We found this place on Tripadvisor, where it was ranked one of the top things to do while in buenos aires. I saw that there were not many reviews for this place on yelp so decided to post in both places. Let me preface this by saying the following:
-my wife and I went to 3 Asados while in Argentina (including another very popular one in BA; note that I loved that one). The goal of these gatherings, I learned, was to enjoy a night of socializing and eating, with the focus being on the social aspects.
-My wife is 31, I am 37.
Note that I am not going to knock the food here, but rather the experience. Food was actually great by steak standards. The four hours of sitting there bored out of your mind because you are surrounded by a table of 22 retirees sucked. No joke, on the night that we went, 13 people were all from some cruise, the other people, with the exception of ourselves and some poor young single girl, we on a guided tour across South America. Average age of this event was 65 and I am being generous. Some things discussed at this event:
-why cruiselines are great
-why Trump is a good candidate
-colonoscopy experiences; I can't make this stuff up! They were talking about colonoscopies.
By the end of the night I wanted to shoot myself. A whole night wasted. If you are somewhat young and want a good steak, I would suggest trying out any of the other parillas (steakhouses) listed on yelp or tripadvisor. We went to a few and they were all good and the meal was cheaper. And you didn't have to listen to retirees talking about colonoscopies for four hours. If you are a retiree, and worried about having colon cancer, then you will probably love this place.
Finally, a suggestion for the owner. If you plan on booking the entire event with guided tours and cruiselines for the night, maybe inform the people who aren't part those tours so that they don't come on that night. I mean who knows, maybe we got unlucky and another night would have been people are are at least you know, not incontinent? read more
