I saw 2 dermatologists before seeing Tammy. They both told me I needed to go on Acutane - but after seeing some friends/family members on it I truly felt like my skin didn't need a solution as intense as that. I decided to try one more location/derm to get a 3rd opinion. Without Acutane (or any intense or invasive procedures) Tammy and Shakeh have TRANSFORMED my skin!!! Perks: - they are very flexible with appointments - Tammy is extremely kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. I appreciated her kind words and guidance while I was dealing with my acne. She truly listened to my concerns and has been extremely supportive during my entire journey. - Shakeh is just as amazing! I see her for facials every month and she does miracles! A couple of months ago, I faced a serious predicament when Huntington Hospital misdiagnosed me with the worst type of cancer. For months, I was unable to sleep, running from one doctor to another in search of answers. Dr. Mehrabi came to mind, and I quickly arranged an appointment with him. The front desk was incredibly accommodating and provided me with the earliest appointment available. Upon my visit, he performed a biopsy, and just one week later, the results confirmed that I was all clear. But Dr. Mehrabi didn't stop there. Alongside his dedicated front desk staff and trusted pathologist, he worked in perfect harmony to ensure clarity regarding my diagnosis. They coordinated with the hospital to review both the old and new biopsy results. After much effort and back-and-forth communication, Huntington Hospital had no choice but to reevaluate the initial biopsy. They discovered that my sample had been contaminated with another patient's sample. If it weren't for Dr. Mehrabi's diligence, hard work, and thorough follow-ups, I shudder to think about what might have happened to me. Thank you for being the doctor you are!!!!

I called my health care company and got them to change her to my primary care provider. I set up an appointment for a month out (her next availability) to see her about a health issue. I filled out all the required paperwork in advance as requested. Upon arrival, I was told by the staff that they are not taking my health insurance, even though I had gone to all this trouble. The doctor recently decided to only accept PPO or cash patients. I guess this is a common theme with doctors who only want to care for people who are wealthy enough to afford a PPO. It's really sad when doctors and their staff have such little regard for patients who do everything "right" to become a patient and try to take care of their health. I was never notified about this change. No one from her office bothered to call me and tell me that the doctor no longer was accepting my insurance - despite her name being on my insurance card as my provider. They expected me to pay cash. I'm so exhausted by our medical system and greedy doctors that don't really care about helping people.
