Stella's is a run of the mill pizza place. The past couple times we've ordered from there, the pizza was pretty overcooked. However, I like the people who work there and their paninis are very good. Good place to stop in and grab a slice. read more

The past couple of times the pizza has been ok but def not as good as it had been. We still love the garlic knots and the service was great but fresh and as left overs the pizza makes us not want to bother again. When we get pizza we consistently get half sausage and half plain and while I usually don't complain anymore about the lack of toppings she has. When the pizza arrived I was happy to hear her say "What is it with pizza places not wanting to actually have toppings?". This was a good call since the sausage was so scant I couldn't even taste it. Received a menu in mail and ordered delivery it was quick and as ordered. Unfortunately I ordered a stromboli and a chicken parm sandwich. Both were no good at all. There cook I obviously has no idea how to cook. The stromboli was not a stromboli it was pepperoni bread. The chicken parm sandwich clearly was dredged chicken sautéed in olive oil with well made gravy. It was box chicken. I had bite of each n tossed in trash. Stella Pizza is a family favorite. We were once lucky enough to have it located within 5 minutes of our house. But a few years ago they moved into a bigger location on Berlin Road- where they are now able to offer dine-in service. The shop is run by Cherry Hill locals who know how to make a good pizza! We typically order pick up, and the pizza's are cooked fast (ready in about 20 minutes) and always hot. We stopped in for a quick lunch and were quite surprised. The place is very clean and well kept. We had the onions rings that were fried to perfection. The chicken wings were some of the best that I have ever tasted. The owner told us to try his house specialty Margherita pizza and we were very satisfied with his recommendation. When first viewing the pizza selection upon entry I wasn't wow'd - the slices w chicken looked small and dry and the others just okay. I went the safe route w one plain white and one Sicilian, which I normally don't order. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and cheesy the white was. The Sicilian was decent - Ive def had better. The food is good, the people suck though, they're consistently grumpy and unfriendly with the exception of this guy with a blue bandana. My wife has food allergies and wanted to come to lunch with me and had her packed lunch. On the way out the guy on the counter gave me a hard time. That said they lost a twice a week customer for not hearing me out. Also he probably was not aware that NJ LAW protects those with food allergies and actually broke the law. Wow!!! What a find. Stopped in the area for some other things and saw this placed rated pretty high. Tell you what go if you are in the area. The pizza is awesome, New York style thin crust with an amazing sauce. Also recommend the cheese steaks and Italian all made on a fantastic roll. Pizza is certainly their mainstay and for the nine or ten times I've eaten at Stella's, getting pizza of one kind or another every time, I've always really enjoyed their slices. Have patronized the Stalla's in Collingswood for years and have had nothing but great experience. Moved to Cherry Hill and got a flyer and assumed it was the same Stella's service and quality! Boy was I mistaken! Recently ordered a pizza and ceaser salad, and while I understand circumstances are different today, driver left delivery on the ground outside and called us who knows how long after it was dropped! The pizza was nothing like what I was accustomed too, or what I would find acceptable! Called manager to make him aware, and he said he would extend credit for free pizza to give them another try. I ordered a hoagie and they charged a dollar for replacing the lettuce with spinach. Then they brought out our food...the hoagie was small and had very little on it. What little was there was awful! When I asked if I could return the hoagie the owner became enraged and belligerent. When he yelled asking why I didn't like it I told him that it was the worst hoagie I had ever had and it was terrible. He told me I was wrong and that people order them everyday so how could it be bad he asked. I told him even a hoagie from wawa would be better and he told me that i don't know what I'm talking about and basically called me an idiot in front of customers. PS my fathers a butcher so... not an idiot when it comes to meats! After all the nastyness they did refund my money but my child was still eating his burger (which was fine) so the whole time we were there they talked to us like we were trash. I asked if I could hand the staff our plate trying to help clean up I was yelled at yet again and given a serious attitude. We order from Stella's at least once a week, sometimes more. We LOVE their cheese fries, they are amazing! We also really love their plain pizza. My family has tried about 20 different pizza places in the area looking for something as good as what we got back home, and Stella's is our winner! Not only is the food good, but the wait times are never long and they are always ready when they say they will be. Good pizza. Thin crispy crust with that awesome chew. Highly recommended! The hoagies and cheesesteaks are very mediocre at best, however. I was extremely disappointed when my turkey hoagie showed up with all the things I dislike. Slimy, processed turkey breast, a single piece of provolone, and a lame white bread hoagie roll. Cmon, this is Philly, the rolls should be amazing. I would take a Subway roll over this, and I dislike Subway. Oh well, the pizza is really good! read more
