Located in downtown Campbell. So, might as well make a stop here and buy yourself a cup of tea and walk around downtown! My friend who lives in the area introduced me to Steepers. Very cute, local shop! The owner is super friendly, knowledgable and has a cute British accent! When I first walked in, I noticed the wall of loose tea leaves on a shelf. The teas are organized from black, green, herbal and etc. All of the teas are in a little jar, so that you can smell all the teas. You can either buy these teas in a bag or have it freshly brewed into hot or iced tea. I couldn't make up my mind on which tea to choose, but I saw a sign that read, "Watermelon Oolong tea." WHAT?! I absolutely love watermelon and I am a fan of oolong! I decided to order that iced. YUM! The tea was really good! There is also some sugar and milk on the side to add to your tea. I totally recommend this spot to anybody who loves tea. read more

Wow! Upon walking in and being led to a wall of tea in small aluminum canisters I immediately fell in love Steepers. The wall of tea was a wall of discoveries. You can open the little cans and smell away. Let your nose lead the way. This is such a unique store. Not only you can buy your tea here but you can stay and enjoy them too. There's two tall window tables with high chairs to enjoy them. A bar with a few stools if you want to interact with Julie the very affable owner herself. She runs the place herself. This is her dream project. From designing the carousel itself where you can pick the Roiboos variety of teas to where the accoutrements to make some great teas were on display. Two lovely love seats are situated back to back. Comfortable enough for a tet a tet with your dear friend. So if you feel like indulging in some tea and catching up with a friend without dressing up and wearing a hat, then come meet Julie who's all English and super knowledgeable about her field. Went to the recycle bookstore to sell some books & decided to pop on over to this cute little tea shop! On the left wall has little glass jars of teas that you can smell before you buy, and the right has the loose leaf tea bags. Julie (the owner) was busy with another customer so I just wandered around and looked at all the teas, and they were priced pretty well, especially for the quality. Came in here after a long run on the LG Creek Trail on an extremely hot day. The owner is the sweetest lady who makes each drink to order - down to steeping whatever tea you want on the spot. I got the Iced Raspberry Lemonade that has rose hips in it, and my bf got the Iced Bora Bora Mango Tea with popping pearl boba. They were both incredibly refreshing and we were so excited to find a spot with healthy options that were so reasonably priced, esp for the high quality. I really love Steepers. Unlike other stores, Julie lets you browse at your pleasure and is ready for when you want to order. The roobois teas are my usual, Winter Marzipan Palace and Creme Au Caramel are delicious. As is the green Arctic Raspeberry and Black Kyoto Rose. The Peach green tea is amazing when topped with lemonade. My 9 year old has survived on Night of the Iguana Chocolate Chai during distance learning. It's been a real treat to sit togwther and share a pot of tea whilst playing chess . The quality can't be beat. I love it that Julie will also fill your jars/containers from bulk. My kids can be rambunctious, although the store is not made for kids, Julie has the patience of a saint with my boys. We usually order them the bubblegum tea and all go home happy! read more

Walked to downtown Campbell for the live music on the sidewalks and stumbled on this cool tea shop. Although, its not fancy in atmosphere the selection of Teas is abundant! You are able to buy loose leaf teas - all the varieties you'd ever want to try as well as teas to enjoy by the cup. Owner offers a variety of special drinks to choose from if you're having a hard time deciding. And the prices are reasonable. We purchased loose leaf to take home as well as hot teas to go. We all enjoyed our teas to go. The loose leaf tea we took home were really good as well but the printing on the label is way to tiny to read. I'm definitely a huge fan even though the service wasn't over friendly the selection made up for it. Looking forward to trying it again. read more

This is a quaint little tea shop downtown with literally hundreds of teas to try! It's almost overwhelming at first since the walls are line with different teas; but they are categorized by tea type and are in little bottles that you can sniff. For any tea you can either buy a bag or order a cup of iced/hot tea. We bought two iced teas to go and two bags of tea, trying 4 flavors in all of green/black/oolong teas. Overall, the teas were very light in flavor. I was excited after smelling the samples to try them, but the iced teas we purchased tasted very watered down. They should ask if you want it sweetened first, since they brew it fresh anyways, and when it's given to you iced afterwards, it's impossible to mix in sugar which might have helped enhance the flavor a bit. I hate comparing small shops to larger chains, but unfortunately the teas I brought home to brew were also much lighter in flavor than Teavana. read more

If I lived near here, I'd have tea & relax here often! This is a hidden gem & so is old town Campbell . 46 years in the Bay Area & I'd never been here. I always saw Campbell signs from the freeway, but didn't know what I was missing . I hope this town remains charming with individual unique non chain shops, etc. ! Don't make the mistake Walnut Creek has! The old downtown has lost it's charm & rent is too high for non chain shops . Now it's mostly high end chain shops & restaurants with overbuilding & lots of traffic ! Keep Campbell charming & unique . Maintain the historical aspect of this lovely town! Tea here is delicious ! I departed for awhile in regards to writing this review. I have walked past Steepers many times and during my many forays to Campbells Farmers Market, I finally decided to go in. I had purchased some loose tea from The Somnambulist at the Farmers Market, they were amazing. I sought out Steepers to get a quality tea strainer. Walking into the store I was never greeted with a hello, even though I was the only one in the store. I was looking at tea strainers and accidentally knocked over a plastic tea cup. This seemed to visibly and vocally distress the salesperson. I asked her if they had a particular tea stainer and she said no. They sell that type a lot, but, did not expect any until the end of the week. She did not ask for my name or number nor did she offer to order one for me. The other salesperson just kept looking at me suspiciously. I was able to on my own find the type of tea strainer I desired. Out of the blue, she says yes, that is the only one of that type we have left. This is after telling me they had NONE available. The only time she decided to provide me customer service is when I took out my credit card. The reason for the one star is she gave me a bag for the groceries I had purchased at the Farmer's Market. If I had my choice it would be a -0 stars. If you are a person of color do not shop at this store. read more

I love this place, we come here every Sunday after Pilates and the farmer's market. If you love tea, this is the place for you! From the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the wide selection of teas you'll be in tea heaven. The owner is British and makes us feel like we are in an English tea shop. I have been in the store two times once many years ago and was treated with zero respect so I left without purchasing anything Today - years later, I decided to give it another go and was met with the same exact distain from the owner. (I'm assuming she is the owner.) Her energy is so negative and so belittling I do not know how this place is in business. I am heavily tattooed and I have piercings, but I promise you I am all sunshine and roses and approached her with a big smile and asked if they had chaga tea - and I don't know why both times she has been so incredibly rude, maybe you will have a different experience. However, mine has been incredibly negative both times and I will never ever step foot in there again. not the right energy for me! Ps they don't carry chaga tea. read more

I distinctly remember watching The Real World Seattle circa 1998 and more specifically the episode where Janet breaks down her budget/daily allowance (which, if memory serves me correctly was like $12-15 with some fudged math) and quickly realizes that she's going to need to choose between her daily coffee, cigarette, or food habit in order to make it through the season. I remember this because even though I wasn't old enough to have a job or live on my own, I just knew that seeing Janet's budget issues (bad math and all) would be like taking a glimpse into my future (minus the cigarette habit) and Sophie's Choice-ing between life's little luxuries to get by. Food or beverage? The constant struggle of those with an imaginary disposable income. On any other day I'd be food-choosing. Hands down. It's my favorite thing and for the most part, there's no beverage in existence that comes close to being as satisfying and gratifying... except for the Watermelon Oolong Tea at Steepers. Y U gotta be so good?!?! Being in the neighborhood of Steepers today and trying to decide on something in the way of sustenance when I walked by and saw the sign out front noting that they had the Watermelon Oolong back in stock. I remembered my last trip to Steepers and falling in love with the Jolly Rancher-esque scent of the loose leaf tea, and then turning to see that the girl next to me had just nabbed the last bag in stock. Womp, womp. I left empty handed that evening after doing a brief tasting but made note to accost (in the most socially acceptable way possible) the lovely lady who bought the tea about how she was going to drink it (hot/cold, with sweetener/without) to try and get at least a mental contact high since I wouldn't be going home to enjoy it. I regret not getting a big bag of the tea to take home with me, but in all the excitement from seeing they had the tea in stock I guess I just got carried away and simply ordered a large iced watermelon oolong tea to go. It was perfect. More than perfect. More than worth the $3.75 that I would have otherwise put towards lunch and more than filled me up with it's robust flavor or sweet but somehow not at all sweet watermelon Jolly Rancher flavor. I'll be in the area next week and can only hope they have more of that watermelon crack tea to take home so I can substitute it for the calories I normally consume from eating a whole jar of Tostitos brand melty cheese and clearance soft pretzels from the local market. read more

It took me months to finally stop in here, but am I sure glad I did! The owner is a lovely person, and very helpful and informative on the tea varieties. The shop is in a great location, just across from orchard valley coffee too. I loved that she offers a pre-steeped selection for iced tea, but if you want to try a different blend, she will make a cup of whatever tea you choose! Also, she does not taint any tea she makes with sweeteners of any kind, she leaves you to taste it and add any sweeteners yourself after you try it first! Most places over brew, under brew, and/or have so much artificially flavors added that it might as well just be juice. The owner is awesome and is always so nice and helpful. I really wanted to give this place more stars for the quality of the tea and the cleanliness of the shop. The variety of tea I have purchased I have been pleased with. I do NOT like their labels on the tea packages; if your hands are slightly wet you will rub off the name and explanation of the tea. (Owner's explanation was it was too expensive to get a better labeling system.) A sharpie would even be better! The lady owner and her assistant are complete downers. Their customer service and friendliness are lacking. It could be their English/Austrian mannerisms they are exhibiting. I have been there about four times in the last month expecting it to get better but It has not and they continue to have bad days. No smiles, they seem to be put off when you ask about their teas, and if they converse with you they seem like they are sulking about life. Each time I have gone in, i have brought someone with me and each person I have brought was put off by their attitude. It's sad to write, but I don't expect this shop to be here more than another year. (I believe the shop has been there for 6 years). I think this shop should focus on their online business because they do not have the customer service part down. Maybe in some parts of Britain or Europe this could work, but the shop is in Campbell and most people are upbeat and want this vibe to be continued when out in DT Campbell. If you know what type of teas you like it's a great shop to get in and out of. If you are not familiar with the different types of tea or are new to drinking tea they are of no help. They are a bit expensive too but that's probably so they can pay their expensive Campbell rent. read more

I went to Steepers this past weekend to buy some herbal and/ or decaf tea. It was my second time going to the store. The last time I bought tea at Steepers was 2016. I enjoyed smelling some of the teas and I was excited about the many blends offered. I ended up getting the On the Water blend and a caramel rooibos blend. I have since brewed some of the On the Water tea and it is so tasty. I enjoyed going to Steeper's and definitely recommend it to any tea lover. read more
