We have a PPO and the Dr required a referral from our sons doctor, any chart work concerning treatment of the Hoshimotos and previous labs concerning the same. As a parent I realized this was a lot to require for an initial appt, but when it comes to your children, you do what you need to do! Dr Swe has been proactive since our sons first appt. Dr Swe looked at his previous records, had a conversation with him, and told him the plan going forward. He was exhausted, having major mood swings, having a hard time focusing, and not eating the way he should. The doctor ordered blood work ASAP and called him personally a few days later. (what doctor calls their patients personally anymore?!) She told him that she had called in a higher dose of Levothyroxine and he was to start that. Dr Swe ordered that he have blood work done again within 90 days so she could check his levels and make sure he was improving. In Dec of this last year, he was doing very well, everything had balanced out and he was feeling good! Dr Swe ordered a scan of his thyroid. She called him the day after the scan and told him there was a small nodule on his thyroid, he needed to go have it biopsied. The nodule was so small it couldn't be felt. The day after the biopsy, she called and told him he had Thyroid Cancer. She talked with him and told him if he would like to come in to the office and talk, she would sit with him. (Again! What doctor does this anymore?!) She told him she has an excellent surgeon (Dr S. Battaglia) that she would refer him to and she thought it best to take the entire thyroid out. Within one months time, he was scanned, biopsied, diagnosed, and had a Thyroidectomy. Dr Swe was there for evry phone call he made, every question he asked, and as an encouraging support thru the entire process. I have thanked The Lord many times for her, her knowledge and wisdom, her compassion, and her strength. Our son is now cancer free! He continues to see Dr Swe as they continue in trying to find the fine balance needed when one's thyroid has been removed! I understand it can be quite a frustrating journey, but there's no doubt in my mind that Dr Swe is up for the challenge!

ALL THE BLOODWORK and scans pointed to hyperparathyroidism. DR. SWE than proceeded to tell me all was fine and she would review in 6-12 months! MEANWHILE MY KIDNEY FUNCTION is lowered. THANK GOODNESS my daughter is a surgeon and told me point blank DR. SWE IS WRONG and priority should be the kidney function and I require the nodule removed from the parathyroid gland. I am now under the care of a SURGEON and WILL NEVER CONSULT WITH THIS DOCTOR AGAIN. CLEARLY SHE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE.

Great English communicator, explains and…read moreeducates, great bedside manners, straight to point in what he can help with or not off of my choice since my numbers weren't bad enough for need of medication. He encourages to find coping mechanism which was really nice to hear. Most doctors don't offer even that advice. Experience (covid times/plenty vaccine supplies days): I came to get some answers/learn. He understands what sjogrens autoimmunity is and understands it can cause havoc anywhere anytime which was really nice acknowledgement. Only doctor that explained so clearly what sjogrens autoimmunity is to a real person. Everything he said was on point and I was shocked since I'm use to other doctors just either puzzled by me or spewing off book studies of what I have. Autoimmunity is a guessing game in trying to also get help. I've gone through sooo many specialists. He's the first to acknowledge outloud my situation as it relates to a real person. I assume he has patients with autoimmunity. He offers encouragement to fight to cope. If my thyroid progresses to be worse or I have other questions relating to his speciality, then defintely will be coming back to see him. Paper Work: First time patients need to bring insurance card and ID, and sign 4 papers, includes financial responsibility (normal), info (normal), medical release form (for possibilities of needing or giving info), arbitration form (those office requires this; if don't sign then will not been seen/rescheduled appt). They have you sign these forms outside of the office Entrance: Once inside the building, you can use the elevator (3ppl) and press P OR use the stairway that leads to rooftop open air (3 floors up to his office?). Parking: Free on street. Paid for the lot in front of it.

Everyone I called said their earliest appointment was two months out. I didn't want to wait that long so I kept calling. The last on my list was Dr Drange. When I spoke to Lucas he said he had an appointment available in 3 weeks. Perfect! Out of everyone I spoke to Lucas was also the friendliest. He explained that I needed to fill out some paperwork first and he would e-mail it to me. Within a few minutes it was in my in box. The day of my appointment I arrived at the office a bit early. I was the only one on the waiting room and a cheerful Lucas greeted me right away. A few minute later Roberto took my temperature then escorted me in. Much like Lucas I immediately got a good vibe from Roberto. He is so chilled and laid back. He took my vitals and walked me to the exam room. A few short minutes later Dr Drange came in. She took the time to listen to me and explained to me what the next steps would be to determine my diagnosis. She suggested an ultrasound of my thyroid and a more in-depth blood test - both of which she could do in her office. Dr Drange did the ultrasound herself - explaining things along the way. Then she brought me to another room where Roberto would take my blood. I dread blood test but Roberto immediately put me at ease. He was very gentle when taking my blood and it didn't hurt at all. I wish all techs were this good! A week later Dr Drange called with the results of my tests and my diagnosis. It's so hard to find a good Dr but I really felt comfortable with her. I appreciated that she listened to my concerns and explained everything to me and made sure I understood what was going on. When I came back for my follow up visit I had the same pleasant experience. Doctor visits are always scary and stressful so I really appreciate the effort that Dr Drange and her staff make to make sure their patients are comfortable and put them at ease. I'm so grateful I found them and am even more grateful that she is going to help me get my life and health back on track.

Unfortunately, my last experience was not a pleasant one. Last week, I spoke to the receptionist…read morebecause my refills of my prescription had run out so I booked an appointment a week out and was told to go to any Quest location to get bloodwork done. During the same call, I also told the receptionist I needed copies of my files for my Physician and eventually for a new endocrinologist because I moved from the Pasadena area. She said that I would need to fill out the form that will be emailed to me and I would receive the documents within 48 hours. Unfortunately, I did not receive the documents on time which caused me to have to reschedule my appointment with my physician. This past Tuesday, I had to call their office to cancel my appointment because I couldn't get an appointment for bloodwork. I told the receptionist I would call back in once I have gotten the bloodwork done. Today (Thursday) I took time to go to Quest to get bloodwork done and I was told they do not have any requests for bloodwork sent by Dr. Drange's office. So, I waited for about 30-45 minutes and they still didn't receive anything. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a hold of anyone from their office around 11 a.m. or 12:00 p.m.-12:25 p.m. so Quest had to deny my appointment and told me I had to rebook it for another time. Around 12:45 p.m. I received a call from Ruth stating because I requested a transfer of records that they cancelled the bloodwork request. The transfer of records and bloodwork was being done concurrently, so it doesn't make sense to close out my records at their office if that wasn't even communicated to me. It would have been helpful if the receptionist told me on Tuesday when I had to cancel my appointment that they were going to close out my records as a patient, so I didn't have to take time out of my day to try to get bloodwork. On a positive note there is room for improvement, if the front desk and their medical records department kept better lines of communication it would really help their patients out to avoid these misunderstandings and time wasted on the patients' side. And since the receptionist is their first line of contact, the receptionist should note in their system what was spoken about to the patient if it could potentially affect what it done on their medical records side of their office.

Had my game day appointment 2 weeks ago and my experience was amazing!…read more I would highly recommend Gameday for any guy (or gal) for HRT and wellness/longevity medicine. They will check your blood and give you results in 20 minutes! You can get to the bottom of your Health issues and have a plan and schedule of therapy same day !! I have been looking into TRT for a while now, and when I was searching the area I kept landing on gameday was where I would go to get assessed. 1. Scheduling - they were super flexible, and worked with me when I had to reschedule. 2. Office and staff- nice location , clean, pleasant and professional. Staff was on point and the receptionist and medical assistant continued to update me and inform me as my visit went on. 3. Blood test was just what I needed- I wanted to know once and for all what was causing my symptoms and have a medical expert explain the results . 4. Consultation - I had a great meeting with the medical provider, she explained what my numbers meant, why I was having so many symptoms , and made a plan for me to get treatment and improve all of my issues. 5. The program of treatment includes all medication and most importantly - ongoing blood analysis so my numbers can be totally dialed in and optimized. I can always know that what I am doing is safe, healthy, and continuing to improve my health rather than take any risks. Guys, if you have been wondering about this, make an appointment, there is no commitment, and no other place where you will get test results and a diagnosis in Under 1 hour. The benefits that HRT can provide will be life changing, and as I turn 50 this was the easiest, safest, and best value for quickly getting on a program to address all the symptoms and problems I was having. I would recommend Gameday to anyone, interested in optimizing health and hormones. It was so easy! It's a great business.
