Talking to the sales person she showed me suitable clothing for my size and shape. I bought a Joseph Ribkoff top with a wide pant that was on clearance. These 2 pieces are very versatile and I will get lots of wear out of each piece. The top was something that I normally wouldn't of tried on, but with the reassurance that it is very flattering I gave it a try. I live in the Fraser Valley so it was a bit of a drive to Steveston but I will go back and shop at Jet-Lag. I suggest get on their email list and take advantage of their many promotions and sales.

Beau Monde is a souvenir and gift shop that features many items that are locally made. Among the funny captioned tee-shirts like how stick people became extinct (I'll let you wander into this store to find out how *wink*), hand-made knit toques, postcards, knit purses, statues, figurines, gems, socks, frames, and more I was drawn to their collection of dream catchers. I don't come across many, and this store had a wide range of colours, sizes and designs. I bought myself a lovely white one for my keychain for only $3.50 and it was hand-crafted in Cranbrook, BC. A simple and clean blue and white scheme, a large open space, a couple of racks of clothing, a simple artsy armchair, and Kelsi Dagger shoes! Their careful selection of clothing reflects in the brands that they choose: Covet, Something Else, Gentle Fawn, Spiewalk, Designers Remix, and a couple of other newly discovered brands today. Lots of cute tops and dresses, jeans, as well as a good collection of jackets. Oh, did I mention that they also carry Kelsi Dagger shoes (Pour La Victoire's sister line). Upon entering the shop, I am greeted in a friendly manner and offered a quick introduction about the boutique. Featuring local and international artists, who make unique and individualized jewelry from necklaces to broches to rings to bags. At that time, there was a collection of necklaces featuring endangered plants. Placed elegantly in well-cleaned glass cases, I was able to read about the endangered plant and admiring the skills of the created pieces. On the next display, there were trending pieces from an international place (I forgot where) of these black flat, foam like necklaces. Light as air, and when placed on the wearer, it appeared to look like a tattoo. Really interesting pieces! Other displays featured, wishbone necklaces to aboriginal-like jewelry to canvas/wool bags to abstract rings. At the back of the store, there is an area from which an artist is found making jewelry on the spot! I also learned that they are able to make custom pieces for you, but I'm not sure how much. A really nice and trendy boutique. After leaving the store, I checked-in and realized there was a check-in offer of a Free Jewelry Cleaning. With that, I will definitely be returning and to see what other artist's jewelry they are featuring.
