If you are looking for a secret place with great food that isn't a chain, then Stevo's is the place for you. All the locals know it, but someone visiting or passing through wouldn't. They have a great burger called the Caesar burger that is phenomenal. Their fish and chips and tartar sauce is also a top choice when I go. If you do end up going here make sure you get steak fries instead of regular fries and pay attention to the fry sauces...they have two...one hot and one normal :) Get the normal! read more

On the reviews of other Yelpers we decided to have lunch here. I asked a couple how the is and they said it was their favorite burger place. The burger and fries were very good. I got a mound of fresh crispy fries-actually way too much for me-but I couldn't stop because of the dipping sauce. To top it off the couple who I had talked to paid for our lunch. I tried this place hearing that it was excellent. The service was good and the prices were fair. It was a Friday night and the place was packed so I figured it was the place to be. It was not. I ordered steak fries which varied in thickness from a potato chip to a potato wedge. So some were cooked to a crisp and some were barely done. I am glad I didn't get the regular fries as my wife's had no brown color, were limp, and looked and tasted like the were "fried" in a microwave. All four of us ordered burgers and every single one was overdone and dry to the point it was barely edible. Thank you for free refills Stevo's! I would have rather had Burger King. Reading other reviews I know these guys put out good food sometimes, but I won't be back to find out. read more

Such an amazing local spot to try! I loved my experience with my server Rocio (I think). I wanted a steak "girl style" meaning low carb and smaller portions. She suggested the steak sandwich with out the bread, condiments on the side, side salad and of course an order of both type of fries(not low carb but totally worth it ). We were in town for a funeral and this place was recommended by the hotel staff. Although the place was completely full when we got there, a table soon opened up and we were served by friendly and helpful staff. I had lamb chops, which were tender and tasty. My father had a Rib-Eye steak and although it tasted good, it was tough. My mother had the shrimp and she said they were excellent. They have a special salad dressing that I loved and a special spicy fry sauce that was also very toothsome. Overall, despite the tough steak, we really enjoyed the food and the restaurant. We liked it so much that we went back the next day for lunch. Dad and I had burgers with fries and mom had the Linguine Alfredo. Although the fries were good they were greasy. I would definitely recommend the place and would have awarded five stars except for the tough steak and the greasy fries. read more

Stopped in on our way to Salt Lake after viewing good reviews on Yelp. Food was excellent, burgers and fries, but so much better than the typical fast food. The steak fries were really amazing, a must. If you are driving through Burley/Heyburn, ID on I-84, it's well worth stopping and trying. read more

Took a bit too get sat, but it was worth the wait. Burgers were great. My mom loved the streak fries and they have bottles of fry sauce.

The service was fantastic and sitting outside under the potato sacks was very cool.......but the food could use a little work. I had the trout and it was very dry. I smothered it with sauce and pretended I liked it. My granddaughter had butter pasta but there was so much water at the bottom of the bowl that she could eat the last part of her dinner. My husband had a burger that was very overcooked and chewy. But, the fries were the hit of the dinner. Between the three of us we ate every single potato on the plate. I don't know. Best fries and baked potatoes anywhere. As far as steaks and burgers if you want them juicy you need to order them medium at most. And ask that they don't cut into your steak to check the doneness. If you do that you love this place. It is a straight up south Idaho joint, meat and potatoes, and south Idaho trout. You can get jalapeños on your burger bake potato or your fries. Food was great, but the cooks in back (I could see them) were stuffing their faces with food. Also, the Hispanic waitresses were speakung Spanish making fun of the customers (I am fluent in Spanish). Very unsanitary and unprofessional. I've been at stevos many times, but my most recent experience was horrible. read more

I was very disappointed with my visit today at Stevo's around 11:40. I called ahead and when I arrived my order was still not ready. The waitress was very unprofessional. I was asked how everything was tasting, and before I could answer she said "nevermind" and walked away with a not so polite look on her face. I was treated very poorly along with my companions. It's easy to tell when a worker treats a customer different from another, I think we should all get the same respect. This place is good. My usual go to is the chicken spud. Last night I was in the mood for steak, so I tried the 14oz ribeye. While tasty I think I netted about 7oz of actual steak the rest being fat. The potato was delicious and so was the salad. I think next time I'll have the spud. read more

Ate here a few months ago. Friday night about 8 pm. Had to stand in line for 30 minutes. I heard it was popular but I think the wait is due to not enough servers and bus people. A bunch of tables came open right before we arrived and it took them 15-20 minutes to get them cleaned. The food was very good though. Not sure if it was worth the wait but good. read more

Driving through Idaho in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Where can we eat fresh food for lunch? Thank you Yelpers for showing us STEVOS! My salad was indeed fresh and topped with freshly made dressing. The hand cut fries are out of this world and can perhaps only be made in Idaho. My husband had the lamb burger, my daughters ordered the fettuccine and BLT sandwich. ALL made to order, delivered promptly with a smile, and utterly enjoyed. On the way out we took two cupcakes to go: lemon and strawberry. The perfect ending to a perfect restaurant tucked away in Burley, ID. We will be back! read more

I hadn't been to Stevo's in awhile and made a special trip over there while visiting the area. I was looking forward to their finger steaks, but couldn't see them on the menu. When we asked if they still had them the waitress replied rudely, "No, they are not in the menu that means we don't have them." While it doesn't look like much from the outside, this is a must try in the Burley/Heyburn area. Keep it simple -- burger and fries. The burger is so fresh, you'll swear it had a name and wore a bell just a few hours before. The steak fries (potatoes... Idaho... hello?) are seasoned just right and are cut like au gratin potatoes, thin and round. Also, you can try the trout -- it's a local favorite and a local catch. Tried Stevo's after hearing great reviews. It was awesome and did not disappoint! We went on a Saturday night and we were delighted to have live music all night. Staff said they have live music Friday and Saturday nights. We had the burgers and chicken Alfredo, both were excellent. The regular and steak fries were awesome with their sauce. Very friendly and prompt service and great atmosphere on the patio with the music. We could have stayed all night. Had to go to the counter to pay, but they had a large jar of melt-away mints so you can grab a scoop of those. We will definitely return on a weekend. read more
