I felt very comfortable and sure that I was getting top notch service. She walked me through the whole diagnostic from showing me the computer readings to allowing me to take photos of the vehicle while on the lift. All the staff was very educated and extremely polite. Overall great and honest establishment. I would highly recommend!!

My car was misfiring and my engine computer notifiers popped on (aka check engine light)…read more I was referred to the owner of SG by a coworker for some previous work. I called and got the ok to have it dropped off at the 988 garage. John was the "Service Professional" that would be doing this work. I called and he quoted me $80-100 to replace the coil and spark plug and an oil change. I thought it was a reasonable rate and I agreed. He said he would do that but no work could be done today bc he's been drinking. I said (my car was already there) "Next week is fine." He texted and Re-quoted me "$160. And there's an oil leak. Is that ok? It's too much work to fix the oil leak, I don't want to do it but will try to patch it Oil Change and replace coil. for $160". "Fine". Long story longer, he texted me Monday to let me know it's ready, I scheduled to pick it up within the hour. I was there in 30 minutes. He wasn't. I texted, I'm outside. Called, nothing. 15 minutes later I left. Three hours later he texted back. I'm on the other side. Annoyed. Finally, two days later, I get there, pay him, "Thank you!" he hands me my keys and goes inside. I start my car and it seemed to be misfiring same as when I dropped it off. Also the 60% oil light was illuminated but the engine light was not. It was at 60% when I dropped it off. So no oil change was done. My ride left and It seemed ok to drive so I left. At this point, I was spending a lot of money, the car was older and I was overdue for a new car. I needed to trade it in. It's fixed (I thought) bc the engine computer light was off. So when I took it to get assessed, the guy asked if I had work done recently. "Yes I just picked it up. I had the coil changed and an oil change, within the past two months the list goes on." He said "No, it needs to be changed, it's misfiring and my diagnostic machine showed that all was done was the computer was cleared out but it's showing other work that was done prior and the dates of everything." I contacted John and asked what I was charged for?? The coil was not replaced nor was the spark plugs and all he said was "Dealer games, they're lying". Um, yeah..What are the odds I can get my, *$160 in cash only with no receipt* back?

Very reasonable and only fixes what needs to be fixed. If he thinks you may not need something fixed or thinks, wait on it or a better way that will save you time and money he recommends it. He has done this several times. Telling me dont waste your time getting this done, or wait for this or that ( even if he could of made more money ), you dont need to do all of that now. Never had an issue. Very stand up mechanic and knows what hes doing. Highly Recommended.

I was concerned about my brakes so I brought it to the Lexus dealership in New Jersey before I left for my trip. The service representative said, I would be able to drive my vehicle to Florida and of course he quoted me a price, which was astronomical, even with my Veterans discount. As a woman, I always feel the dealerships tend to overcharge women, because they believe they can scare us. So pathetic! Anyway, in February I drove down to Florida for the SOBEFEST in Miami. The day after I arrived, my car was making noise and the first thing I thought about was my brakes. As I couldn't remember the repair shop I went to a few years ago, I went to Yelp and there it was, "Longlife Automotive!" I arrived in the morning and spoke to a gentleman named Mitch. He took my car to get it checked and when he came back, he said there was nothing wrong with my brakes and all I needed was an oil change. I was in shock!! In New Jersey they told me I needed new brakes and here all I needed was an oil change. Can you imagine how much money I saved? As I explained to Mitch that was even with a Veteran discount. Guess what, I showed Mitch my DD214, showing I served in the United States Army and he gave me a discount as well. One because the price is right and another is because my vehicle always seems to purr like a kitten afterward. I never have issues with my vehicle when he touches it if you know what I mean. From experience, some mechanics when they get to your vehicle you seem to always have issues. Those are the ones I tend to stay away from.
