Our van needed the transmission repaired and after calling several places in Miami, we came across a TV commercial for Gold Coast Transmissions. From the moment we called them, their professionalism was noticeable and their prices were fair. Hamilton treated our van and explained everything along the way so there wouldn't be any surprises. He even followed up with us after the work was done to make sure everything was OK. The van is running like new again and we couldn't be happier! I'd highly recommend Gold Coast if you're ever in need of a new transmission. read more

Had a burnt clutch on my Mustang, told them I wanted a Mcleod Clutch and they told me to order it. I did, dropped it off and they said they would take care of it. Got my car back and it ran like crap. Felt like a cable was slapping around, back up lights did not work (They did prior) and the clutch chattered a lot. They told me to let the clutch slip and it would wear down. Brought it to Bob's Automotive in Sunrise. They told me the transmission mount was ruptured, the transmission was only held in with three bolts, the throw out bearing was never changed and my clutch cable was extremely loose. The pressure plate was warped and the back up switch was damaged. Had to re-pay to have the transmission done again. Car runs great now. I also paid less for a new clutch and labor then Gold Coast charged me for just labor...so not a good experience. read more

12/1/2017 - It's been almost 9 months since Gold Coast Transmissions replaced my transmission and my car is running great. Two mechanics that have worked on my car ever since on other things and have mentioned the great work on my transmission. The service was great and professional, they kept their word on the timing my Jeep would be ready. Mike was the person I spoke to from beginning to end and it was a pleasure working with him. Highly recommend! read more

Recently had my transmission in my 2008 Tundra completely rebuilt at Gold Coast Transmission. Excellent service and great result. The manager Hamilton is top notch and he managed my expectations from the first day that I walked in there. The job was completed in the time frame promised and there were no surprises with the bill as it was exactly what he had quoted me before the start of the job. Highly recommend this business, you will not be disappointed. read more

My fiancé took his 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo in b/c there was a transmission leak. Mr.Hamilton quoted him a price but when he started to work on the car he realized the job would be a lot easier than he thought. He called my fiancé and told him the new price which was a lot lower - VERY HONEST. I called my fiancé thinking I had to pick him up but he told me Mr. Hamilton gave him a ride home so he wouldn't have to sit around the shop waiting. Mr. Hamilton is highly recommended! read more

Brought my 2003 Toyota Camry in for transmission service back in 2018. Hamilton serviced the car and everything works great. Today (3 1/2 years later, 2021) I noticed a slight surging in the car first thing in the morning, so I called to see if he could look at it. Sure enough he says bring it down. I arrive an hour later and he stops what he's doing in the shop and we take the car for a test ride, of course everything is fine now. But when we return to the shop he opens the hood and checks the fluid. Surprisingly it takes 3 quarts of transmission fluid to top it off. I ask "what do I owe you?" and he says it's on him. He says check it again in a day and if it's not full bring it back and he'll take care of it. This was a pleasant unexpected experience as today most mechanics seem to tag on any charge they can. I would expect to pay for the fluids but he declined. Definetly would recommend Gold Coast in Davie to anyone needing transmission service on their auto. Two thumbs up to Hamilton for great customer service and hospitality! read more

My Ford Explorer needed repair during a rough time in my life. The staff showed great empathy during my grieving period and was sensitive to the pricing of my vehicle. Mr. Castillo was able to diagnose the problem and even recommended their sister shop to follow to ensure the work was done properly. This review is long overdue but wanted to say their service is top notch and that we didn't forget about you Hamilton! See you in a year for my monthly check up! read more

I took my Toyota to Goldcoast because I was having problems with the transmission. From the moment I walked through the doors Mike assisted me like if I've been a customer for many years. Mike gave me the best customer service I've ever received from a repair shop. When they were done with my car it ran like new. I highly recommend this place for all your transmission problems. This review is to inform the public of this great gem of a business. I have never received such dependability, honesty, and respect from any mechanic, let alone one that specializes in transmissions. I brought my car in because I thought I heard a weird noise coming from a bearing in my transmission. Any business could've easily made upwards of 1000 dollars from my claim, but Hamilton worked diligently for 2 days to find anything wrong with my car, and noted that my car was in excellent shape. The service is friendly, you feel at home, and most importantly, you don't feel deceived. Everything gets explained to you in a way you can understand, questions get answered, and prices are very fair. I ended up asking for a transmission fluid change as preventative maintenance. I highly recommend this business and will continue to be a patron! read more

I just moved back to south Florida from Tampa. I was in the process of having my engine rebuilt on my 1980 Jeep CJ 7. I also had a new after market clutch master and slave cylinder installed. When the Jeep was "apparently" finished in Tampa I had it shipped to me here. When I got in the gears were grinding and the clutch pedal would only push in 1/2 way. I immediately drove it to Gold Coast because I remember their location from when I lived close by several years ago. Best decision I ever made. Hamilton and his shop guy (I'm sorry but I forget his name) pulled the clutch and transmission and immediately diagnosed this thing properly. I'm not going to go into what they found but they 100% diagnosed it properly. They also installed the highest quality parts and wouldn't settle for anything else. With that being said, several of the parts had to be ordered because of the age of the vehicle and took several days to come in. During these several days, they were very concerned with keeping my Jeep out of the weather as it had no top or doors. Rather than send me back home with the Jeep and tell me to bring it back when the parts are in, they kept it in one of their bays. Didn't even charge me storage fee. This also took up space which probably could have been used to repair other vehicles. The amount of time that Hamilton took to research this vehicle was unreal. Hamilton also called me numerous times to have me come back and see each issue that they encountered. Their honesty is untouched. Once the vehicle was finished, Hamilton took it for a road test and said everything was working perfectly. Although, I would have taken his word for it, he had me come back over and do a road test along with him and make sure I was satisfied before he would allow it to leave his shop. I couldn't have taken my Jeep to more honest and professional people. If you are looking to have any work done on your vehicle, do not look anywhere else. This place is top notch. I also needed exhaust work done and Hamilton referred me to a shop. That will be my next review. He didn't steer me wrong and even stopped by the muffler shop on his day off to make sure that I was taken care of. This was after a text to check up on how my Jeep was running. I could sit here and type for hours about this place. The experience was like no other that I have had at an auto repair shop. And with such an old vehicle there have been numerous experiences. You won't go wrong by using Gold Coast. They treat you with kid gloves. Their prices were great to but I wanted to put quality before price and ended up being satisfied with both. read more
