Steve's tree service came to cut down 3 cottonwood trees about 100 years old. Wow, what a job they did. Before even starting on trees had to remove and replace a 15ft carport in order to get equipment in. They left this place exactly how they found it minus 3 massive trees. I have NOT actually had service but will in the future based on my observation. This week the crew removed several huge cedar or redwood trees on Azalea Street in Ripon. This crew was a well oiled efficient machine. They kept chainsaw , chipper noise to a minimum and worked hard each day. The cleanup each afternoon was very through. Set up a time for Steve to come by and give an estimate for today between 8-10am. Steve called my phone around 9:30am and it didn't notify me until after he had left a voicemail. I immediately tried to call him back and no answer and left a voicemail. He called me back at almost 11 and made the excuse of well I tried to call you and my phone was in the truck when you called me because he's on a job that's in a city over 30 minutes away which means he would have showed up after 10am even if I did answer....not a good way to get a persons business and definitely not mine. read more

I didn't even higher this company. I let them in my backyard to make it safer and easier for them to cut down my neighbor's tree. They moved all of my yard furniture they removed some yard art and bamboo lattice that I had on my back fence. After telling me they would replace it. Removed the tree did a fairly decent clean up did not put anything back nor replace the bamboo lattice like they said they would. I have contacted them 4 times now and the owner of the company keeps telling me that he'll bring it out he'll bring it out he'll go purchase it and have his son drop it off never to receive it. At the most recent time contacting them and I have not heard back from them at all. I called and played a little game called phone tag. When we did connect on phone, we Are appt for Steve to come give an estimate for removing a tree. No show. Then when I called he said he thought it was for later but running behind and would like to reschedule for next day. Well I called him in the late afternoon and made sure I wasn't going to be waiting around a 2nd day for him and again NO SHOW! So be warned. I wouldn't hire someone even if he is good at what he does, cheaper than others, or is a good talker. Be warned! read more
