From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

The bread was nothing to write home about and they put Ham on it which just to me is not an American type of club sandwich. My friend had the taco salad was steak and let me say I was pretty impressed. What was lacking was the service. The girls were just sitting around, not coming and checking on the table and just standing and talking. One of us ordered a martini and it was served in a regular glass, a short one. And it was full of vermouth she kept coughing from the amount of it. Then when the check came, it was $97. I can always do a quick math in my head and I was like that's about $20 over what it should be and the lady had brought over the little device to charge she said we can't go back to review it. You have to pay for it and then you can look at the receipt when I print it out. To me that was some of the worst Customer Service ever. They had charged us twice for the taco salad 1895 and then an additional 2495. It was the steak one so it was correct at the 2495 but my friend had to get a credit. They need a little bit of work to do since they just opened up. The food is good but service is really important and getting a tab right is the basics right?

We went today and had a wonderful time and a delicious meal. It was $45 for each adult and $20 per kid for the Mother's Day Buffet. There were so many food options like salad and fixings, salmon and rice, eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, crab legs, shrimp, an omelette station, all sorts of cakes and pastries, sliced strawberries and fruit. There was sausage and bacon and so much more. It's such a beautiful place and the people that work there are so nice and so friendly. If I wanted to complain, my only piddly complaint was that they ran out of forks but even that was rectified quickly. There is so much to like. Haters gonna hate but I'm gonna love.
