OK, we're not talking Michelin star restaurant here, but for what it is, it was very good. Came to steak 'n Shake on a whim craving some cheesy grilled cheese sandwiches and some cheesy covered fries. The place had a few people eating one large table with like six people and a couple of tables with 2 to 4 people. The one thing I don't like is that they no longer offer waitress service. Prior to the pandemic, you can get a waitress and an order of food at the table and that was nice. Now they use those machines that I really hate using to place your food orders. I had a very simple order two grilled cheese sandwiches extra cheese and french fries with cheese. My food was hot and fresh. The fries really crispy and skinny, the grilled cheese sandwiches oozing with cheese. Oh, and one additional complaint. You have to scan your ticket to get soda and it's not easy to use. I've never seen that before. Overall, I mean it is fast food and it was tasty. I just think steak 'n Shake would be better if they had the waitress service again and they took away that scanning machine at the soda counter.

The kiosk

Best burgers in town. I like the kiosk payment method they have. No deal with the staff making order, you pick what you want in the kiosk and they make it for you and that's it.

Burger and fries

Restaurant is extremely clean. They have lots of kiosks where you go in order yourself then you choose a seat and wait for your number to be called. The burgers are hot fresh and juicy. Since I put this restaurant in a fast food category the burgers are much thicker and better than the others. Save your receipt with the QR code because you have to scan it to make the soda fountain work. Fries are thin and crispy, the shakes are phenomenal!

Place is clean

First, the restaurant appeared clean. Tables were wiped down and it appeared neat. The floor looked clean but seemed sticky when you walked. The kiosk system is ok, you order and pay at the kiosk The drink station could be a little temperamental in tfat you must scan your receipt before it allows you to get your ( self serve) drink . 2 burger meals were about $16 simular to McD's but the burgers were way better.

The best coockies and cream shake

I had my daughters birthday party at this location and everything was great! From the time we came in everything was setup for us and the manager Sam and Gail were outstanding! Thank you guys for making my daughter birthday extra special

Amazing staff! Amazing food I'm surprised there aren't more people checking this place out. I used to work in Steak N Shake in Miami and I don't think I had could made the food half as good as they do!!!

Once in a blue moon I get cravings for onion rings, the Frisco melt and a shake and I come here. Hits the spot. Soooo mmmmmm

Aww man what happened? The quality here has gone a quite a hit down hill since I first wrote my 5 star review in 2021. On our last visit the burger buns were not fresh, the meat had an excessive amount of steakburger seasoning (to the point where it was excessively salty and off-putting) and the fries were cold. We really disliked the food all around and came to the conclusion that this Steak 'n Shake really hasn't been very good since the first few times we ate there in 2021. Our new go to is Habit Burger and the quality is far superior to Steak' n Shake. There's no two ways about it. Long story short, one star down from five. Won't be going back I don't think.

Mint Oreo cookie milkshake with whipped cream
Jim P.

In honor of National Ice Cream month, we visited Steak 'n Shake for some milkshakes. (Ok, isn't every month ice cream month? I'm really not looking for any excuse to eat ice cream. Really. That's my story & I'm sticking to it.) Although we were happily surprised to see the extensive list of shakes, we probably shouldn't have been since "shake" is part of the name of this place. As a purist (wife says my tastes are "boring"), I ordered the vanilla shake. It was creamy and rich... just like a good shake should be. My wife enjoyed her mint Oreo cookie shake. The mint was a bit artificial tasting, but the pieces of Oreo cookie throughout the shake contributed to the overall good taste. It was spoon-worthy (thick enough to eat with a spoon rather than with a straw) yet it could have been even thicker to be a top-grade shake. Overall the shakes are a good value as compared to similar, and even less creative, options at other restaurants.

Unsanitary!!!!

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

A few of the things I liked.. - Fruit juice used for mixers is made in-house fresh daily. The drinks are creative and made well. - The sweet and sour cauliflower, the sliders, the chicken and dumplings. - Servers are always knowledgeable and attentive - indoor and outdoor seating with fans on a warm day. Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try and seeing if you agree with my review.

Don't sleep on Boynton Beach - cocktail bar vibe, hiding in plain site in a strip mall... this gem is chef inspired and simply amazing. We tried the wood fired asparagus served on toast with a gooey egg and then the pork belly grilled baby bok choy and both had me in the happy chair dance. Although steak definitely makes sense with a wood fire concept, instead we tried the lamb rack served with a mint sauce combo that has you cleaning the plate and local pompano served curry lite with wild mushroom (delish)! If you are a foodie make your way here. This was a spot where one (or is it just me) considers maybe we order everything to try? And we left the fun for another time. I have my eye on their spiced lamb bolognese and another amazing cocktail. The cocktails are mostly milk fat clarified which adds yet another fun twist to a new fav spot! Make a reservation and if you are in the area during the day it is a solid cafe. This is how I found it to begin with! Nom nom nom - enjoy

It's like sitting next to a warming fire. This time we tried the grilled asparagus, the grilled baby bok choy with pork belly and gorgonzola (our favorite), the luncheonette burger with crispy fries, the double cut pork chop with grilled cabbage and pickled mustard seed, and the waygu lamb (I know, a lot of food!). Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails. I don't know how they got them to be so clear. The bar tender was great and the cooks were working very hard. The owner always comes by to say hello and chat. Second Rodeo varies the menu.
