Ambiance is Sports bar divided between a dining room and a bar, providing a clear separation between the "family" and "adult" venues. This is common in some parts of Texas. Friendly service on both sides, but I chose to join the adults for a giant mug of beer to chase some whisky shots with warm chatty patrons. 8/1/25 Stopped here for dinner last night as we were passing through the area. From the outside this place looks like any other small diner in a strip mall setting. From the inside, still looks like any other small diner in a strip mall setting. The tables are either booths or wooden tables with wooden chairs. There are TVs lining the walls and some booth have TVs at them as well. Every one if tuned to sports. The ceilings are high and the vibe is sports bar meets middle of nowhere, local hangout. The place was very busy for 7:30 on a Friday night and the atmosphere is uber casual. Greeted by a seat yourself sign, we found a table in the front corner, by the window, and waited for our server. Within a few minutes we were waited on and given our drinks. First place in a long time that carries Coke products and offered diet Dr Pepper- good start. We order onion rings as an appetizer and I got the soft taco basket while hubby got the crunchy taco basket for dinner. We hopped up shortly after we ordered and moved to an empty table a few feet away because the AC in the area we were sitting was unbearable. Way too windy and way too cold. Found our new seat to be better from a warmth standpoint. Onion rings came out and while there were only 6 in the basket, they were huge and cooked to a nice golden color. Unfortunately, they were a little bland, but with some salt and ranch, not too bad. My soft tacos were delivered open face on a large plate. Interesting presentation for sure. There were 3 and each came with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I ordered sour cream on the side and am happy to say, they were delicious. I only ate 2 of the 3 so proportionally they were a very good offering. Hubby's order included 4 crunchy tacos, same fillings- except no tomatoes for him- and I took a small bite to taste the shell. No complaints from either of us. Our server was really sweet and other than a slight delay between getting our drinks and ordering dinner, service was fast and efficient. Hands down one of the best burgers I have had in AGES. Place was open in that odd time between lunch and dinner so we gave it a try and it was pretty darn good. What we tried: - bacon cheese burger - made fresh to order with a handmade patty - chicken side salad - beware these are huge! - glass of cider - slice or cheesecake What really sold us on the place though was the staff. Something for everyone. The nachos with chicken or beef, the quesadillas, and the burritos with pulled pork are delicious!!!! The chicken sandwich is the only thing that I've had that wasn't spectacular- pro it is fresh chicken, con chewy and flavorless. The fresh cut fries are perfect, too. Oh and the mozzarella sticks are outstanding as well!!! Service is generally really great, friendly, and fast as well. read more

Came here with some water aerobic family after class. We had a new hire helping us, who was older in age, but new to this business. I always get a chef salad. It was very good as always. I came with 5 friends and we waited a bit to get our food. Once we realized a friend at the table didn't get her food we asked and her tickets was not submitted! So we waited longer because we didn't want to leave her. The waitress kept forgetting what we asked for like refills, napkins. We had a really good experience at The Northside Grill in Wichita Falls. I ordered the garlic parmesan wings with fries, and both were excellent--crispy, flavorful, and perfect with their house ranch dressing (which is really good for dipping). My boy got a catfish half-plate, and he absolutely loved it. My daughter got the full order of chicken strips, and it was so much food that she couldn't finish it! My sister also ordered the catfish and said it was amazing--lightly battered, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. She also mentioned that she was told it was gluten-friendly, and she had no reaction at all, which was a big plus. Her only complaint was that the corn and green beans tasted like they came straight out of a can, so next time we'll definitely go for the mashed potatoes instead. I didn't get to try it myself, but the New York-style cheesecake at the table next to us looked incredible--I'm definitely trying that next time! For drinks, my sweet tea was perfect--refreshing and balanced--but the lemonade was very tart. Unless you like it that way, I'd recommend mixing it with the sweet tea for a great Arnold Palmer. Our waitress was clearly busy but still managed to be attentive, friendly, and helpful, which really made the visit enjoyable. All in all, The Northside Grill is a great place for hearty portions, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We got into town after a long day of driving. We were really hungry. I decided that we wanted a typical American style food restaurant.. The menu was great. From burgers, fish, traditional Southern dishes to Tex-Mex favorites. Service was great. Food came out hot and made to order. Everything is made fresh when ordered. Friendly servers. Lots of TV's lining the walls with different sports games on. It was pretty busy and there were only 2 tablets available but the noise level was great. My only negative was that the mashed potatoes were so bland and the dessert menu was pretty small and basic. read more

We tried this place as we were traveling through. Our server, Callie, was excellent and gave us good suggestions as well as answering any questions. Our food was very good. My hubby ordered the Mac & Cheese bowl, new on the menu. The Mac and cheese was creamy and had a great flavor. It was topped with crisp tasty chicken strip bites, green onions, and came with sauce of your choice. He chose the garlic parmesan - very good! I had the half size catfish plate with home fries and fried okra. The catfish was cooked perfectly and had just the right seasoning. A half order was plenty as their full servings are huge! We spent a night in Wichita Falls on a trip to Michigan and we needed to find a place for dinner. We ordered while driving into town and picked it up to take to our hotel. Both our burgers were excellent and the fries were good also. The fries have been better hot but that has to do with it taking it to our room to eat instead of eating there. read more

Food was good and service was ok but I didn't know that they didn't give suckers anymore. I went for one of my favorites, tacos, and then I got my receipt and to my surprise I was told they stopped giving suckers which was a staple of theirs. Well that was one reason I would go to Parkway and Northside grills but I will miss their food but changes that made them a local favorite I will take my business elsewhere, just my opinion read more

Went here yesterday for lunch after work with friends. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted with smiles and the sweet and savory smell of BBQ! We decided to sit in the bar area and I took advantage of their $2.75 drink special. I was expecting the drink to be super small and weak, but it was the opposite. My vodka tonic was 12 oz., strong, and delicious. Since I wasnt driving I had two. We flipped through their menu and I decided to get their chicken wings and a side of their chili. One of my friends got their all beef chili dog with fries and my other friend got their bbq chicken sandwich. My chili was delicious and super hearty and not too salty. The wings left a little bit to be desired as they were not super flavorful, but they were big and I loved that they gave me both ranch and blue cheese. I definitely would come back and get more of their chili! I loved the entire vibe of the restaurant. The music was jammin and there were tons of tvs for watching sports and news. If I wasn't so tired from having to be at work at 4am I would've stayed longer. read more

Absolutely love the cob salad! I especially love that they separate the grilled chicken separately from salad as to not wilt the greens. Talking about their greens, not a sack salad, it's fresh lettuce!!! It does make a difference! My only minus is sometimes the bacon seems like it might have been deep fried and is a little too crunchy, otherwise their salads are wonderful. I forgot to mention their ranch is made by scratch! You can get it fried, grilled or blackened, each way is outstanding. They are also known for having the best fried cheese sticks and wings. The texture was a little more crispy than regular burgers but the flavor was present and similar to that of a normal hamburger patty.
