Fastest appt...two weeks. Two weeks, window open!? I took the door panel off, figured out the cheap cable system broke. Needs new regulator. Arrived today: After an hour, they tell me...it needs a window regulator - I told them that on the phone. Two days for part to arrive. Another reschedule. No loaners avail for a MONTH. This is when she started getting snarky...and yeah, she did. This would be funny if it wasn't true: I can buy the regulator on ebay for $200 and save myself a whole lotta snark from Mariah. She actually said: Do you want me to cancel the order? (after telling her I can get one on ebay). Yes, Mariah....cancel my order.

Someone was apparently coming to check it out and after telling them that I wanted the car before the other party arrived, the salesman Chris told me he'd try to see what he could do to tie it down. Really? I tell them I want the vehicle and that I could come get it within a matter of a couple of days and they sell it to somebody else? Lost my trust and faith in this particular dealership bigtime. There'd be no way I'd purchase a vehicle from them and suggest you be very careful trusting them.

I recently visited Fred Anderson Toyota of Greer while shopping for a used Prius and had a mixed…read moreexperience. The staff were polite and respectful, but there were several issues with transparency and communication that made the process frustrating. Initially, I was sent photos of a different (new) vehicle than the used one listed online, and I noticed the VINs didn't match. I pointed this out, but it wasn't corrected until I was already in talks about pricing. After negotiating what seemed to be a fair price, I began my more than 2-hour drive to the dealership. About 20 minutes into the drive, I was informed that the vehicle in question was not the Limited trim but an LE--explaining a $6,000 price difference. At that point, they offered to discount a new Limited model by a few thousand dollars, saying the price difference between it and the used one would be around $3,000. That sounded reasonable--until I arrived and saw that the discount hadn't really been applied in a meaningful way. I also inquired about the college graduate incentive, and again, the total financed amount remained unchanged. It felt like discounts were being mentioned but not truly reflected in the numbers. My final MSRP ended up being about $37,000 before trade-in and down payment--higher than expected based on our conversations. To add some irony, the dealership advertises a 3-day, 150-mile return policy, which barely covers my round trip to the dealership. It's a nice gesture, but not very practical for out-of-town buyers like me. I did end up getting the car I wanted--although it wasn't fully loaded--and I'm happy with it overall. Still, I wish the process had been more upfront and accurate from the start. If you're shopping here, I'd recommend double-checking all the details before making the drive

The experience we had at Toyota of Greer makes me never want to go back to a dealership again. The…read moresalesman was WAY too pushy, and would not accept no as an answer. We had been very clear in our intentions of our visit--to test drive a 4Runner so we could get the feel of how they drive. He then proceeded to run the numbers on the vehicle we test drove which we had told him several times we were not interested in purchasing. We did not feel heard whatsoever, and then he proceeded to come and knock on our car door once we had left the dealership to try to get us to come back inside and lease a 2026. We had been very blunt about our budget, and I wanted nothing more than to get out of there as quick as possible. I will NEVER be returning to Toyota of Greer, and I think the company needs to think about who they're actually hiring to represent them--very unimpressive.
