Whitney in the office laid her hands on the historical project immediately, was very fast to remember the project, was very quick to understand what this project was, and sent James to the field. James showed up late in the afternoon and was so quick that I didn't recognize who he was. I actually started to chase him away. I am so glad that I didn't. He was very good at communicating what he was going to do and how he was going to approach it. We offered to move some equipment but James already had a plan in motion. James did a fantastic job and was detailed in every aspect. He worked hard and double checked his work. What an enjoyable young man to have contributing to the project! I received another proposal for the same scope from Rittiman Surveying for $750 with a $150 Rush Charge. I sent a message to the Ash and Associates surveyor about the proposal. He stated that the estimate included drive time, office time, and site time. I could not see how this justified an estimate that was 3X what the other surveying company was proposing.
