COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All…read morepatients are expected to wear a mask too. The staff also wear gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is opened with limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between patients. They are only taking patients by appointment only. No walk ins. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: Lots of parking here in the back of this establishment. Just an FYI, Dr. Lam's office is located inside a massive medical plaza. Prepandemic, the parking lot would always be full and you would have to constantly circle the lot for a parking spot. The parking spots are decent. Not too big or too small. Staff: I loved coming here as a child. Dr. Lam was my pediatrician for 18 years. Now, I take my neighbor's children to see him because he is the best. He is very kind, patient, dedicated, passionate, loving, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He has like over 40+ years of experience. He could retire because he is well over 65 years old, but he chose not to because he loves his job. Now that's dedication. Anyways, I would trust him with my future kids life. His receptionist, Angela, has been working there for more than 20+ years. She is kind, friendly, and laidback. I believe she used to be a nurse before working for Dr. Lam as his receptionist. Dr. Lam can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

I have never had such a terrible experience at a clinic before. I took my 5-year-old for an annual…read morecheck-up, and this was the most impatient pediatrician I have ever encountered. What's even worse, my child needed two vaccine shots, and instead of administering them properly, the doctor held two syringes in one hand and injected both at the same time into the same arm. My child was crying uncontrollably--it was heartbreaking. I'm not sure if this violates medical guidelines, but I don't believe this is how a pediatrician should treat a young patient. I strongly urge others to think twice before coming to this clinic!!!

They gave my 1.5 year old daughter 2 extra doses of the chicken pox vaccine in separate visits…read more(administered 3 total when she should have 1 dose at that age) because they forgot to check their own records. After the 3rd dose, the injection site swelled up and she had an anaphylactic reaction and broke out in hives. It's been 2 years, and my daughter still scratches the injection site. The nurse also let my 1.5 year old daughter play with the empty glass vaccine vials, which she could have easily swallowed. I also requested for a doctor's note to clear my daughter for returning to school. Instead they made another mistake and sent our school a note that my daughter had Hand Foot Mouth (which she did not) so I had to further rectify. While Dr. Lai called everyday to check on her regarding the hives, there has been a trend of mistakes and we have since switched practices.

Never store your credit card with San Marino Pediatrics. I requested multiple times to have my card…read moreremoved from their system, and the front desk confirmed it was deleted--yet it was still charged again without my consent. That alone is unacceptable. Their billing practices are also questionable. They knew the vaccination wouldn't be covered due to an insurance change, but chose not to inform us until after the second visit. This lack of transparency feels deliberate and financially motivated. The front desk staff are consistently rude and dismissive, making every interaction unpleasant. Sadly, Dr. Allison herself seems to lack empathy and appears more focused on billing than truly caring for her patients. This entire experience has been disappointing.
