly recommend, and enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!

There were only 3 techs working when I went in, and even though it was quiet, each tech was with someone and it seemed like a solid team and work environment. My tech, maybe his name is Ky?, he was amazing. Super fun to talk to and easy going, I'm not rlly one to talk but he was asking all the questions and being funny and making me feel right at home. I had a really good experience, plus my nails turned out freaking bomb It was my first gel-x set because I was tired of how thick acrylic sets can be and how the color on them often chips/scratches off.
