Holy hell... I'm writing this review while still sitting in the drive-thru -- and I'm literally the ONLY car here. Nobody inside either. I've been waiting going on 30 minutes at this point. I honestly feel bad for the lady working because she appears to be running the front, the drive-thru, and probably cooking too. But not once has anyone come back to check on me, apologize for the wait, or even acknowledge I'm still sitting here. What makes it worse is I already paid with a credit card, so now I can't even just leave without trying to get a refund. I even have a 360 snapshot showing how empty this place is. I try to be understanding, but communication goes a long way. A simple "sorry for the wait" would've changed this whole experience. read more

Tasty burger but service is slow. Keep up the good work I will definitely be back for more

The place was nice. Just your typical fast food place connected to a gas station. Steak and steak is still salty but the shakes do tend to balance all that salt out lol. Nice and quick when you need it. Staff decent but not the most personable but meh, oh well. Saw a beautiful rainbow while we were there! read more

Mediocre food, horrible milkshakes. The food is served very quickly and the decoration feels like an old diner which is cool. However, I can't pay $10USD for an insanely greasy burger that doesn't have any unique or interesting flavours. Any milkshake that has chocolate tastes of burned rubber. read more

I have to say maybe it's because it's a steak 'n Shake on the road but it was not that great. Usually when we have steak 'n Shake, it's amazing the food is cooked perfectly and the shakes are amazing. But not this time. The hamburgers were under cook even though I said, well done. The shake that I had tasted like some kind of chemical was in it, and I couldn't even drink it. Hopefully it's just this steak 'n Shake, and not the ones that we usually frequent. Like I said, it's on the road in a gas station stop so hopefully that's the reason. The service was OK although the guy wasn't very pleasant Taking our order, like he was annoyed. The place was clean, and a few tables to sit at if you were eating in. Hopefully things get better for them. read more

Food was good. Room was clean. Order came up quick. But fair warning- SALT is the #1 ingredient. Also, the staff do their job but don't seem very happy being there. read more

I have stopped here many times in the past. It has always been a great place to stop for gas, clean restrooms, and cheap burgers. This time I wish I could give this location zero stars. We placed our order inside but ate in our truck. The inside was dirty. Everywhere I touch was sticky. The employee's appearance was comparable to a diesel mechanic. The price on their menu is incorrect, prices are different than what they charge you. The food made me sick. My husband's burger patty had a huge plastic paper. We quickly pulled over for him to throw up. Sad because steak and shake is normally Sooooooooo GREAT;" / read more

It's a long time Steak & Shake fan. I was excited to see them make it to Texas.... Perhaps now I have a better understanding of why so many stores have closed across the country.... They were best know for amazing shakes and good burgers... At a great value... shakes were the main attraction ... if you dined in they'd be served in a clear glass you could see the distinct flavors wrapped around each other. They were decadent.... This was vanilla ice cream with a few pumps of artificial flavoring... too thick to drink and no flavor to care... The fries were stone cold and no seasoning... not even salt... The burger was as just ok... except it's pretty common knowledge that if you order extra cheese and bacon it should be layered between the partties... As any burger and fry eater can tell you the first bite is a fry... I instantly knew I had a problem. But as soon as the set the bag on the counter the server scurried off to the back to gossip with the other employees and wasn't to be seen again.... I was there about 20 minutes and never a employee was spotted... Absolutely avoid this choice for a meal of any kind.... It's really too bad read more

A real joy to see a new Steak 'n Shake in Texoma. Only 30 miles from my house, and a weekly round trip drive is on my agenda now. Burgers are great! Fries are awesome!! What more is there to say ... it's STEAK 'N SHAKE!! read more

Horrible-Horrible-Horrible Why do people stop here?!?!?! I read the reviews and thought it can't be the same poor service and food?? I WAS WRONG!! Wouldn't do shakes cuz they only had 2 employees?? Really?? It wasn't busy so why won't you do a shake?? That's just lazy & poor/no customer service. And the burger was so small and tasteless DO NOT EAT here..it's the only way to let owners/management know they won't make any money!! read more

Almost didn't stop here due to older reviews, but glad we did. It was super convenient, lots of parking space if you're pulling a trailer and the food was good. Didn't take any longer then you would expect, food was fresh, burgers fully cooked, and the truck stop it's attached to is very nice. Has clean bathrooms and lots of snacks for the rest of your trip. read more

Service was good but literally only had one person there working the last 3 times I've stopped here. I feel bad because it's not there fault but every time I come I can't get a shake. It's sad because Steak 'n Shake was my childhood but this is all cooperate to blame. You can't blame the guy who is working his first week doing literally everything himself. If you can't find people maybe it's because you should look at how you treat your staff. Overall good food made well, and a beast in the back. Just please fix this or I will never come back. read more

I hadn't been to a Steak 'n Shake in a long time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The food is exactly as expected-a greasy steak burger that hits the spot. That is the last good thing I can say about this visit. The employees were apathetic at best, and the bathrooms were so disgusting that my girlfriend (no joke) lost her appetite and didn't order anything. It's obviously a newer store that could be a good restaurant if it got some attention from its owners/managers. read more

I went to the Steak 'n Shake recently for a promotional offer. When I first walked in, I noticed that the floors were cover in sticky substances that made it hard to walk. I then noticed several tables with food and junk still on it, almost as if the customers were too lazy to take them to the trash. Sadly, the staff should have cleaned up a little, especially at the counter where they call the orders for the food. I ordered two milk shakes and paid for them and was then told that they may not make it due to the lack of milk supplies. I wish they would have told me that beforehand. Thankfully, they had enough and I enjoyed my meal. Overall, the service and food were great; however, the cleanliness could be improved greatly. read more

Steak'n Shake is always delicious and a family favorite. The food was quality and the customer service was great! All of the workers were working hard! The speed of the service was a bit slow. But with the amount of customers,(busy Sunday at lunch on a highly traveled highway during summer vacation) it was to be expected. The restrooms were clean and everyone was friendly. We gassed our RV up and shopped for trip snacks. Enjoy! read more

The manager was extremely accommodating and super friendly. He was so helpful!!! The food was pretty good too! The customer service is amazing!!!! read more

Good place for a quick grab and go food. We ordered just milk shakes that were pretty delicious. Though little shake is very small.

disgusting. no staff wearing gloves, the big girl (obviously working for a burger place) had earphones in and no gloves while making my wife's shake. she got it on her hands and just FLUNG it onto the trash. I told her yeah no, forget the shake just give me a cup in which she rolled her eyes. The manager has a very heavy accent and doesn't understand english the best, was charging customers double due to not understanding. the whole place feels like a prison cafeteria, flies, trash, scratched walls, dirty tables. a guy asked for napkins and Milkshake the Hutt, just looked at him saying "Icant hear you". (maybe if you TOOK OUR YOUR AIR PODS YOU COULD HEAR!!!) rolled her eyes, and threw napkins onto the COUNTER. then walked off. it's so unfortunate to see Steak'N'Shake fall to such disgusting lows. read more

They service is terrible. My burger was getting cold before he even started making my shake. Minutes passed while my milkshake was being turned into water, the server ignored my request for my shake as he casually conversed with another customer. I found it curious that the server WAS able to remove the shake from the mixer after I walked away, and while still conversing with the other customer. Simply RUDE! In addition, the workers uniforms were siloed an tattered looking. This is my first experience at this chain, so I don't know about other locations, but I definitely will never return to this location in Henrietta! When I asked for a refund the server refused. read more

God keep driving!!! The worst food ever oooo and I can't tell you what there shakes are like because they worst selling shakes! Mmmm

I waited in the drive through for 10+ minutes after someone said they'd "Be with me in a minute!" The employee was nice, but that is too long to wait in a drive through for fast food. The entire process took 25 minutes. Management needs to schedule more employees during high traffic times. Also, I ordered a Nutella shake and something was wrong with it. It tasted like melted plastic. There was a strange chemical-y aftertaste. I noticed a review from earlier today that said they were told shakes were not being served today...so not sure why I got one and why it tasted terrible. I threw it away. read more

This Steak 'n Shake does not have typical selections. It is a hit or miss spot when stopping and I have had both good and poor service here. On my most recent attempt it took nearly 20 minutes to get food and they informed us they didn't have the signature seasoning for fries so that was a HUGE disappointment. Why have a Steak 'n Shake if it isn't a real franchise spot read more

This is the most disgusting Steak 'n Shake I have ever been to. Every table and counter was dirty and sticky. The floor was so sticky that my shoes stuck. The kitchen had trash everywhere. The counter guy had his mask on one ear dangling it and the kitchen guys had their masks on just their mouth, not nose. I unfortunately did not notice all this until I had ordered and stood for 20 minutes waiting for my food. By the time I got the order, I was so grossed out. I took it outside where my husband was getting gas and threw it away. No thank you! read more

Filthy nasty, both the kitchen and attitude of the employees. I was literally told if I didn't like it to get out. Unbelievable

Limited Steak n Shake menu (no baked beans, no malt powder), but, all the standard burgers, shakes, and variations we've come to enjoy after these years. Located at one end of a truck stop building, with its own entrance, the facility is clean and appealing. read more

Stopped at drive thru, no one answered. Pulled up to window and saw people walking back and forth. This company deserves to go bankrupt!

Filthy!!! Unprofessional people who work there. Made me feel dirty to eat there. Fries were cold Hamburgers were cold Shake machine broken. Run, don't walk away!!! read more

The wait was incredibly long to order and to receive our food. Obviously the Steak 'n Shake is SEVERELY understaffed. Only 2 people were working during lunch rush. AND THEY WOULDN'T SERVE US SHAKES??? What steak and shake doesn't serve shakes??? So disappointed!!! Although the people who were working were super friendly, this location desperately needs more workers! read more

Honestly, I don't even recommend stopping here. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Steak & Shake, especially the shakes. Which is really the sole reason why I even go there. But I've been to this one twice in the last 4 months when I'm on my way to Texas from Oklahoma (because there are no Steak&Shakes where I live) and each time has been less than satisfying. Each time I've been I was the only one in the restaurant. And each time I ordered a shake (literally the only reason why I stopped there) I was told that they are "not doing shakes today because they only have 2 people there". Which honestly doesn't make sense to me because not only was I the only person in there ordering, SHAKE is literally in the name. It doesn't help that each time I went the employees acted as if they were inconvenienced when I ordered something that WAS ON THE MENU. The second time I was there I went through the drive thru and nobody even greeted me on the intercom after waiting for 10 mins. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was broken so I parked and walked in. Turns out it wasn't broken, they just suck at customer service. Anyways, if you have a sweet tooth and are craving a shake, don't waste your time stopping at this steak&SHAKE. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. read more

Disappointed! The wife and I drive all the way out here anticipating Steak 'n Shake like I remember - Not! It took entirely too long and our burgers were cold. We will NOT be back read more

Waited in line for over 30 minutes for overcooked burgers. The meat was so overcooked it was crispy. I felt bad for the girl in the drive-thru window. She was so apologetic for something that was obviously out of her control. I will never stop there again! read more

Slowest service ever. I get working in the food business but all i have is a cup of chili and small fries and i've been waiting for 25 min. So I go online and joined their eClub. I received a coupon good for a FREE cheese burger and fries combo. So......I drive from Wichita Falls to Steak and Shake in Henrietta(19 miles one way). Cheeseburger, small fries, and a small soda for $4.08. I will be emailing Corporate about Henrietta NOT accepting THEIR eClub coupons. 38 miles and $7.50 in gasoline!!!!! read more

Food was good, even for only 2 people working the service was good just could of been a little faster but overall it's a good restaurant

There were only about three other customers in the restaurant, but it took over 15 minutes for us to get our meal. I couldn't get over how slow the service was. Hope the burgers taste good, because I am over this place. read more

Way overcooked on the burger, and cold fries. Disappointing. Second time here. I thought the poor quality the first time was a glitch, but same thing again. read more

Drive thru is incompetent. They didn't give us bacon cheese fries because it's not on the menu, although they do have cheese fries.... and bacon....
