To the other parents who are having issues - FILE A COMPLAINT with your insurance provider and with the medical board for lack of access to care. Today (Thurs 1/8 - normal business day) was the 4th time within the last year that I was unable to make an appointment for my sick 2 year old because no one would pick up the phone, all day. I sent an email and waited on hold 9 different times for a total of 35 minutes, and no one ever picked up or called me back. No indication the office was closed. This is inexcusable when they're in the business of caring for sick infants and children (if you're closed, let us know so we can find other care?). You can see in my photo, the previous time a month ago I was on hold for 15 minutes before they hung up on me. Once or twice, I give them the benefit of the doubt but 4 time in a year! Business is too good that they don't need your business or care to answer phones anymore. We've changed doctors as of 3 hours ago.

Dr. Greenberg is always there for her patients -- whether it's by call, text, video visit, home visit, or even a same-day appointment at her beautiful office in Pasadena. The personal attention and accessibility she offers is rare and so comforting for families. I highly recommend scheduling a first wellness visit with her -- once you do, you'll have the peace of mind knowing you can always connect with her when needed. On top of her excellent care, her prices are very reasonable compared to many other practices in Pasadena. We are so grateful for her compassionate and dedicated care!

After the 3rd dose, the injection site swelled up and she had an anaphylactic reaction and broke out in hives. It's been 2 years, and my daughter still scratches the injection site. The nurse also let my 1.5 year old daughter play with the empty glass vaccine vials, which she could have easily swallowed. I also requested for a doctor's note to clear my daughter for returning to school. Instead they made another mistake and sent our school a note that my daughter had Hand Foot Mouth (which she did not) so I had to further rectify. While Dr. Lai called everyday to check on her regarding the hives, there has been a trend of mistakes and we have since switched practices.

That alone is unacceptable. Their billing practices are also questionable. They knew the vaccination wouldn't be covered due to an insurance change, but chose not to inform us until after the second visit. This lack of transparency feels deliberate and financially motivated. The front desk staff are consistently rude and dismissive, making every interaction unpleasant. Sadly, Dr. Allison herself seems to lack empathy and appears more focused on billing than truly caring for her patients. This entire experience has been disappointing.

We listen and do everything she recommends. She also shares her own experiences as a mother. We love that! I think patients and their parents need to be more reasonable about the front office. They are doing their best under a highly stressful or pressured environment. They are working with a very vulnerable population: children. We have to understand that we are in a post-COVID world and the healthcare industry was hit the hardest. While some policies are "stone-age", the only thing that matters is that our children are getting top quality care and I feel this practice does that. Just to note, that policies take a while to change/implement, so patience is necessary when it comes to all doctor's offices. My child is a newer patient but every question, and after-hours call has been answered. I am able to come in anytime to see her doctor or any available doctor. All the doctors are great and have the most up to date care. The CS portal is user friendly and has all the information I need for my child. Let's remember that healthcare workers are people too. Treat them with kindness especially since they are treating our children with their patience, expertise and kindness.

Cons: wait times on the phone can be horrendous, the nurses who call you back aren't always the most knowledgable (some are great, some are so-so), the "new system" they use as a result of joining Cedars requires you to fill out forms and sign digital docs on the Ipad everytime you come.

They are all super friendly, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and give the best care. Their original/ first location is in San Dimas. Dr. Michael's works out of both offices but is mostly in South Pasadena in the mornings. We have been to the SD location when we happened to be in the area and needed immediate help. The office staff are so kind and willing to help at both offices. I like the SP office more because of all the cute decor, child friendly furniture, toys, and crafts they put in the patient's rooms. At the end of every visit, you get an email with the summary notes which you can access through the patient portal. You can also make video appointments if needed. The doctors always want your kids to have a positive experience there so they usually ask parents if it's ok to give a lollipop or a sticker. We highly recommend Foothill Pediatrics.
