Doctor Chiriboga is awesome. Lots of Doctors have good bedside manners. B ut Doctor Chiriboga really seems to care about her patients and families. But nice doesn't "feed the bulldog". She is also really good and not afraid to say "I don't know." and then go and find out and be 100 percent right. 100 Percent recpmmended. read more

Dr. Chiriboga is the best. My son has been seeing her for the past 12 years and she has always been the excellent in diagnosis, treatment plan, and communicating with patients and family. I can't thank Dr. Chiriboga and her staff enough every time! read more

Susan Chiriboga is a pretty decent pediatrician. She is good at what she does and quiet competent. She is not a bad option. The medical office she works at is very good, like the other reviewer has written. My belief about physicians in general is that medical knowledge alone does not suffice. Doctors must need to learn how to connect with and care for people. Susan definitely needs to learn how to connect with her child patients (and especially with the parents). A bit more caring would help immensely. When you work with people, "small things" are big things! The pace at which she speaks is not right for everyone too. You need to really focus to understand her at her fast pace. Also, Dr. Susan is not very detail oriented. If you are a detail oriented person like me, then you may find her a bit irritating. I believe if she just reviews the patient record before seeing them and talks a bit slower, it may help. Dr. Susan, if you ever read this review, please read the book PERSONALITY PLUS by Florence Littauer. If you ever wondered why some of your patients did not keep you for long, this book may help you understand why. Of course, it will also help keep your current patients happier. I wish to see higher ratings for you in yelp and other review sites soon! read more

I took my six month old in for a check up with Dr. Chiriboga. While I don't have issues with her competency, I was bothered by the fact that neither her nor the nurse WASHED THEIR HANDS before handling my child. Of course, it's possible that they washed their hands outside the room before coming in, but they need to touch the doorknob- a very germy surface - to enter so it would still be an issue. I don't feel proper hand washing is emphasized here and think the risk of spreading disease from patient to patient is a huge concern! read more

Dr. Chiriboga deserves 5 stars. We went thru several pediatricians in Pasadena before settling on her and we're so lucky we did. She's personable, down-to-earth and competent. She doesn't scare already worried new parents into thinking of worst case scenarios (**cough**Dr. Gokey**coughcough**). There were very few things we disagreed with her on parenting advice because they conflicted with some advice from my mother-in-law who is also a doctor. But use your good judgement since all parental advice is conflicting. The front desk is on top of it. I've never had an issue with appointments nor have I waited for very long in the lobby area before a scheduled visit. I've had issues with billing and the ladies in the front were patient enough to explain to me the insurance made an error so I could call them to correct it. There is a separate waiting area for newborns and sometimes they have a basket with free baby items (so nice). Best part about this pediatrician's office is that it works with Arcadia's hospital which has really great reviews. Worth mentioning is the in-house lactation consultant. She's takes a homeopathic approach to nursing. She's patient and cares for mom and baby first. I felt like an awesome auntie is teaching me how to breastfeed. I had problems with my milk coming in and she helped me to relax. Even if you think you have breastfeeding down I highly recommend you meet with her. If you don't have insurance, an out of pocket's doctor's visit is about $100 minus any shots administered but you can go to the free clinic for that. Otherwise I believe there is a copay with each visit. read more

Ftm... cane here twice... for my baby's first doc appointment after getting discharge, we saw dr macoi (idk howbto spell it) she was nice and funny... but dr chiriboga OMG we love her!!! We are sad that we can't keep her due to insurance changing in March 1st but would of loved to keep her as my baby's PCP. Would definitely recommend her read more

My 12 yr old and 7 yr old have been seeing her the past 6 yrs! We love her. She's always patient, communicates well, and really shows that she cares for her patients. The wait isn't usually too long in her office. Most of the staff are really nice as well. The nurses/medical assistants are awesome! But some of the front desk people need to smile more especially when it's still early in the day. read more

we just moved here few months ago and I took my son to dr. Chiriboga. She is a nice doctor, but every time we go we have to wait for an hour to be seen and then another 40 minutes in the room to actually see a doctor. Dr. Chiriboga was always in a rush and spent with us like 5 minutes in the room. Very unhappy about that. Would not recommend her. read more

First and only pediatrician I've ever had, however as a medical doctor she seems very genuine and caring. We look forward to her helping us with our child for many more years to come. read more

Both my children have been under the care of Dr. Chiriboga since birth now ages 17 and 11. She has been so attentive to my children, I mean what stays hours after closing looking through charts and calls to ask about your child fever after a visit? She's amazing! She calls less than a week with blood work results. I couldn't ask for a better pediatrician. The staff is the BEST!!!! All of them. My son has seen other Drs in the office also Dr. Lee and she's Great. They also refer out to specialty Drs who are the best of the best. I drive an hour out for the best care for my kids. read more

After moving to California from Arizona a few years ago I was highly recommended to Dr. Chiriboga by my sister. After hearing great things I decided to take my daughter to Dr. Chiriboga for her well baby care visits. Dr. Chiriboga was kind, patient and attentive. She took the time to listen to our concerns and address each one. When we have taken my daughter in for sick visits she is not quick to prescribe medication which I like. I highly recommend Dr. Chiriboga. read more

My son has been seeing Dr. Chiriboga since he was born. Dr. Chiriboga talks pretty fast, is very friendly, and always has an answer to our questions. Most of the staff members are nice, but some of the front desk people are not the friendliest. The office itself is a little dated but functional. The wait time is usually 30 - 60 minutes. read more

Dr. Chiriboga is great! She may talk a little fast and use big medical terms but when she sees you don't understand something (and she will notice without you having to even ask) she slows right down and explains everything in terms we can all understand. We have been taking our daughter here since she was about 4 - 6 months old after a horrible experience with a different pedi (Tanya Nguyen? I think that's what her name was). I really like that Dr. Chiriboga is in a big office with 7 or so other pedi's there, just in case you need to come in last minute and she cant see your sick little monster you can be seen by any of the other Doctors in the suite. I have heard only good things about the Doctors here but I have only interacted with Dr. Chiriboga. She cares, doesn't pressure you to do something you don't want to do with your children (ie vaccines) and WASHES HER HANDS! That's a big thing to me as I haven't seen that too often. If you are looking for a great pediatrician, check out Dr. Chiriboga. If you aren't comfortable with her, there are a bunch of other pediatricians in the office you can try out under the same health insurance. They have separate waiting areas for babies and nursing mothers that is pretty quite with a door you can shut, a sick room with no toys and a bunch of tissues and a well room for older kids just getting checkups. Parking is in a big lot with plenty of spaces and there is even a little pharmacy on the 1st floor (though I have never used it). read more

I do like Dr. Chiriboga. We tried several Pediatricians. It's almost like you have to go through several bad ones before you can find the good one. We used to have a great PD in this same office, but she left for another career year ago. Since then we've been with Dr. Chiriboga. What impress me about her is that she will call and follow up with you to see how your child is doing after a sick visit. That makes you feel that she actually care about her patient. We also tried other doctors in that office but we like Dr. Chiriboga the best. read more
