I had a great experience here with my husband. A big thing to note is that they're technically still in the "soft opening" stage and working out the kinks, so I think a little patience may be needed. I'll section this out: Activities: there's a wall jukebox, two pool tables, two dart boards, a shuffleboard table and foosball table. They seem to be fixing the pinball machine and setting up an indoor simulated golfing system. They are currently offering if you are eating then you can use the activities and will eventually implement a pricing system (I think he said $10 an hour, which is reasonable). I think this would be a great place to hang out for teens to older adults. I wonder if they will have a rule of after X time no one under 21. Ambience: lacking in decorations, but again soft opening so I imagine they're not entirely sure what they want to be. They support a local flower business for table decor which is good. Nice variety of different tables/seat types and good spacing between each. Lots of tvs, feels a bit sports bar like that's also not dimly lit or so full it can be enjoyed as a dinner/date. Saw a back patio as we left but didn't go out to it. Food: my husband loved his smash burger and the good amount of fries. It filled him up! The cheese bread was good, a little too much blue cheese for my preference but bread texture/cheese gooeyness was nice, presentation a bit lacking. Ahi tuna fish was very good and fresh, I didn't expect an actual puck of fried rice but the textures were complimentary and flavors blended perfectly. It felt like an enlarged appetizer that would be a great dish to share. Hibiscus lemonade was refreshing, but not sweet enough (could've used some more lemonade). Staff: they were very nice and attentive. Answered our unending questions. I forgot something and they placed it somewhere for me to pick up, which I'll do sometime next week. Issues: the internet went out and we couldn't pay by card, I believe having a card imprinter would be a good idea for them as we had to return later, we were $6 short on money (not including tip), after our movie. It was nice they trusted us to come back. We will be coming back, especially when going to the theater only 4 minutes away. This feels like exactly what I've been looking for since moving to Lake County, a nice place to have a monthly date with my husband. They plan to have special events (like a New Year's party with a small ball drop).

I was long overdue to take my cousin out to lunch, so finally we did it! Harlowe's was the spot we chose, and it was definitely a good choice! This place is cool; it used to be a brewery. The still and all the beer making apparatus have been removed and replaced with decorative items and games, like billiards and shuffleboard. Fun! I'll begin by saying the service was exceptional! The food menu, while not extensive, seems to have something for everyone. We opted to order a starter and a lunch item and split them. We started with the Asiago bleu cheese bread (which was delicious) and then moved on to their French Dip, which is served with Swiss cheese and horseradish aioli. With the sandwiches you actually get to choose your included side. I will say I was bummed they were out of the polenta fries this visit, so we went with onion rings, which were excellent, so it wasn't too bad after all. We both had iced tea to drink, and it was really tasty, not too weak like I fear whenever I order it in a restaurant. On a side note I will just mention they do have a pretty extensive adult beverage menu. I will need to return to try those polenta fries! I suggest you give this place a try if you're in the area.

I had fun here! The Ahi Crustinis were good. If I had a critique it would be that maybe the bread wasn't fresh enough to be toasted to give that crisp. At any rate I still grubbed down it was good. Played darts and pool. Very fun for a date night. Restroom was very clean but bruh the butt gaskets were out...minor over sight. I like the calendar they had posted in the Restroom. I'll be back, I had a great experience, the staff was really really nice and that makes everything. This is a fun people place!

YAHOO! My neighbor told me about this new place in the neighborhood and our first visit didn't disappoint. The French Dip was everything you could ask for. The roll was slightly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, filled with mounds of roast beef and just the right amount of melted cheese. Fries were crispy, thank heavens. Side salad had a delicious housemade Bleu Cheese dressing. My only negative would be, I personally would have preferred more Romain lettuce in my side salad, for a more crisp texture. The Carrot Cake was full of flavor. The establishment had all kinds of cool activities (pool tables, corn hole, darts.....). Our waitress provided excellent service and answered all our questions, which helped us pick our entrees. We definitely will be back, next time to try their burger. We also heard they change their menu monthly, which is a cool idea. WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD HARLOWE'S!

I was starving and past 9pm the choices in lake county that were not fast food are skinny to say the least. I found this restaurant on Google maps and did not know that to expect. The interior had a sports bar chic vibe but it was chill. Our server was super patient with us. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Caesar salad. Which was utterly delicious! The tuna was seared just right and the house-made dressing was yum! We also had the battered cod with polenta fries. Very delicious with the tar tar sauce! Overall a phenomenal experience and we will come back the next time we are in the area.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting the area and was very impressed with this establishment. Great food. Great decor. And a fun atmosphere. The staff is awesome. Very welcoming and attentive. Seems like a place where regulars come to eat as most people knew each other. Which is a great thing. We had the special on Monday night which was chili verde. Very very good. Great flavor and the pork was so tender. Rice and beans perfect. We also had the elote dip that comes with lime chips. Great mixture for the palate. We tried the stuffed mushrooms with crab. Very good. The crisp outer shell of the mushroom with the soft crab inside gave a great combination. The bar drinks were made well. Classic margarita and a Cadillac margarita. Played a little table shuffleboard after dinner. Just a great time. They have TVs around the place for the games as well as corn hole out on the patio with two pool tables inside. So if you're looking for a fun place with amazing food and some local company. This place has it all. Enjoy.

Issuing a rare 5 stars here, but The Beehive is truly special…read more On our low-stimulus, off-the-grid vacation, a trip down from the mountain had us stop in for a late lunch/early dinner right at 4pm. We couldn't have prepared for the quality, and memorable nature of the meal we were served. Cannot recommend this enough for readers. Arrival and Seating: First, the welcome was warm and the service attentive--even at the start of the shift with a lightly-staffed crew. We were greeted in a warm manner by a fellow wearing a SF Giants cap (always a good sign), and invited to choose our table. We sat indoors on a warm day (it was about 95ºF) window-side, and enjoys wicker and bee-themed decor. The chairs had a relaxed shape that had me slouching (in comfort) immediately. Drinks: As I was driving, my partner ordered to his palate--which included two mezcal drinks. The first was the Tropical Storm, which had a great balance of passionfruit, pineapple and lime against a well chosen mezcal--smoky, but not acrid as can sometimes burden the spirit. The second bevvy was the She Devil and was a spirit-forward drink combining smoky mezcal and Xila with herbaceous Strega and Aperol (or Amaro in course case), balanced against lime. All delicious, as I confirmed with poison-tester sips. Tapas: We compared the tuna; on the Smoky Ahi Tuna, the flavor of mezcal was incredibly unique; on the Chicharrón de Aton, the texture of the fried tuna was nice and chewy, along with a spicy Fresno chili garnish. Entrees: My partner had the burger, which was juicy and served evenly cooked for medium--which we found desirable. An unlikely star on the plate, however, was the papayas braves substituted as a side. Their sweet berry glaze (blackberry?) made them almost like candy, and was perfectly balanced with a chèvre aioli. I went with the Chicken Poblano Pasta (never had fettuccine with corn sauce, I thought), and whoo boy was I in for a treat. The sauce was verdant on account of the poblano pepper, which lent a great flavor. Balanced against it was the corn, which was both grounding and provided a pesto-like texture. It was a hearty proportion with the large grilled chicken breast, but we came hungry and I left no crumbs. Last Thoughts This modest little restaurant in a modest little Northern California town was so good it became a memorable experience in itself on our modest little vacation. We left content (and full), and feeling good. I hope you have a chance to stop in, and leave feeling the same.

They have used lots of decor in remembrance of the previous business, like the big saw outside and the saw lights. Quaint establishment w/ patio seating, small bar (4 seats), good amount of tables, wooden floors. Greeted immediately with a smile. Menus, utensils and water provided quickly after we sat. Our server shared the special of the day, what wasn't currently available and when asked of his favorite quickly responded with some gems. My partner knew exactly what she wanted - Pineapple Cauliflower Salad22 (Crispy Asian cauliflower, mixed greens, cabbage, carrots, peanuts, crispy rice noodles, sesame seeds, crunchy garlic, pineapple pico, green onions, and edamame with a Basil-lime vinaigrette 1/2 Cauliflower salad). I had a bite and it was very flavorful. The cauliflower looked like orange chicken. This dish is vegan btw. I was torn between the fish and chips and the Jalapeno Bacon burger. The server said it was a favorite earlier so I went with it. (Grilled Short Rib, Brisket, Chuck patty served on a toasted brioche bun with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, fried jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and onions with our overloaded sauce). Man was this good! The burger was juicy, the thick cuts of bacon and the sauce. Everything complimented one another nicely. They make their ketchup in house throughout the week. You can tell too! It has it's own flavor that outdoes regular ketchup. The fries were crispy, lightly salted and just enough. Service was friendly. We were checked on throughout our meal to ensure the food was good and so were we. They do offer a rewards program we signed up for. This is definitely going to be a go to spot for us. Can't wait to explore the menu!

On the other side, one of my family members had the special pork dish (some sort of pork tenderloin) and it was bland. First off, they were so welcoming when we checked in. And I love that it's so pet friendly. Hostess that checked us in was a doll. The inside decor and the layout was so cute. One side is the hostess counter and right across from there is a waiting lounge area which I believe is also utilized for dining. Walking through, they have indoor seating to one side and the bar area to the opposite. Also dining available along the hi top bar counter. We had a big group which they had us set up on the patio. Another beautiful layout. It's like dining in a community garden slash secret garden. Our waitress who took care of us was amazing. So sweet and very friendly. Not just her but the entire staff there. Menu wise looked amazing. Also it was also a recommendation from one of the staff at a winery we were just at. Drink menu was quite huge too. Of course food was on our mind and it did not disappoint. Big group meant a lot of share plates to start off. A double of things ordered to start off. Daily crudo which was served with wonton chips. Fresh fish with all spices and marinaded. It was fresh and delicious. You gotta have oysters if it's available. Curry deviled eggs was quite tasty as well. Your classic eggs with a little twist. Mushroom egg rolls were a hit. It literally came piping hot so it was a little wait till we enjoy it and it was delicious. Came with two dipping sauce which paired very well. Salsa macha fries, similar concept as the elote corn with the coltija cheese, lime creme and cilantro. Brisket can also be added which we opted out for. Then there was the grilled Vietnamese steak with the not so sticky rice in a cube form. Cooked perfectly and the crunchiness of the rice was perfect. Also the dipping sauce was great. Beef brisket tacos were another hit. Two orders and loaded with meat and all the topping. Very flavorful and delicious. Cant come here and not have their almost famous chicken tenders. Big chunks of chicken battered and fried to a nice golden color. It was so juicy and served with pickle chips and dipping. You can have it hot or now with the sauce. Crispy duck confit was delicious. Nice potion of duck with bitter greens and duck fat potatoes. Brazen burger, which was pretty massive. Classic burger but better and with bacon and fries. Then you have the kimchi noodles, added chicken and shrimp or without. That dish was tasty. You either love kimchi or not and the way it was prepared with pasta, delicious. And lastly, the special was a hot ham sandwich I believe. Served with potatoes salad and gherkins. It was a hefty sandwich with loads of meat and cheese. Simply but so good. Food was excellent as we literally had loads from the menu. Of course loads of recommendations which I know why. The food was exceptional and service was great. Restaurant is beautiful and service was excellent. Also they're so pet friendly. Plus, we ordered a dog patty for the pup and it was quite tasty...lol.... Can't wait to come back, hopefully soon.
