Not at all Impressed, ordered dinner for myself and my mom, got the Rib eye dinner and Coconut shrimp dinner, the shrimp was good, but that's it ! The steak was hmmm ( I've had better at Denny's ) and the potato was tiny, cold and dry as Hell, the fries were terrible, cold, limp, no flavor, greasy.. and the salad well you can't really mess up lettuce so. Fantastic food, always has been. It's a gorgeous environment inside and out. My favorite food item is the Alfredo. They have a somewhat small wine selection but one of the only places in the area with wine. The service is awful and they've had the same servers for years. Servers act like they couldn't care less. The Burley/Heyburn area doesn't offer much outside of a few good Mexican places and some traditional "American" food. That said, Stevo's probably has the best American food around. While the burgers and fries are as good as any other place within 30 miles, the menu offers a little more variety than most of the American restaurants in the area. While it's still not a huge and vastly diverse menu, Stevo's can serve up a good dinner whether you're wanting a sandwich, pasta, or something else entirely. read more

I love this little spot and they have done pretty well for themselves as a business in general for being in a such a rural area. They are fairly pricey. I paid $18 for about 5 pieces of jumbo shrimp and a side of steak fries which are hand cut and sooooo amazingly delicious. They have a beautiful outdoor patio area. I love the rustic feel of the potato sacks that are hung above you for shade provide. It is conveniently located fairly close to the 208 exit in Burley. If this location is open while you are passing by I would highly recommend to stop by and grab something to eat rather than heading to Burger King or McDonald's welll...unless your rolling on a budget. read more

Ghastly.... Simply ghastly. A horrifically overcooked sliver of meat... Dust has more residual moisture than the burger did, accompanied by a heap of "steak fries" that are more improperly cut kettle chips that were ironically underdone, then inundated with enough sodium laced seasoning to send the entire Mountain Time Zone into a hypertensive pre-stroke delirium. We stopped by this place on our way home to Denver. For being such a small town, I was surprised at some of the prices on the menu (the cheapest burger was $9 and some of the baked potatoes were fairing over $15). We stopped just after the lunch rush around 2pm, which seemed to be the time when the entire restaurant staff was taking a break. Because of this, service was extremely S-L-O-W. I split one of their burgers and their chicken and cheese baked potato with my partner. I will admit that although the food was pretty tasty. The steak fries that came with my burger were also pretty rockin', especially with the two different kinds of fry sauce that came with it. My only gripe is that when you are in a hurry to pass through this small town and get back on the road, it can be extremely aggravating when you are trying to get the bill for your meal. All-in-all, Stevo's did not turn into one of those horrible roadside stops you sometimes hear about and my GI tract was positively thankful. If this small-town joint happens to be in your travels when you or your travel companions have a hankering for some sustenance on the open road, I would definitely stop. read more

My in laws recently moved out to Rupert. After a night with them we wanted to grab a bite to eat before we headed back home to Buhl. Steveos was highly rated, and I didnt really pay attention to the bad reviews since the good ones made Steveos seem like the best burgers around. My god was I mistaken. We get there and the place is packed, good sign! The waitress was beyond rude, dont even know why she is there if she hates her job that much. Oh well, hard to get great service and great food right? Too bad the food was as bad as our waitress. $10 burger and fries. I think they gave me a hockey puck and some fried shoelaces. The burger was so dry the bun was more moist than it. So overcooked the inside of the burger was a beautiful grey. Potatoes so overcooked it felt like chewing on twigs. Absolutely no flavor in the burger, even when you get it the first thing that runs through your mind isnt "this looks great!" Its more like " I paid ten bucks for this?!" Do the owners realize that burgers can be cooked medium and nice and juicy? Do they think by turning it into charcoal it adds flavor? I dunno, but very disappointing. The steak fries were thick cut fresh Idaho potatoes. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad had crisp greens and firm tomatoes with homemade ranch. The fish was just ok. Cod with all the same shapes but cooked to a light flaky consistency. Would definitely come back. read more

Would only recommend this place if you have 2 hours to kill. Once we were sat, it took over 30 minutes for someone to check on us and it wasn't even our waitress. It then took 45 minutes to get our food. While the food was decent, it was not worth the wait. One refill right before we finished our meals. The reason for the four stars is because of the atmosphere, it is loud most days and is rarely a good place to bring children due to this fact. We are traveling and vegan so sometimes that can be a challenge when eating out. They have an amazing garden burger that my husband had that was delicious. I had the garden spud and it was so good. The last time I ate at Stevo's was in June. I had the giant baked potato with steak and cheese. It was delicious! I've also had the trout in the past, which was great. I enjoy their french fries, and if you ask they will fry them twice. That makes them extra crispy! I noticed a few bad reviews given in the last few weeks. Is it possible they got a new cook? As for the service, I don't recall the waitress being rude, but I don't expect to be treated like royalty. I just want to eat. read more

My husband and I probably eat here about once every 2 weeks and it's never the worst. We have great experience as far as what we order. It's getting it and ordering is the problem. I love the food. I will pay the extra charge they have for take out. The reason why is because the service they provide is usually a hit and miss. I don't mean to say horrible things but the Staff speaks in their language if you know what I mean. And speaks it loudly throughout the kitchen so you can hear it in the dining area. As well as they seem very arrogant. I know sometimes you don't have the best of days, but keep it professional and leave your emotions at the door. And I understand when it's busy it's hard to keep everyone pleased.. But this place is always busy.. You'd think that they would have more than 2-3 servers a night. Especially on a Friday or Saturday. All in all.. Great GREAT food. But the customer experience as far as service is very much lacking. read more

The family went from potato growers to restauranteurs who converted their crop into something pretty special! The steak fries were the best ever. Good food, bad price. I enjoy this place, they are very good but not great, however, be ready to spend. I would avoid most of the burgers as they tend to cook them into hockey pucks. The steak sandwich is great and about the only thing priced decent. The fries are great and a half and half basket is certainly the way to go. The spicy fry sauce is good but the house salad dressing is definitely not something I think I'll try again. It's unfortunate the dressing is gross because it's the only one they offer. The creative use of potatoes is a nice upgrade to what is otherwise a lazy side dish. The steak potato is great. One surprise for the area is the vege burger, not bad at all. The secret Stevo's hot dipping sauce has plenty of heat, but a side of grilled jalapeño added more zip. My lamb burger was perfectly cooked. Service fast and friendly, Lunch time is busy with locals that know where to be. Outdoor patio is gorgeous. About 1/4 mile off I-84 on north side of freeway. This place is so overrated. Was in the area for work, and this place was highly recommended by the locals. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing -- fish and chips, but both were very disappointing. The fish was dry with the batter being unusually thick and hardened, which makes me wonder if it was refried for reheating, a common thing fast food places do with french fries. As for the fries, I requested the steak fries, only to be served some wide but thin potato, barely thicker than potato chips. To make it worse, the fries were over cooked, some even burnt, and excessively coated with season salt. The atmosphere seemed cool and the service was fine. read more

On the way home today decided to look for a small burger dive. And I definitely found one... And no I don't drive a red Camaro and have spiky blond hair. If you understand the reference.
