Hindinger Farm sells fresh vegetables, fruits, jams, and other items for children, and it has a beautiful backdrop. One side of the farm overlooks the other side of the farm and the other side of the farmi overlooks this beautiful backdrop of nature on the farm. Hindubger Farms puts on live shows, and you can go shopping. There is also a playground for the kids to play. The playground is fenced in with a picnic area so parents can enjoy their food without worrying about their children's safety. You can always check their website for events, shopping, and find out which food truck will be at the farm that day. The customer service was great, and I will definitely be back.

Of all the sites we visited, this was the stand out. The fruits and vegetables are incredible... literally picture-perfect and bursting with flavor. In addition, the stand has lots of homemade products like mango salsa, horseradish mustard, and the like. These specialty items are delicious! Oh, and don't forget to pick up some of their homemade preserves. My husband and I practically overdosed on peach preserves! There is a beautiful outdoor area where kids can play, which also makes the stand a nice destination for families. Last but not least, the staff that works here is so friendly. I grew up in Texas, where the protocol is that two very important things must happen to every child: 1. You're taught to have immeasurable pride in the Lone Star State and just about everything that stands upon it, and 2. The "bigger is better" mentality is permanently seared into the core fibers of your soul with a branding iron. So, naturally (and I hate to admit this given how many Americans absolutely HATE everything Walmart) I have an affinity. :) Haha, I actually used to get excited to go to Walmart as a child, opted to frequent the establishment for no reason at all as an adolescent, and am willing go out of my way to shop at Walmart as an adult. Yes, you might think I'm a loser for this, but in my mind - and true Texan fashion - I'm a winner. I WIN when I go to Walmart in Hamden. I'm always able to find what I'm looking for (possibly because the generic Walmart blueprints have imprinted into my brain). This Walmart can be cluttered, but it's Walmart... And I think of Walmart's as reasonably cluttered mega stores where I accept the fact that items aren't organized by color. I've never had any problem with customer service there, the employees are always friendly with me and do their best to help me if I need. My expectations when I come to Walmart in Hamden is to be able to find what I need, and then some! Walmart is big, sells a lot of big stuff, and that's better to me. Plus, there's the Walmart app, that has the savings catcher, so you can scan your receipts and get money back if you paid more for an item at Walmart than you would have paid at another shop nearby, which is HUGE -- and another WIN in my book.
