Went in for alignment done on my vehicle, came back in 4 weeks with creaking and swerving thought it was due to my mis-alignment, however they put on my vehicle back on the rack and confirmed alignment was correct and adjusted as necessary while fixing my issue that was unrelated. After moving recently, I needed to get an enclosed trailer moved to my new house. Single axle, two tires, easy..... But one of the tires was flat, and apparently had been for some time. my son-in-law used a spare to move it and I needed to replace mine and return his tire. Knowing that the trailer was not likely to be moved anytime soon, I had no real desire to buy a new tire. I took it to Skinner Tire. Sara told me, after expressing the idea that I would like a cost-effective option, that it may just need a repair and air. After one of their technicians looked at the tire, I was told that the rim was a bit out of shape and that he was grinding it down a bit, and the tire held air. Incredibly, instead of a new tire at $120+, I was charged $10 for the labor and air. There are some places that might have taken advantage of me, but I was told that Skinner took pride in taking care of their lady customers. I will never go anywhere else for tires again! read more

I was traveling from Michigan and had a water pump go out just across the SC line. If there can be any positive to breaking down far from home, it was the people I came in contact with that helped me. This garage was busy when the tow truck driver introduced me and my truck to the staff. They told me they wouldn't be able to look at it till way later, and probably repair in one or two days. I went to the campground my daughter was staying at expecting to have to call work and home telling them I'd be delayed. The next morning, I got a call, the truck was fixed and ready to be picked up. I travel a lot, so it's eventually going to happen every now and then. Yep, I had a blow out on the interstate. Something about going over the speed limit with a temporary plug in the tire will do it. Luckily, I had cell service and was able to locate and call Skinner Tire. The lady who answered the phone asked the tire size and was straight to the point at hand, right down to the pricing details. She said that her agent would arrive within 45 minutes and that he was, right on time. After the agent arrived, he removed the old tire and replaced it with a new one right there at the mobile setup. 30 minutes and almost $200 later, we were back on the road. I wasn't excited about the $80 labor fee, but the overall price and convenience were worth it. read more

I went in for a oil change and a hose that was leaking on my wife car. I was the first on there on Thursday morning when they opened. they said they could fix it, so I got a ride home. I call them around 4:00 and they put the Mechanic on the phone to tell me they could not fix it . I went to the shop and ask why they could not have called me early they told me they lost the paper work on the car. they started getting rude when i got loud about then waiting all day and not calling me. I have been told by others they pick and choose what they want to do so they can make quick money. I was also charged 102.00 for an oil change I will never go back to them again....... read more

I brought my RV to have them balance the tires and do a coolant flush. I wasn't happy with the techs to start off with, so i stayed to watch over them during the repair. After they where done the first thing i noticed was the grease on my white leather seats, i don't like to complain so i cleaned it myself. As many of you may know an RV doesn't get used much, so i didn't notice a coolant leak at first. When i did notice a leak, i ask the NEW mechanic that i had found to check it out. He found that a fitting had been broken off and was leaking antifreeze. Of course Larry (the owner) says i should have brought it back to him, but with me not being happy in the first place, i didn't want them even touching it. The total cost for me to get it repaired was over $500.00, and Larry will not help out on the bill. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING!! read more
