Preorder, knock on arrival based on your pick-up time slot, wait for a staff member, state your name, and boom there you go. Pizza has a nice thin undercarriage with a crisp. We had the white pizza & the pepperoni one. They were really good. Strangely, I didn't enjoy the white pizza when it was hot. It had a thick layer of a cheese sauce or something on it. Alfredo sauce? Great pizza at this pickup only back door operation behind the Farm and Fosherman in Cherry Hill. If you hit the dumpster you went too far. Go on the website and order your pies. We did the kids cheese that advertises it is slightly less "done"/charred (and it was) and another pie with truffle cream, shaved mushrooms and house made fennel sausage and bacon. Dang it was good. Ordering system SO flawed. They tell you a pick up time when you check out. We showed up early, it was done, but was cold like it had been sitting there 20 minutes. He then got a text 20 minutes after we picked up that the order was ready, if we would have waited for that text the pizza would literally be freezing. Back door pizza is located behind The Farm and Fisherman Tavern. Pretty easy find, however limited hours. They don't open until 4pm Wed-Sat so don't count on eating their pizza for lunch. Highly recommend ordering ahead of time as they do sell out for certain pick up times. You just walk up to the door and knock. Someone will come out and ask you the name on the order. We ordered the "vodka, hold the tonic" pizza with half sausage. The pizza itself was cooked to perfection, did not taste burned at all. The vodka sauce was delicious and the pesto drizzle was necessary to complete this pizza. My only complaint is there was barely any sausage. For the price point of this pizza, I expected a little more. Pretty good pizza in a speakeasy style. Would recommend trying at least once if you're in the area. This Back Door pizza place getting great reviews is with walking distance so I had to see what all the hype is. I'm from Buffalo Ny so I know pizza and this was all about the hype as it was the best so far in South Jersey. Got the pepperoni added the Jalepeno topping and got thier house honey to drizze over the top and blue cheese to see if it was homemade and to dip the crust . The pizza was loaded with topping g and the doughy was nice light and still crispy with minimal flop . I highly recommend and will definitely trying this 2 or 3 more time while working on the Jersey shore. read more

My friend and I decided on the overloaded pepperoni pie and my Lord, it did not disappoint. Thin slices with a good thick crust, and the most pepperoni per slice I've had in my life. The garlic aioli wasn't something I'd get again, didn't have enough garlic flavor. BUT the most glorious surprise, the butterscotch pudding. Bury me in it. Back Door Pizza has been on my to do list for a while now, and I was finally able to order from here and now I'm not sure any other pizza will ever live up to the deliciousness that Back Door served up. My husband placed a Friday night order as soon as they opened for a 4:30 PM pick up. We went with the Mushroom and Vodka Sauce Pizza. We had heard great things about this pizza so we had to give it a try. When you get there you drive around the back and follow the arrows to the back door pizza shop. There is a small alley way to park and not much room for multiple cars. You are instructed to knock on the door and ask for your order. We requested a pick up time of 6:30pm and arrived right on time and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for them to come out with the pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza was disappointing. My husband and I had initially tried placing an order on a Friday... and they were sold out already. Totally bummed, which made us want to try it even more (Funny how that works). They only have a certain number per day that they've prepped, so once sold out, they are sold out for that day. So our plan was order it in the middle of the week instead which we were much more successful! But you can order ahead of time if you want it for more of the popular times! Pizza They have lots of different flavor combinations to try... which I basically want to try them all. But when trying a pizza place for the first time, we like to try the basic meat and cheese! So we went with the Carnizza! Ordered online and it was ready for pickup! Upon opening the box, looked great and yummy goodness just filled the air! I know some people would think it looks burnt, but it wasn't! The crust was crispy, buttttt i would have liked the middle to be a little bit more well done! Other than that, the ingredients were great and I know this restaurant uses good quality ingredients. This is South Jersey's answer to Pizzeria Beddia. It is absolutely phenomenal. The menu is very seasonally inspired and I'm looking forward to trying the Swiss chard/garlic crema pie. They have a TON of vegetarian options and even their toppings are not run of the mill. The hoagie onions are amazing!! We tried the cheese pizza (three types of local mozzarella) and a Pie with peppers (slight tartness and sweetness to them) and the hoagie onions are addictive. They taste like they got pulled off a bursting South Philly hoagie. In order to pretend I'm an adult we also got the chopped salad. It was fantastic - different lettuces, chickpeas, green olives, onions, tons of grated cheese and more. The dressing was a fresh creamy Italian, not heavy at all. I can't say enough about how delicious the sauce is, how rich and tangy the cheeses are and how perfectly crunchy yet tender the crust is. Directions - you literally have to go around the back of The Farm and the Fisherman. You will be standing near dumpsters but who cares bc life is currently a dumpster fire anyway and the pizza is worth it. Also really like their funghi pizza for a non red sauce and have had their Budino, which wasn't anything too special honestly. Don't be put off by the prices: your taste buds will easily affirm the high quality of the ingredients used. This is gourmet wall-to-wall. We ordered 3 pies: Greens & Garlic, Lucifer and a Plain with mushrooms. The first thing your tongue will notice is that the dough doesn't taste like cardboard. It actually has a unique, wholesomeness before you even get to the toppings. Next the sauces will make your head explode, they are layered with so many wonderful flavors. Finally the toppings. The mushrooms tasted like they just were sliced. The greens and garlic were superb. The spicy Lucifer more than lived up to its name in heat. NOTE: BDP is only 8 weeks in business and is still relatively unknown. The online ordering system is seamless and back-ended by Square Pay. To accommodate customers, orders are stacked in 30-minute blocks. You cannot wait until 4pm on a Saturday and expect a place in line for that night. Finally got around to trying this place after hearing rave reviews about it. We ordered the Boardwalk Tony and the Carnizza. The Boardwalk Tony, which is an upside down pizza, was very good. The Carnizza, with pepperoni and sausage was good, but very greasy. We also had the butterscotch budino, which was excellent. Overall, this was very good pizza, but not as great as it is hyped up to be. And the prices are higher than basically every other place in the area. So, while good, I'll stick with some other spots that I think are better. read more
