I took the PS5 to Ez Fix, and according to Adan, it was going to also need a heat sink cleaning too. How it works is you pay a deposit for a diagnostic. What your electronic needs, they tell you how much it will be, and your diagnostic goes towards the repair and labor. I know it's not revolutionary, but I've always liked that business model. I received my PS5 5 days later, and it now works without any hitches. Adan also suggested I place the console in an elevated position away from feet level. I'm satisfied with the repair they did, and I will be inquiring to them about future repairs.

I spoke with the owner by phone to confirm that a $48 item was in stock before ordering, as…read moreadvertised on their website, as some businesses show items in stock which are not. The owner confirmed they were in stock and that he has 32 off them. I asked if he was aware that the part was recently discontinued by Fender, to which he said he was not. We had some small talk about the manufacturers habits with production, etc, and then I ended the call telling him that I would be ordering three from him, and was told to do so through the website. Having been pulled away from placing the order right after the call by a handful of hours due to a family matter, I went back to complete the transaction of the three items already placed in my cart previously, at which point the page refreshed and notified me that my cart was now empty. When I went to put the items back in my cart I noticed that the owner had raised the price by $6 each to $54 per since our call, obviously based on the information I provided him about the part being discontinued. Since it was later in the evening, I decided to call right away the next morning to revisit our prior conversation and to explain what happened with my shopping cart and to ask for a courtesy price adjustment in good faith based on my previously stated intent. In short, I was told that the price is now $54, not $48, and the price was changed two days before, and not after our call, which is not true. I was also told that my cart should not have emptied and that items remain in the cart on his website once placed. I reiterated that for some reason my cart did in fact empty for whatever reason, and that I was simply and respectfully looking for him to honor the price from when we spoke when the items were already in my cart. He said he would go as low as $50 for me, not the original $48, because Fender has raised their prices across the board recently. When I pointed out that his stock of 32 items was purchased at the older pricing before the supplier increases, he bailed on that failed reasoning and went to 'Well, they don't make these anymore, so it's supply and demand." I said that I understood how that works, but that I was the one that told him they were discontinued in the first place, which lead to him jacking up the price, and was just looking for him to honor the price, which he could do, but was instead choosing to get additional money out of me anyway. I said no thanks and informed him I wouldn't be doing business with him based on how he chose to handle the matter. I had previously been shopping about $500+ of additional parts and services from this vendor/shop, but due to this experience, will not ever be doing business with them.

I brought this to his attention, he attempted to fix the issue however after the first adjustment, the camera was still not correctly positioned, and there were smudges on the LCD screen. Then he made a second attempt, but the camera remains misaligned and there is still dust visible inside the display. This is not the level of quality I expected from a professional repair shop. The device was returned to me in a condition that is still not properly repaired.
