The wait staff and bartenders are amazing. They make any cocktails no matter how strange it may sound for you. They remembered us even though we have only been there twice. They made us feel like we were a part of the family. Matt was the best. He created a special drink for me called the Texas Yellow Rose. It is made with gin.

Clean and concise food and drinks. Sometimes simple is best and this is one of those times if you're interested in Simplify, Simplify! Then Stella's is for you! Enjoy-

The place looks nice when you walk in. They bring out complimentary cornbread bites. They were just okay. Kind of dry but that's cornbread for you. We got the crab dip for an appetizer. It was pretty good. The house made chips were good a nice touch. I ordered the Grouper. In my opinion it wasn't seasoned well at all. It definitely needed more flavor. The fish did not taste fishy at all so that was a plus. The bed of rice my fish was on had extremely crunchy pieces in it. Not like undercooked rice but like rice that was stuck to the bottom of a pan and scraped out...extremely crunchy. I cleared my plate because I paid $41 for it and it was edible. Just not really enjoyable. My husband got the steak and he left part of it on the plate because it was so stringy and tough. It came out already sliced into pieces for you which in my opinion is a red flag when getting steak at a restaurant. My daughter got a loaded baked potato and a Caesar salad. She enjoyed it. The sticky toffee pudding was very underwhelming. I had it before at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and it was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. This was nothing like it. It almost tasted like a frozen bundt cake that was heated up and served. The ice cream on top was good. Our waiter was very friendly and polite. Food was just very underwhelming for $150.00. I'm the type of person that has no problem paying a high price for good food, especially when it's good quality and flavorful. In my opinion, this was not worth the price whatsoever.

When you are traveling across the country, it's best to take your time and not always be in a hurry to get home! We came from Asheville on our way home to Colorado Springs and decided to cut our day early and stay in Paducah. We decided to walk into downtown from our hotel and ended up at Stella for dinner! Best decision ever! Not only is it a cool little town but the food and hospitality at Stella was so worth the evening! The folks there were awesome....felt like everything was provided just for us! We started with drinks and then moved into starters. The shrimp was amazing and we were even treated to the tuna after saying I just never liked tuna before. Oh my word, so so good!!!! Our main dishes were delightful! I had the delicious Scallops and grits (something I never get in Colorado....whats up with that?). My husband had the Moqueca (Brazillian Fish Stew). Equally amazing! Our server was so kind and friendly. "E" made us feel at home and like we were part of the community. She then ended our meal with a signature cotton candy finisher. Over all...i would highly recommend spending an evening at Stella! Thank you all!

We went for a date night. It was so loud, it was hard to hear. The food wasn't impressive for the cost. The service was not impressive. She was super nice, but often forgot about us. It took 30 minutes just to get a drink, but apparently there's 4 bartenders. At this point I don't even remember what we got to eat, that's how unimpressed I was. Oh but for some reason we got cotton candy with our bill. The cotton candy was the best part.

Classic bar. Kitchen wasn't open but they had an amazing gumbo and basil in the drink perfect starter. Silver big screens to watch the game will have to come back for dinner but for now I need to scoot and go pick up something for Peggy. I would recommend checking Stella out if you have some time.

After doing some record shopping we asked "Where's a good place to go for lunch" and there was a unanimous "Parker's" from standers by. It was also, literally, about 3 blocks away. There's a menu board mounted behind the counter and they can hand you one so you don't have to squint your eyes to see all they have to offer. And this menu is ENORMOUS Parker's is a very cool throwback to the car hops of the 50s and early 60s. You can order outside on the speaker or go inside for the full-on experience. The inside is decorated with movie and music memorabilia and neon. Lots of neon. If you're eating inside you order at the counter, they give you a number, and you find a seat. The menu is hand-held/bar food. Burgers, hotdogs, onion rings, and fries, and a variety of sandwiches and a HUGE selection of sides. My wife had a mushroom and swiss burger, I had your basic cheese burger. Our sides were onion rings and fries. Our food was delivered hot, fresh, and accurate within ten minutes. My wife's burger/onion rings came on a basket shaped like a guitar. #AWESOME!! The food was tasty and delicious. I asked for tomato on my cheeseburger and they were able to add it, but was sliced probably 3/4 of an inch thick! It made the burger look a little lopsided, but it was still good. The staff was friendly and didn't look at me funny when I asked for a side of mayonnaise for my fries (yea I'm that guy). The dining room was authentically decorated, like I said, with vintage movie and music stuff down to the chrome chairs and the soda fountain seat with silver, twirly seats...even the floor tiles were like something you'd see in a movie from the 50s. Our first visit was a great experience and we had a lot of fun despite unrelenting rain. If we get to Paducah again, Parker's Drive In is definitely our lunch destination.

Really friendly and took care of her customers!) cute little drive-in with good food! 5 stars!

I'm finally having a chance to review our visits to Freight House back in November!…read more My husband and I took a little trip to Paducah, and the main reason we chose this location for our vacation was Sara Bradley's restaurant Freight House. We both are fans of "Top Chef" and since her restaurant is within reasonable distance of home, we planned a trip around it. In fact, we made reservations for two nights in a row, to take in as much of the menu as possible! Between the two different days, we tried a number of appetizers, entrees and desserts. If I were to do this again the same way, I would do one day of apps and dessert and one day of entrees, just to spread things out a bit. What we ate: - Fall pickles: I enjoyed this, with the bit of chili heat, especially the cauliflower - Stuffed Mushrooms: I love mushrooms, and these blended creamy, sweet and hot with a filling of cream cheese, berry BBQ sauce and smoked jalapeno - Pistachio and herb chevre cheeseball: a fresh cheese enhanced by nutty and Herby notes - Smoked bologna: my husband's choice; very meaty and there was a lot of it - Spicy beer cheese spread: a very Midwestern feeling appetizer with tasty veggies and crackers Entrees: -Shrimp and grits: my choice: comforting southern food with lots of flavor - Duck fried rice: his choice: rich rice offset by more delicate vegetables - Sticky ribs: my choice: the pumpkin spice and coffee liqueur glaze worked well for a cozy, wintry meal - Braised pork shoulder: his choice; served with beans and cornbread, this was another hearty, comforting meal with a Southern twist. Desserts: - Winter creme brulee: this was my favorite, flavored with mulling spices, orange and pomegranate We also enjoyed a seasonal sorbet and the fall spice cake. We had the same server both nights, Elizabeth, who was good at making recommendations, and also staggering the small plates on our small table so we wouldn't be overloaded. Chef Sara was in house the second night, bringing dishes to tables. The setting is relaxed, not overly loud, with moody lighting. Overall, we would certainly return to Freight House!

Just Hamburgers: Just okay…read more.. My cousin and I dropped by Just Hamburgers for a late lunch, lured in by the name and the promise of--well, hamburgers. Naturally, we expected a lineup of mouthwatering burger options. Plot twist: the menu was as barebones as it gets. Think "hamburgers or hot dogs" with little to no personality. No signature sauces, no quirky creations--just vibes and buns. I stepped up to order and was immediately thrown into a conversation about my shirt. (Fashion critique wasn't on the menu, but sure.) I asked about the burger size, and was told--deadpan--they're "flat." Well, that clears that up. Eventually, I was informed that a double is "about the size of a quarter pounder." Cool, I guess? I ordered a burger with mayo and chili, to which the guy replied, "That's odd, but okay." Look, either make it the way I like it or lock the doors, buddy--because this wasn't shaping up to be a five-star first impression. When my food was handed over in a paper bag with zero inquiry about dine-in or takeout, we just sat down at a dirty table and unwrapped our meal. What awaited me was the burger equivalent of déjà vu--basically a McDonald's cheeseburger in witness protection. To be fair, the food was fresh and hot. But the flavor? Aggressively average. We even debated swinging by a drive-thru afterward just to feel something again. That said, I'll give them this: it was oddly refreshing to see they serve real all-beef franks. A small win in a sea of "meh." Bottom line: If I'm nearby and need a snack, I might circle back. But I won't be making a pilgrimage for this one. Just Hamburgers lives up to its name--emphasis on just.
