They looked like a pair of shoes the Stray Cats band would wear. I would later on end up buying a pair of patent leather shoes. Not exactly what I was looking for but they were patent leather, which is what I really wanted. Gosh the 80s had so many oddly weird songs that became hits & we grooved to them! Looking back now - it's actually quite cringey & I won't admit to which songs I liked ... I'll never tell! https://youtu.be/nTizYn3-QN0 However, these dudes put out some fabulous songs & videos & I have to admit, I ended up getting into the blazer style because of them! Anyway, I never wore those ridiculously pointed shoes outside at all - too unpractical & I would have been tripping over myself on every block cause the tip would have been catching every rise in the pavement. After being heavily embarrassed (he made me joke of the year) by a nephew who was rummaging threw my closet years ago & found my 'pointy shoes,' I finally said - I gotta get rid of them. I actually took them to the downtown location, handed them to a sales person & said - they are still new, unworn & I have zero desire for them & then left. I didn't ask for any refund or credit I just wanted them gone like a bad rash! I had contemplated actually handing them over to the founder John Fluevog, who I'd occasionally see downtown. He's hard not to miss - tall & fashionable. Fluevog shoes are occasional - parties, tea party, weddings, costume party, or just plain wanting to stand out - cool like dat - while you're out & about. Keep in mind that these shoes can hurt the feet depending on how long you have them on for. We're not talking Nike Air Max quality but rather firm & solid type wear - so keep that in mind if your feet tend to be on the sensitive side. I mean it's like being on the Strip in Vegas - one is just not going to walk the whole Strip wearing red bottoms ... right!?! Fluevog shoes are classic fashionable wear - so if you're wanting to stand out & make a scene - get here & get stylin'!

Even though the website said that the boots were in stock at the stores, the information was plain ass wrong. None of the shops actually had the boots in her size. A sales person at this location was quite honest, she said; "The inventory system is not very good. I show on my store data base that the shoes are in stock here, but they are not. They are in stock at the store on Robson street." We walked to that store. The boots were not in stock there as well. 2 Yelp stars for giving Bambie and me a time wasting run around. Funny aside - I was wearing my high top Aldo sneakers while we did all the walking between the stores. I got mine at a Nordstrom rack in California. I paid 70% less for them there than the Aldo store price.

My…read morehusband gave them a lot of business buying work shoes for himself for years and paying his workers to buy work shoes every year during their sale. My husband brought me there on the last day of their annual sale one time and persuaded me to buy a pair. I carefully selected a black leather easy walk shoes which I intended to use for both work and walk with my husband. I tried a pair in 7.5. My toes were touching the front and I tried hard to pull my toes back a bit. A sales lady told me that was the only size they had and was impatient trying to push me to complete a sale. My own pair of shoes that day was in size 8 and was comfortable. I was hesitant with this 7.5 SAS. She kept saying my own shoes were too big for me and that the easy walk in 7.5 fitted me well. At the end, I lost the battle and was coned into buying it. Every time I wear the shoes, I hate myself. The shoes were not cheap over $220 plus tax if I remember correctly. The leather is good quality and the shoes are comfortable inside. But I struggle to find more room in front of my toes. I wear the thinnest socks I can find every time. I wear it in occasions when I don't have to walk a lot for example sitting in the office because I expect my feet will expand after walking so the shoes will be even tighter. One day I wore it to walk with my husband as I don't have walking shoes. I had blisters all over my toes as I walked and both feet were sore for days. Now it can only sit on my shoe rack while I paid over $220 without a pair of shoes that I can use. This pair of SAS is my first and also last. I would not recommend this shoe store. For over $200, you can buy many trendy good looking comfortable shoes from good service sales people without trying to push you to meet their target.

Bare walls and no trendy decor. This ain't Holt Renfrew. The shoe selection isn't the world's largest, but it's somewhat decent. They seem to carry mostly runners, though there's a bit of everything. I found what I was looking for, in the style and colour I wanted, at a good price. Sometimes 2 similar pairs of shoes will have 2 different discount rates. A bit of negotiation helps here. I left happy. Can't really go wrong with buying shoes here.
