Vegan cheese on the menu and the promise of Steampunk decor was the draw for us. The dough is vegan however the house red SAUCE IS NOT VEGAN. Nor is the pesto. Luckily the manager was very engaged in helping us put together our order, took time at our table to discuss our diet, and had a portion of vegan sauce custom made to meet our needs. He did warn us that the sauce would be diminished in flavor as compared to the sauce they typically serve so I can't really speak to what you'll taste if you eat animal products. For us, it was tasty enough, but the crust was the real event. Delicious! It's thin, greasy and floppy in the best way, It folds like real New York City style pizza. The standard toppings were good, too, and vegan chorizo happened to be available today though not on the menu. To be completely honest, it is easier to get veganized pizza at places that have everything on hand. I appreciate the custom sauce but would love if it were a normal item on their menu. Steampunk Pizza is a newer restaurant, been operating less than a year at the time of this 2026 review. I hope more people will request vegan options and as a result the quality and preparedness will improve for this segment of customers. I always credit any restaurant that attempts to improve the option landscape for families of companionate eaters, like mine, it's getting better all the time. We were on the road and called to order a pizza to pick up, and we were put on hold for 7 minutes. We called on a different phone (just to see if the first call was in a black hole somewhere) and got hung up on. We just disconnected the first call bc we were almost at the restaurant and figured we'd just stop by and order. We expected to find it packed. Nope. One table of two and two people working behind the counter chatting it up. I have no idea about the pizza. We ordered it for a family member and we are here waiting on it to be made. I came across this pizza parlor when I was searching to grab something on the go before heading to a wreath craft event. My friend and I knew that we were going to be hungry and the place that we were heading to did not serve food. I found this gem and love the fact that this is non-chain spot. My friend and I love meat lover's pizza so we got that version from this place. Their website was very easy to use and pretty quick to pick up. It's next to Industrial Taphouse in Ashland and parking can be overwhelming, luckily I was in and out with the order. The spot is pretty cute and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - I can def see this place getting busy during the weekends. Pizza was still hot when I brought it into Center of the Universe Brewery. I order the 12" size and it was perfect portion for myself and bestie. Delicious and a new spot that I'll be checking out their other items on the menu. read more

We were staying in the area for several weeks while visiting our son and DIL. They met us here for dinner one night. We were seated right away and took our time reading over the menu which offers so many amazing sounding pizzas. It was impossible for us to decide so we ordered 5 12" pizzas: Clockwork Carnivore, Buffalo Chicken, Superior, Executive II and the most amazing thing ever, the one with crabmeat and Old Bay. Everything was delicious and service was great. You order at the counter and they bring the pizzas to your table. This was probably some of the best pizza I have ever had. Definitely in the top 4. Great vibes within and located in a small strip mall in what appears to be a not so busy area but I'm not from there so I could be wrong about that. We ordered the Pantry pizza, which came loaded with Italian sausage, cup & char pepperoni, green peppers, onions, fresh mushrooms, and mozzarella on a red sauce base. Every topping tasted premium and fresh, and the dough was outstanding--made with non-bromated, unbleached flour, which we really appreciated. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between industrial and cozy, with wooden wall beams softening the modern vibe. Service was friendly and adequate--nothing over the top, but we felt welcomed and well taken care of. They offer a small but thoughtful selection of canned beer, cider, and wine, available for both dine-in and takeout. Outdoor seating is a nice touch, though it's worth noting that alcohol isn't permitted outside. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood. One star off just because the drink selection is a bit limited--but we'll definitely be back! read more

Ordered margarita pizza. Unusually thin dough but taste and texture was excellent.. not a fan of the sauce that was very thick and sweet. No hint of garlic or typical herbs or EVO. Fresh basil leaves topped the presentation and nice char on the edges. Would not order again. If the same sauce is standard fare on all the product line that's not good... in my opinion. Loved the ambiance. Service however with restaurant being empty, left a lot to be desired. Ordered sub which was delivered wrapped in foil just handed over. . No basket, no placemat no comment. Less impressive than local sub shop. Beer and wine selection quite limited. Staff at counter did not seem experienced. Was so hoping this would be a good lunch alternative. First time visit and highly recommend. Lunch visit and helped by Rob. Ordered large pizza and was at table in 10 minutes. Generous toppings, went with sausage and mushrooms. Saw some reviews that crust was too thin and don't get it. First, crust is good and tastes like a pizza crust should, bit of chew and soft. Second crust is just right, pick up a slice and fold together and eat. Easily one of the top pies we've had in the area. read more

Cheese bread was okay - 6 pieces. The margarita pizza was good but crust was overly crispy. Caesar salad served in a plastic container was okay. Waited about 15-20 min for food but friendly (counter) service. We enjoy self-serve fountain drinks, so that was a plus. Cute interior. read more

I stumbled across this gem Sunday night while looking for something quick for dinner. I ordered a 12 inch cheese and 16 inch clockwork carnivore pizza. I'm not a big fan of pizza but my kids and husband love it. I opened the box and my mouth was instantly salivating, lol. The crisp on the edges of the homemade bacon and tiny pepperoni slices were perfect. The crust was just right, not too thick or thin and had a parm sprinkle on it. I will normally eat 1 slice and I've had enough. Not tonight, I ate 4 slices I knew I had to immediately write a review. Unfortunately, by the time I remembered, the pizza was gone so I couldn't take a pic. Needless to say, Steampunk Pizza has a new fan and that's speaks volumes as a girl who NEVER eats it. We ordered two 16 inch pizzas (common marg, virtue). The flavors were quite good. That said, the value for the price left a lot to be desired. The pizza was incredibly paper thin, such that I knew the family wouldn't have enough food the moment I picked up the (weightless) box. For $50 total (with tip) I would have expected a bit more. Thanks to good flavor, I will probably try it one more time in several months to see if the quantity issue was just an anomaly. read more

We got the Machine and Dive Bar pizzas - both were delicious. The crust is perfect! We also got the turkey pesto crunch (cold) and Italian (hot) subs which were also great. Highly recommend! We'll be back soon read more

I am a big fan of Steampunk's sister restaurant Industrial Taphouse. I was hoping the pizza would live up to the standards at IT. Sadly, the pizza was very disappointin. We ordered the BYO with cup and char pepperoni, a cheese pizza and a 12 inch with Italian sausage and mushrooms and peppers. The total cost for pick up of the three pizzas was about $50. My 12 inch pizza ended up being the most expensive because of my topping choices at $2 each topping. The toppings were ok. The pepperoni and sausage were good but very spicy. The cheese was just cheese-nothing special. The real problem was the crust. It looked good but when you bit into it the crust was so tough that I had to rip it with my teeth just to get a bite. I had high hopes but alas we won't be back. read more
