This is not a review for their construction work as we didn't get to that stage. They botched two appointments and we ended up using another GC.
We were referred to Stealth Construction by a friend, and called them to schedule an estimate.
They only do estimates on Wednesdays they told us, and the earliest they could meet was 9:30am. And their appointments aren't actual appointments - they're 30 minute windows when they say they'll show up. I guess it's hard to actually commit to showing up somewhere on time, so there's that.
Then we scheduled an appointment notwithstanding the above. They no showed, and when we left a voicemail asking what was going on, they never called back.
I got an email a week later saying that our "upcoming" appointment (apparently, they had it scheduled for a week after we had agreed on the phone) was being pushed a week.
OK, I say. Let's do that.
So I show up at 9:30 now two weeks after our first no show appointment. At 9:50am, I call and ask if someone's coming (20 minutes into the 30 minute "window" even though this time I was told the appointment would actually be at 9:30am).
I get told that there are no appointments booked for the morning. Nice.
And then she says that I'll get a call back once she checks in with her colleague. She calls me back 5 minutes later to say someone is coming, but they're coming in 20 minutes. I say that, given they are 45 minutes late, I would have appreciated a call to let me know and see if it's OK. She says, it's not yet 10am. Yep, that was true.
Really frustrating and it seems like they do good work, but hard for me to trust a company that can't make the first appointment a priority to show up at a scheduled time and keep an appointment.
I know it's tough to put a star review for the appointment setting, but I thought it was important that people know that it may take some effort to actually get in the door with these guys. It may ultimately be worth it, though we never will find out. read more
