I think overall, this place has a good vibe and some decent dresses. I wouldn't say the dresses are the best prices, but when you hit the right sale, you'll find some keepers.

As the name suggests, Blushing Boutique carries fun, feminine and flirty frocks. Lacy, decked with…read moresatin trimmings and some added flounce for good measure, part of me felt as though I'd walked into modern day Barbie's closet. Most of the merchandise is made Shelley Klassen, the proprietor of Blushing Boutique. Her garments are designed and made in Vancouver, with material being locally sourced. While there's definitely a bit of a retro feel to most of her designs, almost a la Betty Boop, she doesn't strive to alienate her clientele by making them so that they only look good on those with model-esque proportions. Everything here is meant to add a bit of glamour and fun to the everyday woman's everyday wardrobe. Klassen's designs comprise most of the store's merchandise but they also carry Nine West shoes and bags by Canadian company Be Bold. Prices rarely dip below the $200 mark but you'd almost swear it's worth the splurge and temptation to claim "fashion need" bankruptcy. The pieces in this boutique are exquisite and come from a splattering of designers - both known and emerging - who all have impeccable taste. Unique combinations of neutral tones and tactile materials mix with bohemian and eclectic to create the most stylish wardrobe a girl could hope for. Apart from the shell-shocking price tags, the shopping experience at Misch is very pleasurable. Hardwood floors and neatly arrange racks make for easy garment spotting and you'll also find a small assortment of very groovy shoes and bags to compliment your gorgeous look. I will definitely return to Misch to shop up a storm, once I've made my millions.

Like when you are invited to a big event or posh party last minute, only to discover you have absolutely nothing to wear! In this scenario, retail therapy can quickly turn into a complete and total nightmare. My suggestion: choose a store that will calm and relax your nerves, no matter how frantic you feel. With flowers, relaxing music, and aromatherapy, Misch on Granville Street creates an atmosphere conducive to finding the perfect outfit. Peruse the racks of neatly filed fashion finds for many big names in fashion, some hot off the runway, in a plethora of fabrics, patterns, and cuts, lace, satin, cashmere; dresses, skirts, pants, blazers, tops, and jackets, shoes, and designer jewellery. Trend with a twist is what you'll find at Misch. And, since they only order one size of each piece, you'll never get caught wearing someone else's outfit!

Maybe if I loved the styles more, I can justify it and perhaps if they had a sale. Then again, everyone has different styles since my friend just loved this store. 12 months later and my love affair with this little shop stands…read more Last week, I was walking the Make It Festival when the infamous Karen jumped into the aisle in front of me. Not only did she remember me (i've bumped into her a few times at the shop, but not more then a handful) but she was still the incredibly energetic, totally genuine ball of sunshine that made me RUN home to pen that first review back in January. And so, as a tip of the hat to my top service ninja of the year, I thought it be best to share some new findings at Two of Hearts: 1. Karen has a jewellery line that she sells at the shop! Go buy it and support local crafters and an all around rad person! ...I don't remember the name, because I took a business card and had her write down the specifics on a few pieces. Such organization obviously means I will lose said card within 24 hours. I do however have a note that says: "Sounds like the muppets song Mahna Mahna." Because i'm an adult. So I will take that to the Twitterverse for further investigation. Stay tuned. 2. Hats!! If you are looking for the most fabulous fall hat, go check out the Andre felt hats from Montreal. I debated over mine last January and it is singlehandedly my second favourite purchase of the year (it's tough to compete with the Fiat...) They are an excellent price (under $100), made in Canada and just classic, beautiful pieces. But if you buy the red one in the window before, I will get mad at you. Bonus points: you can't even find this line online for a better price. Tip of the hat 2ofH. 3. Bags! I have beat the s%&t out of my bag over the year - every day, dual laptop wielding and it has survived. Definitely looking a bit worse for wear, but it's held up far better then I expected, considering the price point is so reasonable. Right now, they have super awesome colours like hot pink mailbags & bright red clutches. It's a rainbow money suck! 4. Still with the awesome people. Karen isn't an anomaly here. Honest to gosh, i've had nothing but the most fabulous service every time i've gone in. Everyone who works here is all sugar & spice. ...I still have yet to find any actual clothing that fits me properly here... but I don't care. Great accessories & fab people will keep this place as a go to. *** Meiku Designs!!! ... not even close.

There's an equal balance of trendy items (why, sequined argyle, why?) and more versatile pieces. When I was shopping for a very specific suit two years ago Plum was the only spot to deliver fit and meet the criteria. Plus it was on sale. The changing rooms at this location are clean and spacious: plenty of hooks and bench space. As an added bonus is that the mirrors are well-lit and flattering. I've always appreciated the friendliness of the staff here. They'll happily check for sizes at other locations, etc. and generally try to help.

Ateefa, the owner, is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also dedicated to providing her clients with the best. The way she matches outfits to personalities - she is truly an artist. My mom and I, by chance, visited her boutique one rainy Sunday morning. Within minutes, Ateefa was able to figure out our styles and suggest an array of outfits. After we made our purchases, Ateefa had even offered to walk our bags to the car because I was wearing flats and she didn't want my shoes to get ruined. I mean wow - no one today does that! (Even she was wearing flats!) Here's the thing - you can get beautiful outfits anywhere, but what you can't get everywhere is outstanding service. Till this day, I still purchase from Ateefa and I live all the way in California. I promise you - once you set foot in Bombay Couture you'll keep coming back.

It's a little boutique in Grandview Corners. They carry brands I've never seen before so if you are into boutique and unique clothes, I think this is the place for you. They had denim, shirts, sweaters, scarves and dresses. Not too much inventory but enough stuff to browse through. They also had accessories ranging from bracelets, necklaces to earrings. They were pretty cute and trendy. As for the service, it was nice enough. I don't really like getting hassled by the service associate so it was great. My sister tried on few dresses and decided on a cute black dress. I like the idea of supporting independent businesses so I will be checking this place out again if I need something. I am not quite a fan yet as I haven't purchased anything so I will update later on.
