There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is opened with limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between patients. They are only taking patients by appointment only. No walk ins. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: Lots of parking here in the back of this establishment. Just an FYI, Dr. Lam's office is located inside a massive medical plaza. Prepandemic, the parking lot would always be full and you would have to constantly circle the lot for a parking spot. The parking spots are decent. Not too big or too small. Staff: I loved coming here as a child. Dr. Lam was my pediatrician for 18 years. Now, I take my neighbor's children to see him because he is the best. He is very kind, patient, dedicated, passionate, loving, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He has like over 40+ years of experience. He could retire because he is well over 65 years old, but he chose not to because he loves his job. Now that's dedication. Anyways, I would trust him with my future kids life. His receptionist, Angela, has been working there for more than 20+ years. She is kind, friendly, and laidback. I have never had such a terrible experience at a clinic before. I took my 5-year-old for an annual check-up, and this was the most impatient pediatrician I have ever encountered. What's even worse, my child needed two vaccine shots, and instead of administering them properly, the doctor held two syringes in one hand and injected both at the same time into the same arm. My child was crying uncontrollably--it was heartbreaking. I'm not sure if this violates medical guidelines, but I don't believe this is how a pediatrician should treat a young patient. Dr. Ding Lam was the best and only pedestrian I had!!! He was so patient with me and made sure I always had all my shots up to date. The cut off for a pedestrian was 18 but the older I got he kept upping the age limit. I was hardly ever sick as a child and teenager and I believe a lot had to do with Dr. Lam. read more

So, I've been coming to Dr. Ding Lam ever since I was a baby. I would have to say that this doctor is probably the best I could ask for. He has always been good to me. Dr. Ding Lam is a very nice doctor that actually cares for his patients. Every time I go visit, he asks me about my life and school and such. He kind of looks out for me which makes me feel more personal and open. He definitely has the experience that makes a good doctor plus more. Probably the only problem I would have is the long wait. You could be waiting for hours even if you have an appointment. There really isn't much to do in the waiting room, so you probably have to bring something to do or sleep. read more

Dr. Ding Lam has been my family's pediatrician for as long as I can remember. Although I'm no longer a child, I do have to be thankful to have had him as my doctor. What made him different from other medical professionals I have encountered, he has excellent bedside manners especially when it came down to stomaching bad news. More so, he really takes the time to getting to know his patients and is one of the most down to earth individuals I've met. My daughter have been seeing Dr Lam for the past few years and he's truly amazing. Believe me, we had quite a few pediatricians and I am so glad to finally found a good, compassionate, and kind Dr. Dr Lam always take his time with all his diagnosis and addressed all my concerns. I feel safe knowing that he never prescribe any unnecessary medicine for my daughter. He always provide us natural remedies, which I love. Indeed, patience is needed as a pediatrician and Dr. Lam is the right doctor to go to. He helps and patiently explain all the questions you have. From health to behaviors to family education, he knows it all. And if needed, he will give you samples to try first (like formula, medicine, ointment etc.) before you waste money on it. Horrible doctor who doesn't listen, doesn't empathize and instead of creating a sense of positivity, creates a feeling of hopelessness. I went to a visit with my sister regarding an issue that my niece was having (as she tells me that he's always in a bad mood when she sees him so she's too intimidated to ask him about my niece's issue). Dr. Ding Lam is a wonderful pediatrician. He is patient, kind and loving. He goes above and beyond to explain to you his diagnosis and never rushes through any visits. Thus, I debated about taking a star off for the long wait but decided that because I expect to get his full attention, I too, need to respect his attentiveness with other patients and as a result, the long wait. The wait isn't always terrible. There are times when there is no wait or when the wait is very reasonable. I took my daughter in once for diarrhea, he took the time to get a sample and examined it under the microscope to make sure there are no complications. I have never visited a pediatrician as thorough as he is. Others merely listens to you impatiently and quickly scribbles a prescription to send you off your way. My daughter is 7 and he also speaks to her directly about how she could help in taking care of her own health. His staff are as nice. If you took the time to remember their names and addressed them by it, they appreciate it (and who wouldn't?). My ONLY complaint is that I wished the waiting room had a section for patients who are coughing or who are contagious. Knowledgeable! Able to diagnose my daughter within the first visit. Prescribed appropriate treatments which my daughter's bronchitis subsided. My kid was able to sleep throughout the night from his first time visit. The nurse at this office gave me the wrong blood result! She was also rude! when I asked her questions, she didn't even bother to give me a proper response and sometime not even a response. Every one else there was nice and the doctor was great. However, they really need to get a new nurse. Yes the nurses might be a tad rude, but who wouldn't be when there's always a billion patients there because Dr. Ding Lam is such a popular doctor. He is sooo patient and is truly a caring doctor. He takes his time and makes sure that all his patients are doing well and all their questions are answered before he goes onto caring for his next patient. I've been coming here since I was 8 or 9, and now I'm almost 23... unfortunately Dr. Lam wants me to move on because he is a pediatrician but I don't want to leave because not only can I honestly say, he's the best doctor I've ever had (and trust me I get sick a lot so I've been to many), he has become like a life-mentor who truly cares about your life, and well-being. Dr. Lam has been my doctor since I was born, unfortunately I had to change doctor's for a couple years due to insurance issues and that definitely took my health downhill. However, when my mom found out Dr. Lam was under my plan, she jumped on the chance and switched me back. When I went back, Dr. Lam definitely nursed me back to health. I like how he tells it like it is, at first I hated it because he made me cut out certain items from my diet (like nuts, beans, etc.) due to my condition. However, I now understand why he does so. In addition to that, he is a part time counselor. Almost every time I go in, he would ask how was school and my future career plans and etc. It's kind of refreshing to see a doctor care about their patients that way. I think it means something when a lot of people you know chose him as their doctor, that means he is very experienced in what he does! I am 19 now and he has been suggesting that I move on to another doctor since he is a pediatrician, hopefully I can still have him as my doctor till I am 21 at least ! read more

Yes, the wait is super long. Nurses are rude and bad face. Dr Lam is not our usual pediatrician, but I took my boys there last year during flu season to get their shots since everywhere else didn't have the vaccines. Yes, he personally administer the shots, BUT that was all he did. And guess what, the bill came from insurance, and he charged the visit as a well-child checkup (annual physical). Nowadays, insurance companies only cover one physical checkup per year. He totally wasted our one checkup for the year. I went back and argue with him saying that he didn't check them other than just administering the shot, and how could that be counted as an annual checkup, and obviously, he wasn't willing to budge. We have visited many doctors and every time we go in for just a vaccination shot, it's charged as a nurse visit + the administration of the shots.
