We just hired him again to finish our job after the GC quit! (GC's floor guy butchered our upstairs and basically ruined our new floors) We thankfully got Sye to do our first floor... the difference is incredible! The floors looks like glass when the light hits them... so smooth to the touch! Sye had the difficult task of trying match our original floors and deal with our uneven framing from 1955. He was more run up to this task!! He has come a long way from when we first met him and has obviously focused on perfecting his trade!! Sye uses an extremely high quality sander that left our home with legitimately zero dust!! (The GC's guy required professional cleaners after he did our floors!) Sye also used very high quality stain and finishes... which can take a bit longer but are well worth the wait!! Sye was able to fit us in his schedule almost immediately (which was a huge help cause we are trying to refinance). His quoting software and brochures also simplify the process... so if you are unsure of what style or finish he can easily guide you! I looked at a few folks to have my roofing replaced before I put solar on and Marcos was the most affordable and also came highly recommended through sites like this so I felt comfortable going with them. Their team came at around 7:30 and almost finished by sundown at 6:30 that night. I have a very large roof with a lot of intricate details so there was at least 16-20 hours to do this I thought. They were great and Marcos was so wonderful to work with that I had to leave a review for others. His competitiveness on price, excellent labor warranty on top of the more limited shingle warranty offered by GAF, and his many years of experience ultimately drove my decision. My roof was a bit of a pain to do work on, ~25 squares, a fairly steep pitch (as it's a home from the 1800s), and the previous roof was in complete disrepair as the previous owner just kept adding layer upon layer of shingle to repair the old roof. The roof deck underneath was original as well from the 1800s and was fairly rotted (this added an unknown cost at the end of the work, but it wasn't too bad, and still kept the amount under half of the other companies we were looking at). His team worked from 7 to about 5-6PM (during the late winter) and had the roof done in about a day and a half. So far so good with the roof work. Would definitely work with Marcos and MJT Home Improvement again.
