I've had good ones, bad ones, up to ones that were total nightmares, like showing up and having the dealership tell me, after a 30-minute delay, that the vehicle we had agreed that I was to test drive had been destroyed in a fire. Certainly a creative twist on the bait and switch sales tactic. That being said,. Let's talk about Spartanburg Honda. I don't think I've ever had a delightful car buying experience in my life (and I was born in the 1960s). That's exactly the kind of experience I had at Spartanburg Honda. A delightful one! I arrived at the appointed time and the vehicle that I wanted to test drive was ready to go. Tommy McGaha was my sales consultant. Things went smoothly from test drive, to negotiating, to writing up the contract. There were no high pressure sales tactics or tricks or traps In the process. They disclosed everything about the vehicle and gave me a copy of the Carfax report. They even let me take the (used) vehicle offsite to get a third-party inspection. (The Carfax report showed that the vehicle had been in a rear-end accident requiring it to be towed which is why I wanted the third-party inspection. The car checked out fine and the third-party inspection gave me peace of mind I needed to close the deal.) Thomas Hawkins then wrote up the loan and finalized the deal. He offered me optional protection packages that provided real value. Again, no BS, no phony dealer installed options or made up fees. Tommy and Thomas were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and kind. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would add that I got a fair price on a good vehicle, and they worked with me on my trade.

She (Stephanie) was extremely rude and condescending once pointed out what what was wrong. Even telling me what I saw with my own eyes wasnt true. She was also rude and condescending to other customers while I was in the store. I told the lady on the phone I wouldn't speak with her and if thats what they want to do then a lawyer would get involved. Not 5 min later the rude manager called and left a very condesending message for me. Looks like a lawyer will get involved. 1 for the issues with store and then the contiunued harrassment and bullying.

Something about going over the speed limit with a temporary plug in the tire will do it. Luckily, I had cell service and was able to locate and call Skinner Tire. The lady who answered the phone asked the tire size and was straight to the point at hand, right down to the pricing details. She said that her agent would arrive within 45 minutes and that he was, right on time. After the agent arrived, he removed the old tire and replaced it with a new one right there at the mobile setup. 30 minutes and almost $200 later, we were back on the road. I wasn't excited about the $80 labor fee, but the overall price and convenience were worth it.
