Famous Fried Cheese

This place and Yelp suggestions did not disappoint!!! Our server was the sweetest thing ever and very attentive and on point. She suggested the cheese sticks and oh my, they were HUGE and delicious!!! Definitely a must if you stop by. All of our dishes were packed with flavor and also HUGE! Now when you enter the parking lot, the parking is scarce if it's a busy night and kind of at an angle so a little awkward. You walk in and seat yourself. There are a lot tables, seats and TV's. Our booth seats were dirty but nothing really that we couldn't just knock off.

Stopped by here with my son before dropping him off for his 2nd semester at MSU. I wanted some local grub that had wings and burgers, and not the everyday BWW type place. This spot does not disappoint. My son ordered the wings, and I had the parkway classic burger. Waitress was very friendly, and I can't say enough about the food. Wings were sauced very generous, and they were very filling. Burger was cooked perfect, and hit the spot. I'm only surprised this place wasn't packed, but then again it was a tad early in the afternoon. Inside is very chill, and very clean, which is always a huge plus. No doubt I'll be stopping here when I visit here during spring break.

A Wichita classic. Love this place and the environment. Great to watch a game at. Huge portions. Staff always give you a lollipop on the way out.

We've eaten in and carried out a number of times and we like the food but the service is frequently sketchy. We don't feel uncomfortable or anything like that. The problem is the orders are frequently wrong. One call in order was totally wrong, they tried to fix it again and gave me another family's order, and had to fix it again. The servers and hostesses seem to have been hired based on appearances. If you like to see scenery, you'll like it here.

The ambiance is like the classic pub. The staff is super friendly so their service was great. Their food is always great and delicious. This visit I got the happy hour tacos. The tacos were full sized and loaded for $.99 each.

Catfish plate was good. Large size fed two people. Fries were kind of bland and squishy, but the catfish was hot and fresh.

The good: --- The salsa is very good, more on the watery side for you texture people, but definitely delicious... --- The enchiladas were very good and made exactly how we order them (multiple types of sauce on them)... --- The beans and rice were really good as well... This was a to-go order... The bad: --- We ordered online, the price it gave us was $25.18... When I got to the store to pay, the girl told me $25.42... When she handed me back the receipt, my order was $26.30... I don't know what happened between the online order and the drive-thru window, but from the drive-thru window to me swiping my card I did notice... They charge a fee if you use a card instead of cash... Now, while I understand that some of the smaller businesses do that, it would be much less cringy if they would do like some other small businesses I've seen and have the card price as the price that shows, and then "surprise" patrons that use cash with a cash discount... It feels a lot less like trickery that way instead of being told one price and paying another, even if the difference is fairly small, it's still tacky and more about the principal than anything, and don't assume someone has more money in my card than what you initially tell them... --- The salsa is good, but they could give more than that little cup or more than one when you order multiple meals... The food was the star here... It was good and overall gets a good score... Please consider the price advice in the future when the prices for your food change again...

Let me first start this review by saying that came at lunchtime primetime at 12:30 and the parking…read morelot was full. This is a popular location in the small town of BurkeBurnett.. The restaurant is a little bit, faded and worn the signage around the building as well as the trash receptacle definitely needs a little bit of revitalization. When you enter in the door, we were greeted immediately and seated right away. The waitress was exceptional as far as being attentive to the table, making sure the drinks were refilled, and even asked if I wanted an extra basket of chips before the food was served. The decor is bright and colorful, but it is a very small dining area with a small bar. They had quite a bit of cocktail mixed drink, and beer offerings. I opted for a iced tea with lemon.. I ordered the sample platter so I was able to get a taste of a few different items. It arrived very shortly after it was ordered. I did include a picture when it was first put in front. It seemed very appetizing, but unfortunately, at least for my taste the chicken taco I ordered was a hard shell and ample filled with ingredients, but the chicken was canned and had that metallic canned taste.. The second item was the cheese enchilada and I ordered the green sauce. The green sauce was very flavorful salted just right and had a nice kick to it. But the cheese inside the enchilada was not melted so unfortunately, every bite the cheese was laying inside there just as it was placed and not melted together. The pork tamale that came with the sample plate was very small in size it did have ample filling in it, but it was extremely heavily seasoned. Definitely had that Tex-Mex flavor to it on a scale of one to 10 I would rate it probably 3 1/2. The reason for that is just it was a very overwhelming seasoning taste. You couldn't really taste the MASA or the filling individually. The beans were ranchero style with whole beans and some other spices. Very similar though to what you would get out of a can. They did not have refried beans that I was aware of. The rice was light and flavorful.. overall I would definitely say I would not have chicken from the can at this restaurant unless that something that you enjoy. The chips and salsa were actually very good. The chips were corn and crunchy and had lots of nooks and crannies so to hold your sauce. The salsa had lots of garlic in it and a nice not overly salted seasoning definitely one of the bright spots of this lunch. The service was outstanding. And there is a very good size menu, including some American food offerings which should lend me to come back and try the spot again maybe something different would strike a cord with me. But for now, I'm gonna leave this at a three star rating.. one word of warning they do have a 3 1/2% convenience fee for using a credit card. If you show up with cash then maybe the 3 1/2% won't be a surprise for you. I was unaware and it did add quite a bit to the Bill. they do offer a 10% discount for military.

This is common in some parts of Texas. Friendly service on both sides, but I chose to join the adults for a giant mug of beer to chase some whisky shots with warm chatty patrons. Food on the Tex-Mex platter was plenty and very satisfying.

From the inside, still looks like any other small diner in a strip mall setting. The tables are either booths or wooden tables with wooden chairs. There are TVs lining the walls and some booth have TVs at them as well. Every one if tuned to sports. The ceilings are high and the vibe is sports bar meets middle of nowhere, local hangout. The place was very busy for 7:30 on a Friday night and the atmosphere is uber casual. Greeted by a seat yourself sign, we found a table in the front corner, by the window, and waited for our server. Within a few minutes we were waited on and given our drinks. First place in a long time that carries Coke products and offered diet Dr Pepper- good start. We order onion rings as an appetizer and I got the soft taco basket while hubby got the crunchy taco basket for dinner. We hopped up shortly after we ordered and moved to an empty table a few feet away because the AC in the area we were sitting was unbearable. Way too windy and way too cold. Found our new seat to be better from a warmth standpoint. Onion rings came out and while there were only 6 in the basket, they were huge and cooked to a nice golden color. Unfortunately, they were a little bland, but with some salt and ranch, not too bad. My soft tacos were delivered open face on a large plate. Interesting presentation for sure. There were 3 and each came with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I ordered sour cream on the side and am happy to say, they were delicious. I only ate 2 of the 3 so proportionally they were a very good offering. Hubby's order included 4 crunchy tacos, same fillings- except no tomatoes for him- and I took a small bite to taste the shell. No complaints from either of us. Our server was really sweet and other than a slight delay between getting our drinks and ordering dinner, service was fast and efficient. Dinner cost about $45 in total- with tip- so not too bad for a quick stop in a little town. Hope you enjoy

If I order family meals, they don't come with plates or utenclis. They gave it to me once, then the next time I came, Cody the owner said he remembered one of my other orders, and one of their employees told me to order from catering menu if I wanted plates because it wasn't free so he can't give them to me again. I told him the app where I order and finding the catering menu wasn't clear so he suggested I call them? Who has time for that these days? I spent $200 to feed 10 ppl without drinks. When I got to my office, they didn't have any plates and the office manager had to go buy some for her staff! They're also hardly on time every time I've ordered. I usually place my order pick up time to allow 15 mins for them pack it up/find it. There's so many options in Wichita Falls to get take out and people who go above and beyond for customers, especially repeat customers. It's a shame he stiff armed me today. Not to mention, I'm 8 months pregnant and you can definitely tell, but you want to argue with me and say you don't have any plates in the restaurant but if it was a catering then you would have had some? Crazy. 10 plates is all I needed.
