Came here for a work dinner and we had a wonderful time. The ambience was good and I liked how we could change the brightness of the lamps on the table as needed. The bathroom was also nice and had heated toilets and thick paper towels. The service was great as well, our servers were really nice and knowledgable. They explained the menu and were familiar with everything and were able to answer all of our questions. They also checked in on us frequently and changed our plates in a timely manner. And for the star of the show, the food! We enjoyed a variety of the menu and did family style for our appetizers, sides, and desserts, which was amazing so we could try a little bit of everything. They started us off with complimentary bread which was nice. For appetizers, we started off with the seafood tower, which you can customize with oysters, crab, shrimp, and even lobsters. We opted out of the lobster but the oysters were fresh and delicious and the shrimp were huge. The cold bar is actually displayed towards the center of the restaurant which is a nice show of how fresh their seafood is. We also got the hamachi, torched scallops + caviar, A5 kobe "wine fed" ny strip, and wagyu beef tartare. All the appetizers we tried were delicious but I was blown away by the beef tartare. This was the best tartare I've ever had! For our main course, a majority of us got the ribeye cap, which was delicious and a lot bigger than I expected. I got it cooked medium rare and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Just enough salt and beautiful crust. We also got some lobster tails on the side. We got a lottt of sides and shared them. We tried the creamed spinach, mac and cheese, sautéed wild mushrooms, sautéed sweet corn, blistered shishito peppers, roasted brussels sprouts, crispy hasselback potatoes, boursin cheese whipped potatoes, chef daniel's au gratin potatoes, caesar salad, and broccoli. My favorite side was the sautéed mushrooms. I think the other sides were pretty good but nothing extraordinary. We finished the side with some desserts; we got the ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake and triple chocolate bombe. I liked the caramel cake the most. The contrast of the cold ice cream and warm cake made it so good. The candied pecans and whipped cream paired perfectly. Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely come back for a date night so I can share this with my partner!

Talk about an expensive dinner but it was a memorable one! Ever since this spot opened I have heard incredible things about it and my husband and I decided to do a little date night dinner together since it had been awhile. It was a Friday night and wow it was a very busy spot and when you first walk in it does seem like a loud spot. Thankfully when they walked us to our table we got sat in a private booth that was much quieter and you could actually see into the kitchen which we love. We decided to splurge a little so we did go with one of the waygu steak options to share as well as the mac n cheese and hasselback potatoes as the sides. We also go the cesar salad to share which they split onto 2 plates for us and it comes with a poached egg on top which was interesting but I enjoyed. We did start with the crispy shrimp which I am not the biggest shrimp person but these were so good!! How could I forget about the dirty martini. It was the largest martini I've ever had and they give you the shaker on the side so it is well worth the money. Now the house bread that they bring out is just buttery goodness our waiter even gave us some to go as well as the creamy horseradish which was perfection! Overall it was a great and very expensive experience but one I will remember for a long time!

I don't always enjoy a $250+ fancy meal on myself for a single meal...but when I do, it's when a vendor is treating me! Great service from the hostesses, bartender, bussers, and staff. Gorgeous, elegant and modern inside! Love the open kitchen sections. COCKTAILS! $22 Expresso Martinis and $22 Old Fashioneds are expensive, delish and fabulous! Glad I wasn't paying! $100 Seafood Tower of fresh chilled lobster tails, crab legs and claws, oysters, and giant shrimps..so good! $19 Wedge Salad...an American Classic done exceptionally! $31 Fresh Burrata...the most decadent, smoothest, creamiest and most expensive cheese appetizer I've ever enjoyed! $20 Prime Steak House Meatballs...best meatballs every? $82 22oz Ribeye Steak...JUICY! BEEFY! EXPENSIVE! I love a good meaty well marbled ribeye steak. Extra buttery and melt in your mouth! So good! Easily one of the Top 3 steaks I've ever eaten. Seemed a bit overpriced though, does not come with sides because this is a fancy schmancy restaurant. $16-20 Sides...rich people's version of Mac & Cheese, Creamed spinach, all fantastic. $22 Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake...it is truly decadent, delicious, and exceptional, or ultimate? YUM! So glad I wasn't paying...anyone care to take me?

I've dined here several times and the food and service have always been excellent, which is why we chose it again to celebrate my husband's birthday. The ambiance is beautiful and the kitchen consistently delivers, but unfortunately this visit reminded me why the noise level can be a challenge here. When I made the reservation on OpenTable, I specifically requested a quiet table since it was just the two of us and previous visits have been quite loud. We also arrived early hoping that would help. The evening actually started out perfectly -- we were the first guests seated and the dining room was calm and relaxing. Shortly after, two very large parties (around 10-12 people each) were seated right next to us. The noise level escalated quickly and became overwhelming. It got to the point where my husband and I could barely hear each other and eventually stopped trying to talk because it was just too difficult. Our server was also taking care of those large parties, so service slowed quite a bit. Dessert took a while and the wait for the check was longer than expected. When I asked if there were quieter tables available, our server mentioned that the window tables tend to be the quieter option if you arrive early and request them. That was a little frustrating to hear since I had done both when making the reservation. That said, the food was outstanding. We ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk with broccoli, corn, and whipped potatoes, and everything was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I truly want to give this restaurant five stars because the food and service have always been strong. But after multiple visits where the noise level has been an issue, it's hard to ignore how much it affects the overall experience -- especially for a special occasion dinner. Great food, beautiful space... just be prepared for the possibility of a very lively dining room.

Celebrated my birthday and wedding anniversary here and we had an amazing experience! We had a 4:30pm reservation and got there early so we were told to wait in the bar area first. We were seated in a private booth section which we loved. Jared was our server and he was very professional and helpful. We ordered bone-in ribeye, upgraded from 3oz to 8oz Kobe, chicken fried lobster rolls, crispy potatoes, shell and cheese, au gratin potatoes, the red velvet bread pudding, and vanilla ice cream and caramel cake. I wanted to add, the complimentary bread is DELICIOUS. I've never had bread like it before. I loved how juicy my ribeye was, and I enjoyed the uniqueness of the chicken fried lobster roll. We enjoyed how private, clean and high tech the bathrooms were as well, they definitely say a lot about a restaurant. We received personally written cards for the 2 occasions we were celebrating along with writing on our dessert plates which was so kind. Parking is not an issue since it is in a large plaza. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you want to splurge on a nice steak dinner/date night.

My fiancé and I decided to go here to celebrate our engagement last night. We were excited because we'd heard good things about it. The restaurant was beautiful but didn't meet my expectations. The food was good but I've had better so I don't think it was worth the price. My fiancé ordered his steak medium rare but it looked rare. I ordered the sea bass which was good but I've had better. The sides were good but I've had equally good au gratin potatoes and Brussels sprouts at other restaurants. The complimentary bread reminded me too much of the crescent rolls you buy at the store which I'm not a big fan of. Half way through eating I started to feel sick to my stomach. I don't have any food restrictions or allergies. I eat everything so for me to not feel well after eating half of my food I was shocked. I still feel sick to my stomach. The drinks were good and the only thing that is worth the price. If you decide to go I'd recommend just going to the bar for drinks. They don't offer complimentary desserts for celebrations. I thought for the price we paid they would've given us something small for our engagement celebration especially because they asked us if we were celebrating something. After spending just under $400 I don't think it was worth it.

Arman!!!! Wow- he was made for this job. You can tell he takes so much pride in what he does. I loved his enthusiasm for the menu- the restaurant, the food- so refreshing. A gem of a human and a server!! As a former fine dining service myself (and picky eater) I can't say enough good things about him. I hope his management team knows what an asset he is. As for the food- wow. Hubby and I shared the Superfopd salad and it was SO GOOD! For our main, Hubby had the grass fed 12 ounce New York strip and I had Chilean Seabas. We shared the au gratin potatoes. Wow. Everything was cooked to perfection and we. Were. Stuffed! But- of course we had to order dessert (why!?? Because it all sounded too good!). I had the triple chocolate Bombe and hubby had the key lime pie (think cheesecake-texture). I mean- I couldn't stop eating my dessert even tho I wa stuffed. It's embarrassing to admit- but Ray had me at toasted marshmallows and a hard chocolate shell (insert happy cry emoji here). All in all I get why this place is priced the way it is. It's the best food- best experience and best service (from ALL the staff!). We love coming back and can't wait for our next visit.

Service as always is stellar and a high end experience from start to finish. This was a work dinner with 12 people. Appetizers and sides were ordered family-style, with two of each for the table. I ordered the 45-day dry-aged bone-in ribeye (22 oz, $154) with a butter-poached Alaskan king crab leg meat add-on. If I could do this everytime I would. The butter soaked into my steak so beautifully, and I actually pushed the crab to the side so I could eat it at my own pace with my whole plate. Family-style appetizers included crispy shrimp ($31), tomato and Alaskan king crab stack ($48), hanging bacon ($29), and (not pictured) Pacific yellowtail hamachi ($39). The shrimp was so good, 10/10 recommend as well as the hamachi. Bacon didn't do it for me, wasn't really a fan. The stack was delicious and it actually felt like a palette cleanser. Family-style sides included roasted Brussels sprouts ($19), crème brûlée corn ($21), shishito peppers ($16), and Alaskan king crab mashed potatoes ($52). The crème brûlée corn always slaps, 10/10. Shishito peppers were a knew side for me they were good and I wish I had took more home. Mashed potatoes were good but I actually don't think the needed the crab. I liked the au gratin potatoes more. I had a non-alcoholic passion fruit margarita ($16). Super tasty but I'm sure it's better with liquor I just don't like to do that while on the clock and needing to drive home. For dessert, I tasted the triple chocolate bombe ($19), red velvet bread pudding ($18), and ultimate caramel cake ($22). I wasn't impressed by the desserts, I honestly could've done without and been super satisfied. They were all very sweet and maybe if I wasn't already super full I'd had enjoyed the more. I'm glad I got the

OMG I think I'm still high from dinner. The entire meal felt like a dream. First and foremost, Jacob and the entire team were incredible. The attentiveness and hospitality made this place a 100/10!!! It was my first time here with my favorite family and friends and we ordered so much! The steaks were just unreal and cooked to perfection. We had the 18 oz bone in filet mignon and it was so tender! Tendernism! My favorite was the kc bone in steak. It had some fat and was very meaty. You'll have to try their peppercorn sauce, it was like a nice gravy. The sides and appetizers were all amazing as well. Get the sweet corn, roasted broccoli, fried lobster and fried shrimp! From the service to the food, everything delivered. The meal here was a great way to start 2026!

AHHHHMAAAAZIIIIINNNNGGG!!! That's all I can say. From beginning til end, service was phenomenal! Karen was great, she was patient but also have her recommendations and explained everything off the menu as well as her top choices. Loved the service from the bussers, who continually cleared the table and set the table. Stayed off with the lobster escargot. I hate snails and was hesitant to get this but it was pretty good. 10/10. You don't taste the escargot at all.. fully lobster. MAKE SURE YOU WAIT FORIT TO COOL DOWN - because when they say it's hot, it's really hot. The butter nearly burned our mouths off because we were too eager to eat. Got the ribeye and filet mignon, highly recommend both cuts. Got them cooked medium well which is still pink in the middle but super tender and melts in your mouth. I usually don't like filet mignon but it was perfect. Our sides was the sautéed asparagus and truffle fries. Asparagus was delicious. Even something as simple as asparagus with salt and Parmesan, it tasted amazing. Fries was ok, probably would get a different starch next time. Table bread was to die for. I could probably eat that every day. Super buttery, light, soft and flakey. Like pillsbury rolls but better. Ended the night with the vanilla cake. OMG! Sooooo gooooood!!! I don't know what they put in it but it was so yummy. Not too sweet and it taste like milk and cereal. They had some type of roasted pecans on top but it was so light, I thought it was cereal toppings. Valet was amazing. They give you a water bottle to go. The guy even ran to my car to open the door. 10/10 service. It's kind of smart what they do though which is making half the parking lot valet. You can try to get lucky and find parking or just pay the $11 for valet. Highly recommended and I will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back! Oh! I also appreciated how they called me the next day to see how my visit was. That was the icing on the cake for me. So great and I can see why they are 5 stars.

Came here to celebrate our anniversary, and it's truly a wonderful place for a special occasion--especially if you love a great steak and don't mind splurging. Even on a Monday night in early January, the restaurant was completely full by the end of the evening, which says a lot. There's a beautiful area near the kitchen with private tables enclosed by glass walls. If we return, we'll definitely request seating there. This was our second visit, and while the service was still very good, it felt a bit less over-the-top than our first time--possibly because a server was being trained. One last thing that absolutely deserves a mention: the bathroom. Heated seats and a bidet. Unexpected, but impressive.

Really enjoyed our New Year's Eve meal here! To be upfront, the steak and cocktails blew away the sides and appetizers, but overall everything tasted great. Service was attentive, and the ambience is lively with pop music and plenty of chatter. Bone-in ribeye: 22 oz giant steak came to us on a sizzling hot plate! It was incredibly flavorful and tender with a great smoky sear, cooked perfectly at medium rare. It was on the saltier side so definitely suggest pairing with a side dish like the mac n cheese. Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs: my favorite appetizer!! 6 small deviled eggs with creamy yolk topped with crispy delicious shrimp and a parm chip Chef's Hanging Bacon: the presentation is a lot of fun, but definitely heavy and filling to eat for two people-- 4 candied bacon slices (quarter inch thick). I could barely touch my steak after since I was so full. Oysters: we paid $5 per oyster, decently sized and fresh. They came with 5 different sauces and mini tabasco sauces. Mac n Cheese: Came to us piping hot, topped with breadcrumbs and herbs. It was pretty bland in taste but balanced the salty steak well. Stonefruit cocktail: if you like sweet and fruity cocktails, this is it.

We were fortunate to have been able to make a reservation 15 minutes before we showed up and things got crazy New Year's Eve. We were seated within 5 minutes and wow! The restaurant is very nice and everyone workin was well dressed, professional and polite. We were seated toward the back in a quieter area with lower light but the lamp on the table brightens and dims. Our servers were Ian and Jayden (hopefully I've spelled their names correctly!) and they made our dining experience so special that we talked with the GM after to give them kudos. The food was delicious. I wasn't too hungry at the time so I got their beet salad and Brussels sprouts and samples some friends' appetizers. We ordered some desserts and wow, so fancy. I got their chocolate mousse ball thing, that's not the official name. Haha It was chocolate mousse filed inside a chocolate shell. Delicious. We will be back!

The burger comes with garlic aioli, and I asked for extra on the side for my fries. I finished the burger and almost all the fries, which says a lot. The burger was flavorful and satisfying without being overly heavy, and the fries were crispy and paired well with the extra aioli. My husband got the classic burger, which comes with their version of a 1000 island style dressing, and he liked it. He also ordered a beer that paired well with the burger. My sister-in-law had the ahi tostadas and tuna ceviche and enjoyed both. The flavors leaned fresh and bright, especially the ceviche, which balanced nicely with the heavier items. The space itself is a highlight. There's a lot of natural light coming in through large windows, and the decor is very aesthetic and thoughtfully designed. It feels bright and inviting without being too loud. It's better suited for smaller groups rather than large parties. Service was great. Our server was very kind and attentive. At one point they accidentally dropped a couple of my husband's fries and immediately brought out a full fresh basket to replace them, which was a nice recovery and honestly a win. With three sodas, one beer, all the food, and a 20% tip, the total came out to $144. Not all food and drinks are pictured (missed my husband's burger and beer, and my sister-in-law's tostadas). Overall, good food, solid portions, thoughtful service, and a well-designed space. A strong option if you're in the area.

Pros: This place is a really solid all-around dining and brewery experience. The food was genuinely impressive, both in quality and portion size. I started with the shrimp ceviche, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and a great portion for a starter. For the main, I got the mushroom burger, which was huge, juicy, and had really good-quality meat. I also upgraded to the truffle fries for $3, and that was definitely worth it--crispy, flavorful, and a great side to pair with the burger. The beer selection was also strong with a lot of variety since it's a brewery, and the samples made it easy to try different options before committing. The overall space is large, open, and really well-designed, with a nice view of the area and a fireplace that adds to the atmosphere, especially in the evening. Service was also great--friendly staff and quick seating even with a reservation at 7:00pm. Cons: Parking is the main downside. It's $6 valet per car, which is honestly the easiest option. Otherwise, you're looking at street parking or an Uber, but the walk from street parking can be a bit far and inconvenient. Verdict: Really great spot in Del Mar if you want good food, good beer, and a nice atmosphere. The portions are big, the quality is solid, and the experience overall is very smooth. I'd definitely come back, especially for a relaxed dinner or drinks with a view.

The ambiance at the bar was relaxed, with a warm, social energy that made it feel like a great after work spot. It had a casual but polished vibe, and you could tell it is a popular time for people to unwind and catch up over drinks and small plates. The space felt inviting overall, although seating choice does matter depending on the time of day. We ordered the HH $10 Sicilian meatballs, the $12 cacio e pepe arancini, and the $10 chicken pesto garlic knot sliders. My personal standouts were definitely the arancini and the meatballs. Both had great flavor and texture, and I would happily reorder them again. Service was decent, especially considering we were sitting at the bar. One small note is that I would recommend sitting facing the back if possible, as the sun came in pretty directly and made it a bit bright and uncomfortable at times. Overall, it was a solid happy hour experience with a nice atmosphere, good value, and a few standout dishes I would come back for.

ALLERGY ALERT - I was excited to try out this restaurant and made a reservation for 8 for a work…read morecelebration. I ordered a nut free salad - one where nuts weren't even listed in the ingredients. Noted my nut allergy put an abundance of caution to the waitress who said she would tell kitchen. The plate came out with a mention of nut free. I started to eat it and glanced at one point at the opposite side I was eating from and found a pine nut. My allergy is severe and im glad I didnt have a reaction. But what made it worse was the lack of care by the GM. I Informed my waitress who was very apologetic and informed me she would have her manager come by. The man that came over was so casual - he said, with no greeting: can I get you another meal? I declined because I was not very skeptical of eating here. And expected at least an apology. But he said: are you sure? Well OK. And then walked off. That was it. No recognition of what happened. No offering to comp the meal. The receipt did come with a comped meal but im still in disbelief at the lack of care by the manager. I will not trust this restaurant again. They also messed up several orders. No salmon on the salmon avocado toast. The wrong meal. We were all over it. I won't be back.
