Decent pizza, TERRIBLE service. SO, after seeing that this place was listed as "...#16 best pizza joints in the world," a claim that I quickly debunked on the internet, I DID see that the Westmont location WAS in fact the #29 best pizza joint in the US. Okay! SO, not being that far, and pizza being one of the only foods my daughter will eat, we headed over to get a slice. Party of 5; 4 adults and 1 6yo. We arrive and quickly find parking on the street, and walk over to Briccos; an unassuming corner pizza joint. As we walk up, we notice people sitting outside, but there is no host/hostess anywhere. We walk inside, where a TEAM of people are making pizzas, the counter girl is on the phone, and numerous other staff breeze past us, running food or handling other tasks. Still, no one to talk to about seating.....ok....we stand around for like a minute, looking around. We must have looked lost enough that a young man FINALLY asks us whats up, and we tell him we would like to dine in. He looks around the pretty full inside area, and starts doing math in his head. I mention that we saw some tables outside available, and would actually prefer that, so we all head outside. Once there, he sets the table up for FOUR, while he states that he "has to figure out how to get a 5th seat...." We mill about around the table, blocking the sidewalk. We mention that a DIFFERENT table would actually hold all 5 of us easily, so we move over there. The table is dirty, but we don't care at this point. Seating issue resolved, we sit and wait for service. And wait. And wait. It's 7-8 minutes or so, and no one has come by; we don't have silverware for everyone, we don't have menus. I go online and start looking at the online menu. Finally, someone shows up, hands us a carafe of water, and 4 menus. We already know what we want, because I looked it up online, but before we can order, he's gone. He comes back a few minutes later, with 4 MORE menus, and we tell him that we are ready to order: a large Bricco pizza (basically a plain cheese pizza, and a large Miami; a Bricco pizza with pepperoni, burrata, and calabrian chili honey) and an order of fries. To be fair, the fries came out pretty fast, with 3 dipping sauces. They were a BIT greasy, but they WERE tasty and the dipping sauces were great; one just plain ol' ketchup, one a spicy aioli, and one a mayo aioli. The pizzas took FOR. EVER. to come out. Literally, 35-40 minutes. When they DO hit the table, they look great. Coal fired all the way; charred edge, thin crust, but not floppy, nor crunchy. Just a great, toothsome crust. They drop the pizza, and we ask the waiter for another carafe of water. After he leaves, we notice that every other table had a basket of spices/grated cheese/etc, but we were never provided any. That was the last time we SAW our waiter. He never came to check on us. Never came back with that water. When we were done eating, I had to walk inside to get a to-go box myself. When we finally saw him we begged for the check so we wouldn't have to wait another 30 minutes before seeing him again. I would say my Briccos experience was more a 2.5, but the service was more bad than the food was good. I would say that ordering takeout from here might be nice, but I wouldn't want to come do a sit down dinner here again. It's a shame, because the pizza WAS good, but the service was not. No greeting, no attention, no follow up, no consistency. Again, I would totally ORDER a pizza from here again, as long as it's strictly pickup or delivery. read more

This looked like an old-time traditional pizza parlor with the coal oven in the front and a dining area in the back with a wood tile setting throughout. The menu had a lot more than just pizza while the service was appreciated. For starters, the stuffed long hots ($12) and a beet burrata salad ($14) were ordered. There were three long hot peppers with sharp provolone and Parma prosciutto that were baked in the coal fired oven. These were great. The char on the peppers was unique due to the coal fired oven being used. There was plenty of filling and each long hot had its own heat level as one can never know how hot they will be. The salad had roasted beets, burrata, arugula, and a pistachio basil vinaigrette. This was solid. I was most interested in this due to the vinaigrette, but I did not taste much of the pistachio basil flavor. The beets were pleasant while the large burrata gave the salad a much-needed creamy factor. For an entrée, the large stinger pizza ($30) was ordered. It came with buffalo mozzarella, tomato, spicy soppressata, honey, basil, and mint. This was a well put together pizza. The only issue I had was the power of the soppressata. It really took over certain parts of the pizza, but besides that, excellent. The char and flavor of the crust was the best part of this pizza. The honey was a nice, added touch as well. Today I visited with my 13-year-old son and had a very disappointing experience. The staff member handling the register and service was rude and inattentive. I had to ask if we could sit down, and even after that, we were never offered water. Our drinks were served in plastic cups. Meanwhile, other families who arrived after us were treated differently--they were offered water and served in glassware. The inconsistency in service was very noticeable and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The hardest part was having to explain to my son why this was happening, especially while seeing other children around his age being treated differently. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unequal. No parent should have to justify or explain unequal treatment to their child. read more

I've heard some really great things about this pizza spot and decided to give it a try. Came here on a Friday night and the place was packed. Parking is a pain since there's only street parking or if you're luckily you might find a spot in one of the parking lots however Bricco is in a perfect downtown location next to other bars & restaurants. We waited about 20min for a seat which isn't too bad. Unsure if it's only first come first serve but if they take reservations I definitely would make one. The waiting area is veryyyyyyy tight and small however there's a glass window where you can watch the employees making the food. Food comes out very fast and it's also BYOB. Pizza has a great flavor but in my opinion I prefer pizza with a solid bottom. The middle is floppy/soggy however the dough/crust is nice and fluffy. Great place to come to with friends and family. I'm giving this Caesar salad a 8.1 /10 I'm on a mission to find the best Caesar in south jersey. The best part was they gave you bread AND toasted breadcrumbs. The anti-crouton salad makers usually do one or the other (bread crumb or soft bread), which makes you have to choose between crunch or comfort carbs. But they committed to both and I deeply respect that. I wasn't anti-traditional crouton before, but this bread/bread crumb combo got me on board. The dressing was good. The roasted chicken was good but I prefer grilled. The shredded parm was a nice touch. Excellent job. I haven't been here since before Covid but it was just like I remember. The food is amazing. We ordered large Margherita and sailor (white with spinach) pizzas and the chopped salad. I loved the sauce on the Margherita. Fresh basil and cheese! The standout was the Sailor. I love a spinach pizza but I prefer red sauce so was hesitant since it's a white pie. This was my favorite. Service was ok. It wasn't busy but he didn't come back after our food came out. We had to track him down for drink refills at the same time as the bill. He didn't offer the kids menu until we asked. The kids pasta was brought out first!!!! Definitely a plus! The kids pasta and meatballs was a hit. It came out steaming hot so that caused a little meltdown having to wait but all good. It was quick to get a table on a Sunday afternoon. Everything was clean but because we had 4 and a high chair the only possible table was not the best. The air conditioner was dripping on some of us. This is a very good place. The wings are excellent! Super crispy and tasty and although $15 might seem a bit pricey, you get 10 wings and they are meaty. The kale salad was very tasty and fresh and the large was plenty for 2 people. I was expecting just a bit more from the pizza. It was good, excellent crust. We got meatball as a topping and it was disappointing. I'm used to sliced meatballs when I order it somewhere which allows you to really taste them. They crumbled them, kind of like a lightly seasoned ground beef. I would not recommend spending the extra $4 for them. Overall the pie was good, just not excellent. Came here to meet up with friends after hearing good things. This is the original location, with a new location in Cherry Hill. The restaurant is located amidst many bars/restaurants/businesses. There is a shared parking lot with Pour House next door, and there is street parking as well. The restaurant is cozy with limited seating and very little space to wait. They do not take reservations, so we waited about 40 minutes on a Friday night for a group of 6. We expected this, and weren't bothered. However the limited indoor waiting space was a bit challenging as it was chilly outside. The serving staff was quick and helpful. The fact that it is a BYOB is a huge plus! Pizza was great and seemed to have good quality ingredients. Price was reasonable. The only downside was the noise level. It is a cozy dining room and the noise level was a lot to me. It was not the best option for catching up with friends, but I would be interested to try it again on a less busy night, or maybe sit outside when the weather warms up. read more

But the last two times we have ordered via doordash Bricco has waited until the dasher was there to inform us that they were in fact out of pizza, setting us back another 40 minutes for dinner. No bueno. And then they were totally unhelpful in getting us a refund. So that's it for them. There are too many other good options in the area, don't gamble on these guys for dinner. read more

While visiting friends in Haddonfield and running errands in Cherry Hill, four of us stopped in to Bricco Coal Fired Pizza for lunch and enjoyed some piping hot, tasty appetizers: Ricotta Zucchini Fritters, Arancini Cacio e Pepe, and Bricco Fries before sharing two large, thin-crust, slightly charred pies: Carni (sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs on a bricco pie) and Diavolo (fresh mozzarella, spicy sopressata, calabrian chili, hazelnut romesco, nduja). Was surprised by how spicy the Diavolo was, as we're used to ordering similar pies and it being barely spicy. Next time we'll definitely try the Short Rib pie (short ribs, caramelized onions and fontina cheese with arugula garnish) and some of the coal fired wings, which we heard have an extra something something because they're coal fired in the pizza ovens instead of being fried, as well as some of the other offerings, because everything being served looked amazing! read more

We went as a group to try Bricco for the first time. The owner was extremely friendly and made sure we had a great first experience! We started off with mozzarella and prosciutto. The mozzarella was made in store and was extremely tasty. We ordered 3 pizzas for the table: clam pie, tomato pie, and the stinger. All of the pizzas were amazing! This is definitely the best pizza in the area! The Caesar salad and chopped salad with Italian meats were also very good. We ended with their cannolis which were large and very tasty as well. Their pizzas are probably more dark/burnt than most people are used to, especially around the crust and undercarriage of their pizzas. I would definitely get the Spicy Chicken Pizza again (less spicy than I thought which was great). Bricco is exactly what a neighborhood joint should be...consistent, community-friendly, and downright delicious! Coal fired pizza is a sensitive thing for me as I am picky about the dough, the seasoning, and the char. Too often I have been disappointed by pizza places that either overly-char their pizza or they over-manipulate the dough to the point that it's tough. Bricco was love at first bite. They actually age their dough and they ensure that their ovens are at the perfect 1,000 degrees at all times. Their pizza (of any and all varieties) steals the show, but do not pass up their amazing appetizers, salads, and desserts. Save room for the Pizza Fritti e Nutella, which are essentially freshly made Zeppoles that you dip in a bowl of Nutella. Need I say more? We especially love the Ricotta Zucchini Fritters and the Pesto Arancini...great to hold you over until your pizza arrives all hot and bubbly. Parking is easy. They have their own lot as well as an entire side street for ease of parking, and they offer outdoor seating in the warmer months. BYOB and open for takeout during the pandemic. Pretty plain order- q cheese and a pepperoni for the 6 of us ( wife played it boring and denied more- adventurous suggestions), but really good. Crispy crust, spicy pepperoni, excellent sauce and regulated cheese. Perfect. French fries and Aoli dipping sauces were also really liked. Questioning Yelp's 4-star rating on this. Fantastic pepperoni pizza. Comes in 2 sizes. Smaller is perfect for 2 people. Larger is a family size. For takeout order extra cheese. Re-heats better. I also get light pepperoni so as not to trigger my gout. See photo - that is with light pepperoni and extra cheese. The mascarpone cake is delish and not overly sweet. Italian donuts (zeppoli like) are yummy and very sweet - the dip is Nutella. Hey! It's dessert enjoy yourself. An old trick - take dessert home. It's nicer to eat later when you aren't stuffed with pizza. read more
