Trans was slipping a bit after driving 1/2 hour but operable so left my car , but was stalled and lied about "test drive" and "going to fix it tomorrow" Was back and forth 4 times , ..and after over a week was finally told it was fixed, ...drove one block and warning light about defective transmission came on . Then lied and actually laughed at when complained , and stalled three more days with bring it back , "going to fix it tomorrow ", before l left in anger with car , and called credit card company and successfully got a full refund since I had their BS lies by text on my phone. read more

Our car was towed to Steve's Transmission for a transmission problem. We waited 3 days for our car to be repaired, as he said it would be completed. We were informed that someone else was performing the repair and we would get notified when it was fixed? After spending $1400 on a" fixed budget", as a SENIOR citizen, the car broke down and left me stranded in the rain, 1 week after it was dropped off. The car was returned to Steve's Transmission, (had to be towed), 2 more times. Steve is NOT an honest person, nor a good business man. He was blaming other issues with the car, even though the car was bucking back and forth. There was a huge amount of transmission oil under the car. After 3 strikes, we had to have the car towed to the dealership. The dealership confirmed the transmission is bad....Steve gave a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty and won't stand behind. The car has less than 250 miles since the repair. It has not been able to drive and Steve won't take any responsibility. All he says there are engine codes.... It should be noted that the car is owned by an 86 yr old women senior citizen and was taken advantage of! I wish I could give him a ZERO stars, because he does not deserve any stars! Next day my husband called me to pick our son and take him to school because the truck broke down and they were stranded on the side of the road. I was referred by my mechanic for transmission problem took my vehicle they kept it for 2 weeks I call after they told me the job would be done in about 3 to 5 days we kept calling until they said ok it,s ready paid 1800.00 for the job. I drove vehicle for 2 weeks it had the same issue took it back to mechanic checked out the same problem plus it's leaking oil and missing parts in transmission took it back to Steve transmission on Hallandale Bach Blvd . This time they only change the timing belt and kept vehicle 2 more weeks had to call after 6 days the owner Steve, is an animal he was raised with wolves and pigs and wild animals each time I call he said hold on and then hung up the phone I call once 30 times and he never answered. Garbage. Straight up scum bags. Don't do business with Steve or his son. Had my transmission fixed here and they screwed me over in the biggest way. Steve said he "lost my number" so he couldn't call me when the truck was finished, adding $1500 of holding fees to the total cost. Also my drive shaft was in perfect condition when I arrived, and when I got the truck back, it was hanging on the ground, adding another $500 to my bill. I also had multiple items stolen out of the truck including an antenna and a very meaningful knife that my now passed grandfather gave to me. Terrible customer service. I've been back three times within two weeks of getting a rebuilt 4l60e frame these clowns and each time I have a new issue. Bring it back for one thing, leave with something else wrong. Employees like to holler at the customers' wives while they "work". Every time I call I get a "hang on" then get hung up on. The owner seems to find it funny that he has two guys sleeping and one guy dancing, so funny that he sends me videos like I'm going to find it funny too. I owned a 2007 acura tl they fixed my transmission fast I never had no problems with it the second time I went to them with a 2016 ford focus which had a no reverse issue due to a bad tcm they went ahead and did clutch and forks on the car charged me $1900 and told me to get my own tcm when Steve already know that part is on national back order the car still doesn't reverse and he wants me to pay $1900 I refused to pay the bill cause my car wasn't fixed and hired a lawyer by then he already towed my car away from the shop when my lawyer filed a Civil theft against him he released my car on the side of the road with several major mechanical parts missing from the car I seen my starter in the passenger seat bolts loose everywhere the engine was not mounted in properly he even went as far as unplugging my tracking device keep in mind I drove this car to the shop this place is either hit or miss what Steve should've done was properly diagnosed my car he would've found that my issue is related to a part that's on national back order and told me he can't fixed the car instead he assumed it was the clutch and fork when he realized he made a mistake he had already invested money in parts and labor to the car instead of owning up to his mistake he went ahead and charged me a $1900 repair that has nothing to do with my issue I have pictures and a lot of videos catching Steve red handed you could've at least give me back my car in running condition like I drove it to you he left in abandoned on the side of the street with the keys in there read more

Parts were left out and some put in backwards the company doing it this time said they couldn't believe it stayed together this long. Saturday March 26 th 2016 at 7:30 am I took my car to Steve's transmission in West Park Florida the manager Santos said to be there early that it would take 45 minutes to complete the job since he knew exacting what was wrong since on Friday he used his computers to find the problem. He insisted that he knew what the problem was. We agreed that I would buy the parts from the dealer on Friday assuring that I would get the right parts rather than aftermarket parts since that's what they would normally use. He agreed that if he was wrong I would not have to pay for his labor, he assured me several times that I would not have to pay if he did not fix the problem. He was that sure since he stated he has years of experience. Upon completion he realized that it was not working and informed me that he had a friend mechanic that would be there in 20 minutes to fix the problem since the cars computer needed to be reset. I suggested that we drive to his shop to speed up the process, he repeated that his friend was on his way. Minutes later the owner Steve comes out of his hideaway office and has one of the employees raise my car on the lift so I would not have access to the car. The employee started dancing around in a stupor yelling that I was not getting my car until I paid cash and that I need to go to the ATM machine to get cash or he was putting a mechanics lien on my Mercedes. They tried on several occasion to make me leave my car, on Friday, and then on Saturday, and then wanting me to walk to some ATM knowing I had no ride. For some reason they were trying to separate me from my car possibly to ransack it. Luckily to their disappointment I had the cash. I had to call the Sheriff to get my car back. When the Sheriff's arrived the owner and the employee started mouthing off to the sheriff's and getting in the officers face demanding that he gets off his property. The officer was polite and refrained himself from arresting both of them due to the ignorant and arrogance of Steve and his employee. Hi there, I took my car to this shop (Steve's transmission) and had bad experience, the trany didn't came out right (making noise) and the owner (Steve) always blaming mecanic issues with the car, so I fixed EVERYTHING on the car and still making noise I ain't going back (even I have warranty for 12 months) this person NEVER comes out of he's office to talk with you after you pay him (ALWAYS he's employee come to talk but NEVER the owner) VERY SHADY BUSINESS. DO NOT GO TO STEVEN'S!!! the worst service EVER. Took my van in because the transmission was slipping. That was on a Friday. They said I could have it back Monday morning. 4 business days later they had to order a part. Could be another day or two. I p/u my van Friday at close of business hours. There was a part missing and when I realized what part was missing they denied removing it. I know the part was there when I dropped off the van so it was my word against theirs. My son had the same problem with his car. It is worth the extra money to take your vehicle somewhere else. All bad reviews can't be wrong! read more

Steve takes your money bottom line. He doesn't honor the one year warranty. I had my transmission done at his shop March 2017. He held my car for over a week. He told me he needed to get a part from Ford. I went to Pines Ford where he said he bought the part which he lied to me. He closed his account with Pines Ford two years ago. Pines Ford has no record of him purchasing any part for my car. They looked it up by my vin number. When i went to his shop yesterday he told me he was too busy to see me. When i first pulled up into the parking lot, the tech said leave it. I said your not going to drive it to see what is wrong. I had to call Steve who was hiding in his office to get the tech to drive the car. The tech said take it to Ford. When i spoke with the service advisors at Ford. I realize Steve was lying to me. He tells you he knows everything and all the other mechanics are stupid including Ford. He's very rude to everyone. read more

I have had now 2 great experiences with Steves Transmissions. What I like most was that Steve on the firs car a I brought to him (96 maxima) He gave me a few options on the repair explained the advantages and draw backs of each option so I could make what decision was best for me. Also he advised me that the tranny would not shift properly if I did not take car of the driveability issue from my engines misfire situation. So after the tranny repair the car moved but still did not drive right as he said. I then took care of the need sensor and coil repair on the engine and now it runs and shifts great.
