Great doctor! So glad my family doctor referred him here! Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. And he's going to figure out what kind of diabetes my dad has after 20 years. No other doctor every even mentioned about figuring that out so we know what kind of medication he should be taking. My dad has been taking everything -_- ridiculous. He cares about my dad's health so much. He spoke with us in his office (felt a bit intimidated because if his nice big nice desk) How personal and comfortable is that? He sure makes a patient feel like he cares about their health like his. I feel confidence coming here :D I know my dad is in good hands.

Dr. Lin is so wonderful and thorough. He was so good at expressing thoughts and concerns about my situation in such a candid way. In the last 2 years I've been to 6 different endocrinologists for my VERY difficult condition. It's so "uncommon" when really, i feel like an epidemic of "cushings syndrome" is prevalent among people that go undiagnosed because of lack of awareness, and diagnosing difficulty. To give you an idea of how "rare" this is, the statistic is like 3 people in a million or something. However, It isnt uncommon among "specialists" to either not know it, or not know much about it. At this moment, i have been to enough endocrinologists and doctors to establish a solid opinion on not only the medical industry, but the profession itself, its definitely a production line of "doctors" going through the motions of doing doctor-like things, with insurance hovering over to restrict anything productive to happen too quickly. Dr. Wang totally caught me off guard and broke that consistent and steady monotony by actually asking all the right questions and looking at the right things. i gave him most of my file (yay for me for actually getting myself together for this one haha) he knew most of the doctors that i had been to, and was very familiar with the unconventional protocol that they followed. He actually contemplated the different approaches he wanted to take and possible outcomes that might result. He also made sure to keep his feet planted in reality by considering how the insurance might respond. His perspective of himself is very refreshing because he definitely knew his role in the grand scheme of things. He seems to have a very busy practice but he does take walk ins

Words cannot express how thankful and grateful that am I to have such an amazing Endocrinologist on my medical team. Parking: Street metered parking along Garfield Avenue next to the Pasadena Public Library ($1.25 per hour) or you can park in the building's parking lot ($8). COVID-19 Procedures: Before your appointment starts, you will call them to notify of your arrival. The front door will then be unlocked. You will be asked the basic COVID-19 questions and given a temperature check. Afterwards, you will proceed with your medical appointment. Dr. Spambalg and team adheres to all COVID-19 practices (gloves, masks, hand sanitizer and staying 6ft apart). Side Note: Dr. Spambalg is out-of-network and so, you will be paying out of pocket for the medical visits/teleconferences, but it is worth it. The good part is that your medical insurance covers the medications. Ever since I started working with Dr. Spambalg and her staff in October 2019, both my life and health has literally and drastically changed for the better. Just when I thought I had lost all hope of ever controlling my two major, chronic medical conditions, Dr. Spambalg came to the rescue. Her expertise, knowledge, guidance and compassionate care showed me the way. She has definitely made me a firm believer that I can control my two major, chronic medical conditions. As long as you put in the work and effort, you will see the results. She will provide you guidance and advice along with the right medications (adjusted as needed based on your lab work, which also helps keep you accountable). If you need additional medical help outside her expertise, she will also refer you to them as well. All medical visits and notes will also be sent to your doctor(s) to keep in them loop. Dr. Spambalg truly cares and wants you to get better. Best of all, she is very punctual, but never rush you. She will listen and address all your medical concerns before you end the session with her. If you have any further questions or inquiries, they are just a phone call away. With Dietician Joanne Lamberty, she was also caring and compassionate. With her guidance and advice, she gave me the necessary tools that I needed to learn and understand which foods were good and bad against my two major, chronic medical conditions. She also taught me how to properly count carbs and how to log in my caloric intake via MyFitnessPal app. Even though she has retired as of January 2020, as needed, Joanne will still be a phone call away. Yesenia and Valerie are also wonderful too! Both ladies are kind and professional. Yesenia is fantastic with showing you tips and tricks on how to make injections and finger pricking less painful and scary. I was terrified at first, but now, it is a normal routine for me. Valerie is also awesome with handling all the administrative aspect (appointment reminders/setups, ensuring all medical billings goes through, medication refills and lab work sent to the appropriate labs, etc). Yesenia also shares that part of the administrative work too, but she handles more of the pre-examinations before you meet with Dr. Spambalg. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Spambalg for all your endocrinology needs. She is truly the best of the best! Once again, thank you so much to Dr. Spambalg, Joanne Lamberty, Yesenia and Valerie for all that you do! Until our next medical appointment!

I ended up just putting my brother's name on the list...around 9:00 AM a few employees came in with their breakfast, I guess...they didn't greet anyone or anything...What's worst was they didn't even check the people on the list...we waited till 9:30 and then 9:40 then I went up to ask when is my brother's turn...they started looking for files now... the receptionist and the medical assistant loses your files. Sign in but they don't really check you in...they wait till the last minute and try to do everything including searching for your file. When they can't find your file, they would make it seem like nothing is wrong and then tell you that its your fault for not bringing your info... This is my brother's primary doctor so I took him here hoping he can see the doctor regarding his tremendous neck pain...turn out we waited only for rude services and can't see the doctor. Ridiculous!!! Our first experience wasn't that great. It seem like all the doctor know was give basic instructions like get this and that checked...he can't really cure you but we thought we give the place another chance, yet this time is even worst than the first time! I am done...switching my brother to another doctor and never coming back here.

(Which explains why nobody gets their appointment on time. :) ) I also appreciate the other staff. One time I had painful 2nd degree burns from an accident; couldn't really go anywhere, and one of the nurse practitioners "held my hand" through text messages, advising me on wound care at home. The same thing happened another time when I had an infected spider bite. My only minor complaint is how busy they are and sometimes phone calls are not returned, or questions take an extra phone call to be addressed.

This office needs serious improvement in how it handles disability paperwork and patient…read morecommunication. My mother (an inpatient RN) was evaluated here for joint issues and was placed on two months of medical leave by her provider. However, when we requested completion of the SDI (DE 2501 Part B) form, the office refused and told us she needed to attend physical therapy first. We followed that instruction, only to have the physical therapy office clarify that they do not complete SDI certification--this must be done by the treating medical provider. When we returned, the front desk then insisted she would not qualify for disability, which is not their role to determine. Eligibility is decided by the California Employment Development Department, not administrative staff. This resulted in unnecessary delays, multiple visits, and completely avoidable confusion during a time-sensitive situation. More concerning is the lack of consistency--placing a patient on medical leave while simultaneously refusing to complete the required documentation does not make sense. Patients should not be sent back and forth or given incorrect information. If the office chooses not to complete disability forms, that policy should be clearly communicated upfront rather than shifting responsibility and providing misleading guidance. Just to be fair, the first NP encounter my mom had was pleasant and professional. But the administrative handling was disorganized and unprofessional. This process needs to be addressed.
