A hearty round of applause to SternWheeler Charter owner, Jack Russell, for an absolutely perfect venue on his restored paddle-wheel boat: the Christine W for our reunion in Seattle. Our group of ~ 45 was greeted by a smiling Captain Lou who rounded us up to review Coast Guard required safety procedures: sprinkling them appropriately with a few well timed puns. Our group was celebrating our 40th high school reunion (we attended high school in Bangkok, Thailand, graduating in 1975.) Since I lived in the area, I thought it would be a great location for alum from around the US to travel and vacation for a reunion...especially since for many, this was their first visit to Seattle and I wanted to show off my city. Boy did SternWheeler help me do that in style! The paddle-wheel boat cruised at a leisurely speed for 3 hours and had plenty of room to accommodate our group. (It holds a maximum of 49) We opted for a Sunset cruise, brought in beverages and party trays from Costco. I had first considered an Argosy cruise, but having a private charter was not only more within our budget, it was all the more special that we had the cruise to ourselves. Rain or shine the Christine W would have been a fun venue, but remarkably I picked the most glorious weekend in September: sunny, dry and a toasty 85° on September 12, no less! I had suggested everyone bring a light jacket--expecting much cooler temps on the Lake after sunset, but it stayed comfortable until we docked at 9:30 pm. As the sun set on Lake Union, we ate, drank and danced (bring your music playlist--the Christine W has an iPod connection with speakers.) Captain Lou even slowed down to point out the Sleepless in Seattle houseboat! But the true highlight of the cruise was coming around the curve of the lake to see the Space Needle all lit up, sparkling and spectacular against the skyline. I cannot recommend SternWheeler Charters enough for your next private event--particularly if you have out-of-town guests. You won't be disappointed.

We recently booked Hot Tub Boats with our friends for a triple date day out, and we had a blaaasssttt! I was the only one of us out of six who had done it, so it was so fun getting to introduce them to Hot Tub Boats. Upon arrival they asked if it was anybody's first time, and as mentioned it was, so they gave us a 10% discount and free epsom salt soak which was so nice of them and totally unexpected. They got us back into the locker room quickly to pack up all of our stuff and get ready to head to the boats. After a quick safety demo we were out! It's so fun to bring along some snacks, refreshing beverages, and hang out on the lake on a nice day with friends. It was so cool seeing several sea planes landing and taking off! My only complaint is that two hours on the boat goes waaaay too fast. But that just gives me an excuse to book again. :) 10/10 do recommend checking them out if you haven't, it's the perfect day out!

The water temperature was just right, and the rose petals and Epsom salt add-on completely elevated the vibe felt luxurious, relaxing, and intentional in all the best ways. You can really tell care was put into creating an experience, not just a service. Ashley was amazing so gracious, accommodating, and welcoming, even though our entire group arrived late (which we really appreciated!). She made us feel taken care of from the moment we arrived and throughout the entire experience. 10/10 across the board--we would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for something unique, relaxing, and special. We'll definitely be back!

Clients are pampered, fed three gourmet meals each day, and taken on beautiful excursions. We saw an abundance of whales, dall porpoises, sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, bald eagles, deer, and bears. Fishing was a delightful success(we shipped 43 pounds of salmon and halibut home). After our cruise, we explored Alaska by land, and although still scenic, the whole land experience was anticlimactic. Any future visits we make to Alaska will center on this kind of cruise, and I can't imagine anyone doing it better than Viaggio Luxury. Floyd Hale

Only 6 guests allowed, so the boat is quiet and not over crowded. Only 2-3 crew members who take care of everything and with a smile. They emphasize making the trip as stress-free as possible-and it was. Spacious boat, nice, clean rooms, delicious food, friendly crew. Watch and learn from the chef (who will cater to your likes/dislikes, food allergies and preferences), hang out in the wheelhouse and talk with the captain while looking for wildlife, and drive the boat. Great for all ages-fellow travelers ranged from teen to senior. Lots to do on the boat like movies and local books and plenty more off the boat- kayaking, whaler for easier sight-seeing, 27' sport boat so we could fish as often as we wanted (fishing licenses included-so one less thing we had to deal with). Caught crab and fish and had it for our meals the same day and beyond! We even had some to take home. We saw so much wildlife and other special sites without the cost of extra excursion fares. We rarely saw other boats (besides fishermen) so we were out in Alaska's natural element to take in the scenery with privacy-no big cruise ships or 1000s of people-just a small boat and nature. We were able to get close to wildlife without disturbing them or they followed our boat for up-close and personal experiences-from whales to porpoises, bears to porcupines. You spend a lot of time at sea but in a good way-taking in the surroundings you normally wouldn't see with other tours (large cruises) or traveling on your own. But you can make stops in town for a night depending on what tour you book. With never being on a private charter tour before, we really didn't know what to expect, but we were blown away with the experience and being spoiled. PS - They were great about getting back to us when we had additional questions before booking the trip. Also, they will work to pick you up at your hotel or airport.
